I used MFT Kraft and Gumdrop Green cardstock to cut out the pieces with the Lollipop Treats Die-namics. Then I used the fun coordinating stamps from Lollipop Additions-Birthday to add fun, graphic patterns and words to the cut pieces. I stamped the bits and pieces in Blu Raspberry, Gumdrop Green, and Black Licorice Premium Dye inks. What a fun combo. Note to self....use this one again!

MFTWSC117-rock and roll birthday
Fun stuff! I am still having so much fun with these new stamps and Die-namics by Laina Lamb from My Favorite Things. I am so still having fun stamping the hounds tooth pattern from Spring Backgrounds onto Kraft card stock with Black Licorice Ink. I paired them all up to make a great card masculine card for my BIL's birthday.
I used this week's WSC sketch to make the card. I also used the Mix6 challenge,create splatter, from Splitcoast stampers the other week. It was a fun way to add some extra detail and a splash of color to my card.
I first cut a large circle using my Circle Stax 1 Die-namics. I then distressed the edges and add some Kraft ink them. Next I smeared a little orange and grey gelatos into a paint pallet and added a bit of water to make a pool of color. I used the stippling brush (Inlcuded in the gelato pack) to pick up the color and gentle taped the brush on the edge of my finger, creating the splatter effect. I did this with each of the two colors. After it was dry (used my heat gun to speed up the process) I went and stamped the words, "rock Star" in Black Licorice ink. This stamp is part of the Rock On stamp set. Love it!
I then die cut the guitar and flames, both from Accent it-Rock and Roll Die-namics. Before I added them to my circle element, I used Electric Red Ink to sponge the edges of my Tangy Orange cs.
In the background, you can also see I added a strip of Black Licorice Harlequin Border Die-namics.I grundged it up a bit with some Picket Fences Crackle Paint (man, I love this stuff!).
Following the sketch, I used the Sentiment Strips Die-namics to cut a double ended fishtail flags banner piece and stamped the birthday sentiment. This one is from the Playlist stamp set.
A few metal brads, one small and one large, and some stitching pull the whole card together.
Here is this week's sketch:
We encourage you all to play along, and to enter your card in the weekly draw for a $15 gift voucher to the MFT Boutique. Simply follow the sketch and create a card or other paper creation. You may use any stamps and supplies that you wish. Each week, a keyword is assigned to the sketch. All you need to do to enter, is upload your card to the gallery at SCS, and enter the given keyword in the keyword box, during the upload process. After the deadline, we randomly choose a winner from that week's entries and the winner will receive a $15 gift voucher. If the winning card uses MFT stamps, the participant will earn a $5 bonus, for a total of a $20 gift voucher!
Now head on over to the MFT Blog for the line up with today's sketch.

MFT March Creative Challenge {color}
I used kraft in all my combos today. First up, let's look at this favorite combo of mine:
I adore buttons. Can't hardly make a card without using at least one of them. Buttons might be my favorite Replenishement MFT carries. I used a Gumdrop Green button and added a little zig zag stitch, stamped in Gumdrop ink. I love this little element.
I can't wait to see what my fellow DT members have come up with for color combos. Come with me to the MFT blog to see who is playing along this month.
