I am always amused by how my creative brain works, and what inspires me to create a particular card. Today's card is one of those...first I stumbled upon a new-to- me sketch challenge, called Retro Sketches. I liked it right away, and knew it would make for a quick and easy card. AND DARN IT!!! wouldn't you know, I missed the linky deadline. Oh, well!
Right away I knew it was a perfect reason to use the pretty Designer Labels 2 Stax Die-namics by MFT. I also had the pretty MME-Indie Girl papers sitting on my desk, so that lead to my color scheme.
The only thing left was deciding which stamp set to use. Last week I took care of my niece's fish. Which led me to the sweet PI-Goldfish Girl. I had not inked her up yet, so I decided to make a card for my Nieces. I know it's kind of backwards. I took care of their fish, they should be giving me a card, but receiving a card just because is ALWAYS a good idea. They are 8 and 11, they'll LOVE it!
The rectangle panel was a great spot for my sentiment and it was cut with the RECTANGLE 2 STAX DIE-NAMICS. I added a little horizontal slot to slide slide my ribbon through (MFT Orange Fizz grosgrain).
After I colored the PI, I cut her out and popped her up with some foam dimensionals. I added a bit of shading under her feet to give some extra dimension.
Super cute card!!!
