October Release/ Lil' Inker Designs/ Color Throwdown 516

It's an exciting day around here. It's RELEASE Day for Lil' Inker Designs and there are some fun and fabulous stamps and dies just for you!

Oh, wait....before I dive in, you can find all the release details over on Laura's Blog. check it out! You can find the shopping link HERE....but you'll want to wait to see what the team has to share. It's soooo good, trust me.

Don't forget....you can WIN IT ALL!
All you have to do is leave comments along your way  today and every day, as you hop.  We'll pick one winner from a DT Member's blog.

My first card today features two of the new stamp sets,Hap-pie Thanksgiving Stamps and Blossoms and Banners Autumn Stamps. I combined them to make this sweet card using this week's Color Throwdown colors (I'm this week's host.....see the details for THAT challenge at the end of this post).

I started with some ink smooshing in the background and then stamped the pie and the banner and used my Copic markers to color them up. I used the coordinating die for for the banner, it's called Blossom and Banners Autumn dies and I fussy cut the pie image. I did use the  Pie Die Set to cut out the whipped cream topper and then hit it with some Stickles glitter. mmmmmmm. So good! here's a close up. I adore the sweet sentiment from Hap-pie Thanksgiving Stamps

Switching gears to a bit of Christmas, I used the gorgeous new Classic Christmas Stamps, the mistletoe image, and embossed it a few times with white embossing powder and then sponged on some Distress Oxide inks to make the image pop.

I used one of the new (AMAZING, I might add) new holiday word dies to keep the focus on the beautiful stamped image. I am a sucker for a giant word die, this one is called Happy Holidays Word Die and I cut it twice in two different colors to create a shadow effect. I love how it turned out. You need them all....just saying.

Here is the blog list for today!
Don't miss the awesomeness from the design team.

and here is a closer look at the new products I used today!

See you back here tomorrow for more new release fun!

oh, and here are the Color Throwdown Challenge Details.
Check out the blog HERE

It's time for a new Color Throwdown Challenge, and this week, it's me, Lisa Henke as your hostess! I have chosen the combo of Dark Teal, Rust and and Cream this week! I sure hope you all love this combo as much as I do! Isn't the inspiration photo just the sweetest?? Remember, you can always add in any other neutrals that you would like to use!

If you upload to a public gallery, please use the keywords CTD516 and please use #ctd516 and #colorthrowdown on socal media sites! Also, when linking up your card using the linky tool at the bottom of the post, please link to your specific post, and not a generic link to your blog - all of the "rules" are in the right sidebar, so check them out to be sure. It's also important to use no digital designs. Only digital images that are printed of and colored will be allowed. Totally digital designs will be removed from the link up.
