First up today are some book marks. How cute is this shape and you get two sizes with the Die-namics. Stack 'em or use them separately. Either way...you get a great way to save your spot in your book.
I have a Kindle and I love it, but I still get books from my friends, so I always need a book mark even with my technology. I made this one for me. I pulled out some new Studio Calico papers....and paired it up with the MFT kraft cs.
The hardest part for me was keeping my book marks flat and not all layered up with embellies. I did add some foam dimensionals behind my circle. The book, circle image was cut with the CIRCLE STAX 1 DIE-NAMCIS. It add some dimension without being too bulky to fit inside a book....plus this is the part that would stick out from the top of your book.
This sentiment is my favorite from the set. It's SO ME! I always fall asleep with my book in my hand.
Check out the bottom....I added a few layers of the new TRIPLE SCALLOP BORDER.
This next one is even simpler. It's for one of my little guys. He isn't so INTO reading, so I'm hoping a new book mark will motivate him a little. I love the rounded circle, border stamp and that fun book image. It stamps beautifully. I used my Fresh Grass Amuse inks for the sentiment. A great choice with the Kraft cs.
Moving on, I am also excited about the newest addition to the t-shirt line up. This month MFT gives you a Jersey. How cool is that?
Lots of letters and numbers and fun sayings to customize any Jersey your heart desires. I made this one for one of our soccer clubs (CSA-Cincinnati Soccer Alliance, is the club my boys play for).
Here are some ways to do up the Jersey.
and here is a close up of the Jersey I made. Just like the other tee in this series, there is a lot of great embossing detail.
I also used the RETRO SQUARES as an accent for the front of this card. This Die-namics is so easy to use. Here is how I layered it up.
Cut two strips in coordinating colors or papers.
Then just stack them up on top of each other.
My card uses Retro Sketch from last week. I love my STAR STAX, button, twine accent. It was just the finishing touch the outside of my card needed.
Speaking of finishing off my card...I did do up the inside to coordinate and say "thanks" to our coach.
Since I was going with a sports theme, I also tucked in one of the ALL STAR DIE-NAMICS (THE SOCCER BALL), another STAR STAX, and a few tickets. LOVE the new TICKET STRIP DIE-NAMICS.
I needed a little something to add to my second ticket, so I masked off the circus part of one of Lisa Johnson's tickets from CIRCUS SPECTACULAR and just stamped the argyle border.
Thanks for stopping by today. I hope you enjoy my projects for today. I know I really enjoyed creating what I did for today.
