Lil' Inker Designs March Release

I have a fun filled week here on the blog. I know I have been a little quiet lately, but that's because I have been working on lots of new release goodies. Today kicks off the 3 day event with Lil' Inker Designs. I hope you have arrived from Jennifer Carter's Blog. If you haven't been following the hop, you'll want to start back at the LID Blog for all the release details. Plus, Laura has a load of gorgeous projects to share.

You'll also want to leave comments on the Design Team blogs each day. One lucky commenter from each day will win an LID Gift Certificate.

Let me start the festivities with two cards today. I am really in love with the new Dual Stitched Egg and Easter Greeting die. I can't get enough of that stitching detail and the word dies included is great, too. I also love that it works with 2 of the stamp sets releasing this month.  This first card uses the Easter Hodge Podge stamp set. I embossed the egg greeting stamp in white and then used my Zig Clean Color markers to give a quick pastel water color to the egg. Then I used the egg die to cut it out. I literally squealed when I popped the finished egg from the die.

I added more pretty to it with the amazing new floral set, Fresh Cut Flowers. I just adore these!!! They are so much fun to stamp with and the stamp index makes it so easy to work with. I then used the coordinating Fresh Cut Flowers Dies to cut them out. I layered this all up on a stitched curved border cut with the Border Builders die set.

While I had my markers out, I went ahead and embossed the egg from Egg & Flower Greeting in white again and this time I colored in each of the flower and leaf images. I thought this would be quite time consuming, but honestly it went really fast. I was surprised and very happy.  The markers are so  fabulous to work with. I stamped in the "spring" greeting right into the open space of the egg. There are a few different sentiment choices for this spot. I also stamped the "hello Spring" greeting from Easter Hodge Podge set. Those little sentiments are so cute!

I used the Dual Stitched Egg & Easter Greeting die again to cut out the colored egg and two other solid eggs. I layered them up on another Border Builder die and cut out that whole later with the Dual Stitched Rectangles. Here is a close up of the eggs.

How about a close look at the new products I used today.

Thanks for stopping by today. That's it for day one of the March LID Release. Go ahead and check out the Lil' Inker Design Store. You'll find all the new goodies loaded in. Come back tomorrow for more LID samples.
