Hip Hop....with Unity and Webster's Pages

Welcome back!
I told you this was a busy week...
it's another 2 post day.

**please scroll down for my MFT Teaser post**

It's my week for the Unity Hip Hop
and we are still hopping along with Webster's Pages
and showing off the new Girl Land line of stamps and papers.

You might have seen this one on the Unity Blog yesterday,
but I saved it for today's post here on my blog.

I used the gorgeous Doily Decor' Background.
The green and purple color combo is a bit unexpected,
but I like it.
The papers are from the Girl Land line
and the beautiful green fabric roses are too.

That happy birthday stamp is one of the previous SOTW images.

I embellished this card with some stitching and a few fishtail banners (MFT Die-namics).
It's all tied up with some pretty twine.

There are PRIZES too.
Head on over to the Unity blog to visit the rest of the design team creations and leave a comment for a prize. Then hop on over to Webster’s Pages when you are done.

Robyn is next on this hop!

Two fabulous sets debuting today:  Inspired by Travel; Fred Bear and the Pinwheel.  I have a card done up with both. I think you're going to like both of these sets.

I sure do. I LOVE this new travel set.  The images are fantastic...I couldn't decide which one I wanted to use, so I let the designer paper I chose do the dictating. LOL! I loved the world map on this paper by October Afternoon, and it had some ships on it, so I went with the gorgeous ship.  As usual, and true to the Inspired By line of stamps....they are so easy to color up if you choose to.  The guess work is taken out, by the shading already there in the image.

I used a few of the newest Die-namics with this one. I stamped the ship image onto x-press blending cs and then cut it out with the SQUARE 1 STAX , the grey mat behind it was cut with the next largest square from the SQUARE 2 STAX DIE-NAMICS.

Check out the DESIGNER LABEL 2 STAX DIE-NAMICS.  Serious Swooning going on here!  You can also see the cool NOTCHED BORDER.  I told you yesterday it's great on masculine cards. The ribbon is more of the Lemon Drop MFT Grosgrain

I used more of the DESIGNER LABEL 2 STAX on the inside and stamped another sentiment from the set, along with a partial image of the ship. The card base on this one is Fossil cs.

Next up is my cutie patottie FRED BEAR card.  There isn't anything this bear can't do, and I love him for that! lol! He always makes me smile and this month is NO DIFFERENT. I did a card and a coordinating tag with this one.

For my card I cut out Pinwheel Fred with a RECTANGLE STAX 1 DIE-NAMICS on x-press blending cs.  He's colored up with copics and then I pieced up his pinwheel. I did tuck in the new SQUARE STAX 1 & 2 (the piece of orange wood grain paper).  A few tilted panels play up the playfulness of this card.

It's almost hidden, but there is a strip of the NOTCHED BORDER DIE-NAMICS stitched on to that floral panel. It's all tied up with some more pretty MFT Grosgrain-orange fizz.

I also knew I wanted to use the giant, and oh-so-fun PINWHEEL DIE-NAMICS....so what better way than to add it to a fabulous new TRADITIONAL TAG STAX DIE-NAMICS.

I seriously LOOOVE these dies.  I even added a smalled tag as a re-enforcement to the top of my tag (saw Inge do this on yesterday's post and I loved it! so I had to try it!).  I added more of that same ribbon and embellished with a button and twine.

I added a few more details to the tag by stamping Fred  in Soft Suede ink, stitching on more of the NOTCHED BORDER DIE-NAMICS,  and then adding the sentiment to the smaller banner from FIRST PLACE AWARD RIBBON (betcha thought I forgot about that Die-namics??? NOPE! ).

Kim's Blog has the DT line up for today's Teasers! Hop on over there for the full set reveal and all the details.

Here is another look at the Die-namics I used on today's cards.

MFTWSC74-Pure Sunshine

**please scroll down for my Unity-Webster's Pages Post
AND
for my MFT TEASER Post***

It's a busy Wednesday around here....lots of stamping going on and it's the last day of school for my kids. I decided to kick off the summer with a bright, and sunny card. It's time for WSC with MFT.  Are you playing?? I hope so....you have a chance to win an MFT Voucher, just for making a card with this week's sketch.

Here's what I made. I used the adorable PI-Make a Splash. Isn't her swim suit just the cutest?? The papers are from MME-Indie Girl. I usually jump on all the MME papers, right away, but this time I waited....trying to be good. I couldn't resist this pack any longer. The patterns and colors kept catching my eye.
I used the CIRCLE STAX 1& 2  in the background and then dressed up the bottom layer with a strip of Calypso Coral cut with the SOLID BRACKET BORDER.  I added some stitching and the lovely MFT Grosgrain ribbon in Lemon Drop. If you haven't tried this ribbon, you need to...it really ties beautifully.

I used one of the sentiments from the set on the inside of the card, along with another giant CIRCLE STAX 2.  The PI was stamped in Calypso Coral and then I added a sweet, layered sun with the SUNSHINE DIE-NAMICS.

Here is this week's SKETCH!

Kim's Blog has the line up for today's WSC samples from the participating DT members. Hop on over there and don't forget...Teasers Start today!

Let's kick thing off with this month's WTG stamp set.  I love how each month is always different and this month, I think you are really going to like.  You get a Who's That Girl and a Who's That Guy image....all in one set. It's called: Godspeed.

Here is what I did with it. I LOVE the big bold, sentiment, I KNEW I HAD to use that on my card, so I focused on the soldier image, to go along with it.   I stamped him on x-press blending cs and colored him up with Copics. I used some Echo Park-Take Note dp, which was also one of my inspiration pieces.  I think those numbers and grid, resemble postage stamps.
I played up that, by adding in the postage die-namic from FIRST CLASS FRIEND. Of course the DOG TAG DIE-NAMICS was the perfect place to add a sub-title.

There is lots of Die-namics layering on this card....and I squeezed in as many new Die-namics as I could.  The next, basic shape being added to the Stax family is SQUARES 1 & 2.  I used both sizes here. Awesome, isn't it??? It cuts and embosses a border, just like the other Stax Die-namics.

I accented my sentiment square with a strip of the new NOTCHED BORDER.  Love this....it's like a masculine scallop to me, I know it will be used LOTS with all my manly cards. The heart from NOTCHED TAG was a perfect fit to nestle into the sentiment.

I saved the best for last.....OMG!!!! soooo super excited to also have TRADITIONAL TAG STAX, also join the line up.  I have been a fan of tags for a LOOOONG time, and this is the perfect basic, MUST HAVE tag.

I know you'll love all the samples from today.  There's a cute, WTG image that goes along with this set...wait until you see it.

Kim's Blog has the DT line up for today's Teasers! Hop on over there for the full set reveal and all the details.

Below is the list of Die-namics I used....these are going to be released on June 5.
