Today we are celebrating the change of seasons.....FALL! As much as I love the sunshine and warmth of summer, I do really love fall. The color changes here in the Midwest are amazing and it's still pretty warm throughout October here in Cinci, but the crisp mornings and cool evenings call for jeans and layers. It really is a great time of year.
My card uses the gorgeous Fall Foliage stamp set. I embossed it with some rose gold embossing powder and then used some liquid water colors to add all the pretty colors.
My card uses the gorgeous Fall Foliage stamp set. I embossed it with some rose gold embossing powder and then used some liquid water colors to add all the pretty colors.
After the water colored leaf images were dried, I added a bit of splattering with some grey ink and stamped the sentiment from Fall Foliage in Stormy ink. I love that Jen is still adding stamps with this font. It makes me swoon! In the center I layered up a few of my favorite patterns from the Autumn Abundance 6x6 paper pad and tied on some yummy twine. I then mounted the finished piece onto a stone card stock card base.
When I first got started, I was playing around with the leaf images and water colors and decided to go in a different direction with this card. I didn't want these pretty pieces to go to waste, so I used the Fall Foliage Confetti Cuts to cut them out. I added them to a fun layered up tag from the new Bags and Tags Confetti Cuts. How cool is that striped tag layer? I love it! I added the leaves and a stamped greeting from Fall Foliage in Midnight ink and added it to one of the Mini Clear Boxes.
SO excited to show you more tomorrow, so come back!
Thanks for stopping by today!
Hugs, Lisa
