I'm starting things off with a pretty mermaid card. I said it during the VIP Blog hop....I wasn't so sure of this set at first, but after I started playing with it.....I fell in love. It is so fun to color, add glitter, build a scene. I used some fun summery colors and the new Dizzy Doily Duo (the larger one) and the solid bracket border to pretty up this fish tail beauty. I also accented it with some glitter and crystal effects to give it a "wet" look and feel.
I love being able to continue a sentiment on the inside of my card. I used the frame from You Move Me, to hold a few waves, a big die-cut heart (Hearts a Plenty) and a button with twine.
Changing gears....I've also got a peek at the new Clearly Sentimental about Sympathy. These are the hardest cards to make sometimes, well, most times. It's never fun to make them. In fact as I read through the sentiments in this set, I was tearing up. Losing someone is never easy.
I gathered up some pretty For The Record papers and a bunch of die-namics to make this card. The senitment is stamped on the new File Tab die-namic, there's a border of the solid bracket die, and a small dizzy doily duo die-namic,too. See that rolled rose??? It is a NEW size....to complete the series, it's a Large Rolled Rose and WOW! it's gorgeous.
Here's a close up of the rose. I cut it from some linen fabric I still have in my stash. A little fabric adhesive holds it together.
Here's a look at the new die-namics I used today.
Kim's blog has the final day of Teasers and the list of DT bloggers. I'll see you back here tonight for the Shop & Hop blog hop!
