Season of Givings Blog Hop {LOTS of Blogcandy}

Happy New Year! 2013 is going to be a GREAT year!! I just know it. Why not start it off with a fun, crafty post. I feel pretty lucky to be a part of this fantastic event and it's ALL FOR YOU!!! Latisha Yoast is the brain child behind this "pay it forward" blog hop.

Here is to starting off the year 2013 in a fun way!

Today, I have an ALM card to share. She's one of the newest gals to join the MFT family and the stamp set is called, You're My Cup of Tea. I cut out some Rectangle Stax 1 & 2, one in Natural cs and the other with x-press Blending cs. I stamped her onto the x-press Blending cs layer and then colored her up with Copics. I gave pleats a try on her skirt. I still need some practice, but I'm pretty proud of myself. I've also added lots of shading and even gave her giant mug some polka dots (just dabbed on my colorless Blender).

The sketch is this month's MFT Guest Designer contest. Check out all the details HERE...but in a nut shell, play along, create something FANTASTIC using this sketch AND you could be our next Guest Designer and win $200 worth of product!

Here are a few detail shots of my the embellies I created.(All links are listed below!) LOVE the Layered Rose and Royal Leaves Die-namics. I topped it with a Natural Button (to match the Natural cs I used on my layers) and some hemp twine that I custom dyed (colored with an R15 Copic marker).

And of course, I tucked in a couple of Fishtail Flags (Original and the Layers) Stax Die-namics. They look great layered up like that.

All of my edges were touched with a good sponging of Tea Dye Ink.
