MFT July Greatest Hits with Amanda Baird

*** this is post no.2 for today-
please scroll down to see a simple and sweet TSG card***

I love this time with My Favorite Things. New is fantastic, but it always feels good to pull out your older stamp sets and give them some inking from time to time. Plus, it makes me feel good about spending money on new stuff (yes, always justifying! LOL!). Even though I buy new stuff, I still make it worth my money cuz I know I'll come back to these beloved stamps over and over again. This month's theme is Amanda Baird. She has just created some of the coolest and cutest stamps for MFt-there is just something for everyone isn't there?

Today I pulled out the sweet little Love Birds. There never has to be a reason to give a lovey card-just because is good enough for me. This sweet set comes with great sentiments of it's own, but I did pair mine with my favorite sentiment from the newer Clearly Sentimental About You. I can't wait till I can sneak this one to hubby-just because. I used one of Mercy's Tuesday sketches, I think it's from last week. Papers are from the So Sophie line by My Mind's Eye (thanks to Jody). I also snuck in the open scalloped die-namics die-I think it's my fave. Well, for right now ;) The inside is done up nice and sweet with some simple hearts in coordinating dp and another bit of the open scalloped die-namic!
There's a whole line up of Amand Baird stamps being used today. Make sure you stop by Kim's blog for the line up.

A Smile for You

I have to tell you, this card was totally inspired by the new Crumb Cake ink pad by SU. It's kraft and I'm so over the moon excited to have it. I pulled out the sweet new release stamp set, Art is a Window by TSG-this bird is just too cute and there are lots of great sentiments. I chose this one, I think it's my fave.
I think I channeled my inner Dawn McVey here. I love what she did for this past release with PTI. I used what I had to create the notebook/ledger look-some basic grey Manilla Basics and my SU Spiral punch. The card needed a pop of color, so I finished off my Marina Mist ribbon with a felt flower and some buttons. The kraft layer was created by stamping the beautiful Sweet Pea flowers with kraft ink and then stitching around the edges. Simple and sweet, just how I like it!

Hip Hop

It's been kind of a chill week around here in our house. I like that, but it kind of makes me lazy. I guess once in a while it's good to be lazy, right? BUT in my crafty world, I've been busy, busy! Like always, right?! Hip Hop is here and I used this week's sketch challenge to motivate me-I love a good sketch. The Unity Challenge thread is updated and organized. Have you checked it out yet? Use keyword, HHSC16 when uploading to SCS.

I kept my card really simple. I pulled out one of my go-to {ippity} sets,Just Wanted to say, for the sentiment and birdie and Love in Return has the perfect flagged banner to use with this sketch. I used some more lovely Graphic 45 dp along with some new yummy SU colors-baja breeze, espresso, and marina mist!

Next Blog

Maria is up next. I can't wait to see what she has created for us this week. Follow along through the hop and if you get lost, you can always pop back to the Unity or {ippity} blogs to find your way. Enjoy the day!

Another night of fun with MFT and the new line up à la mode. Hold on to your seats, you're about to see LOTS of cuteness!
Hopefully you just arrived from Christina's blog. If not, you'll want to hop on back to the start at Kim's blog for all the deets about tonights fun!

The à la modes are a brand new line of stamps being added to the MFT Boutique. Here's some info on them:
  • `a la modes will be available only in rubber

  • Each set is produced in the USA using the higest quality rubber, with the deepest etch possible.

  • Each image and sentiment is backed on cling foam and scroll cut, making it ready for stamping right out of the bag!

  • Packaged in a clear hang bag, we've also provided the ideal storage solution by including a thick laminated header card in each set that can be used to store the stamp set, in its entirety after purchase.

  • $10.95 for the 3 x 4" set.

This month there are two sets being release-Birthday Girl and Picture Perfect.

You're going to love them. I used the sweet, Birthday Girl à la mode. She is colored with copics and layered up the open scallop die and jumbo scallop (Finally got this die in my hot little hands!) die-namics dies, High Style ruffled ribbon, and a giant twill bow!

Up next is the oh-so-talented, Cindy!

Surprise! It's another MFT Sneak Peek!

Don't panic, a whole month has not passed by in a blur. With My Favorite Things turning 4, Kim wanted to keep the celebration going and the surprises coming! There's a new line up coming to MFT and I just know you are going to love them as much as I do. These sweet and chic girls are called à la mode, there is something distinctly different about them (let me just say-cling mount!) and so they deserve an introdution all thier own. Here's some deets on the new line up:
  • à la modes will be available only in rubber

  • Each set is produced in the USA using the higest quality rubber, with the deepest etch possible.

  • Each image and sentiment is backed on cling foam and scroll cut, making it ready for stamping right out of the bag!

  • Packaged in a clear hang bag, we've also provided the ideal storage solution by including a thick laminated header card in each set that can be used to store the stamp set, in its entirety after purchase.

  • $10.95 for the 3 x 4" set.

Here's a peek at my à la mode birthday girl. I had to use some of my new Hight Style ruffled ribbon. I also couldn't resist a large scalloped edge thanks to my Jumbo scalloped die-namics die. She was colored with copics and finished off with some twine and a Bakery Blend button.

Be sure to hop on over to Kim's blog for the full line up of the `a la mode sneak peaks today. AND be back tonight for another BLOG HOP dedicated to these cuties!

MFT Surprises!

Be sure to check out MFT blog today. We've got more FUN up our sleeves. I don't have a sneak peek to share, BUT I haven't showed this sweet Joliene-Just for You card I did for last week's release.
I just think she is the sweetest. My BoBunny dp was the inspiration for this card. I used 2 new die-namic dies on the outside-the rolled flower and the open scalloped.
Of course I couldn't leave well enough alone, and did up the inside, too. The butterfly included with the stamp set was just begging to be used. LOL! I did up the sentiment on part of the Framed Greetings die. You can only get the die with the stamp set-but you'll want them both anyway, trustme!
One more thing, It is NOT stamping related. I'm all about passing on a good thing, especially if you live in the Cincinnati area. I found a great photographer. Check out these pics of my guys-Love how they turned out! Tree House Family Photos. She was great to work with and prices are very reasonable.
Thanks for coming by today. I'll see you back tomorrow for a sneak peek at some more NEW MFT!

Monday and a H{ippity} Hop!

I'm back this week. Sorry I didn't get to join the fun last week. I did peek at all your creations. Please know, that even if I don't leave a comment, I do look at all the H{ippity} Hop posts. I love them! I also grately appreciate all your kind words that you leave on my blog. Thanks!
The card I have for you today was made from all scraps sitting on my desk. I was cleaning up and found these odds and ends and this card came to be. The sentiment comes from Delightful Little Things. I love the fresh, comforting feel of the card. Stop by the {ippity} blog for the full line up of inspiration.
This week's challenge is a great one-CASE any {ippity} card from the gallery! How fun. Play along for a chance at a prize! I'm hoping to get mine done later this week. Enjoy the day!
