MFT December New Product Tour-{documented memories}
Welcome to the December MY Favorite Things New Product Tour. It's been amazing week and I always like to take this moment to say thanks for hanging with me all week. I hope you've been inspired and have found at least a few things you'd like to pop into your shopping cart tonight. you can shop all theBRAND SPANKIN' NEW PRODUCTS HERE!
I have a long post tonight, but I think you'll like what you see. I am showing off the new Laina Lamb products-Captured Memories specifically, and I wanted to show you LOTS of ways you can use the stamp set and all the cute new Die-namics. It's all so fun to work with.
I got scrappy again. I am so thankful for this whole line of stamps and Die-namics. I've been catching up on all my scrapbooking and these have all helped me save a bunch of time while stilll adding great elements to all my pages.
First up are a few pictures from my garden. For the past three years I have had a plot in a local, community garden. It is not a crop share, I rent the plot and tend to it myself. I love that there is an 8ft. fence to keep most critters out (deer especially), there is an irrigation system so I don't have to worry about watering, and it is just up the street. But after 3 years, I've decided I don't like gardening enough (too much weeding!!!!) to keep it up. I'll stick to tomato plants in a pot on my back patio, next year.
I used a layout from December Page Maps and a few Instagram photos to make this page come to life. I accented the first tomato of the season with the new INSERT IT-INSTAFRAME DIE-NAMICS.
OMG!!! in love with this amazing die. I cut it fromKraft csand then used the DOCUMENT IT-GRAPH PAPER NOTES stamp set to add a grid pattern to the front. I stamped in with theNEW LEMON DROP INK. I am in love with this new ink MFT is carrying.....sooo happy! I also stamped a few extra words, the Documented is from the same GRAPH PAPER NOTES and the snap shot definition is from CAPTURED MEMORIES.
Before I cleaned myGraph Paper stamp, I inked it up two more times and stamped a few random spots of the grid. This is a great way to fill white space on a larger layout.
I prettied up the corners and some of the edges with the gorgeous new CHRISTMAS ROSE DIE-NAMICS. I layered them up with coordinating papers (October Afternoon-Farm Fresh from a few years ago. It's still one of my faves....surprised I had enough left for this).
I also found time to whip together a Project Life layout. I ordered some new pocket pages that favor the Instagram size photos (4x4 squares). These are the Design J. I love them because the other sized slots are 3x4 which are perfect fit for the INSERT IT Die-namcisand now the newINSTAFRAME. I have used both here on my layout.
I also added a strip ofSweet Tooth csstamped with the GRAPH PAPER NOTES stamp, again in Lemon DROP Yellow(I still hadn't cleaned my stamp....was making the most of my time!). It was the perfect place to add my journaling.
I cut out the picture of just the turtle with theINSTAFRAME DIE-NAMICS, and then finished the frame with some polka dotted paper. I added a fun edge with the BRACKET EDGE DUO DIE-NAMICS. I also found a great spot for fun Camera embellie. You have to get those ACCENT IT-CUTE CAMERAS. They are just that....TOO CUTE!!!
I always add a date to all my scrapbooking. I think it's great that there is an adorable stamp to use to accent that important detail of any page.
The final 3x4 slot was created withSweet Tooth card stockand the INSERT IT DIE-NAMICS. I added a new MINI DOUBLE DOT BORDER in the green polka dotted paper. I really wanted to use the "favorite photo" sentiment, because this picture of my sweet boys IS my favorite. It even made it onto our Christmas card this year. I can't tell you how excited they were when they caught this turtle. If you're on FB, there is even a video. it's soooo cute!
I was able to add in the blue polka dotted paper, with one of theLEAD THE WAYarrows. It really is a great way to draw your eye to the picture. AnotherLemon Drop Buttonand some Honeydew Twine.
I decided to add stitching to a few of my pocket inserts. I am always trying to keep my PL on the simple side. That's the point of it, for me, simple, quick way to capture my family's moments in life. But the page was missing something, so I went back and added the sewing.
If you are still with me, then hang on just a tad bit longer. I've showed a traditional scrapbook layout (12x12 size), and a project life layout, but now let me show you how you can also make cute cards (I know you've seen lots of them this whole week from the other DT members) with thisDOCUMENT IT-CAPTURED MOMENTS STAMP SET.
I made a birthday card for my neighbor and dear friend. While I still had out the Seen & Noted papers from my turtle layout, I pulled some of the red patterns out and created this Smile card.
I cut out anINSTAFRAME. I then stamped the smile sentiment fromCAPTURED MEMORIES in grey ink onto Kraft cs. That cute double edged flag from the stamp set is a perfect fit with the Sentiment Strips Die-namics. Stamp first, then die cut....works every time for a perfect handmade embellie.
I then pulled out Lisa Johnson's new sentiment set,ON THE LINE and added the "special day" words. That was stamped in MFT WILD CHERRY INK. Looks good, huh??? The card base is Sweet Toothand I added a layer ofSno Cone cs behind the red, as well.
