So glad you are joining me for the My Favorite Things mid-month VIP New Product tour. The VIP collection is a LIMITED QUANTITY product that gives you the opportunity to purchase upcoming stamp sets and a new Die-namics die TWO WEEKS early.
I know you love these PI cuties.... I used both of these new girls on two different cards today. I also put the FREE MINI set-Sweet Sarari Sentiments to good use.
I can't get over how cute this Freckles PI is....ACK!!! Those pigtails (I used to wear pigtails all the time when I was a little girl. Still do sometimes ;) ). I knew these Simple Stories-FabUlous papers were a great fit with her.
My layout is roughly based on last week's ribbon Carousel sketch. I added one of the amazing, new LARGE ROYAL ROSES as an embellie. I cut it in burlap....swoon!
Look how wonderful those ROYAL LEAVES are with that flower....it's a match made in heaven! I also really wanted to add a bow, so I tucked in a button tied up with some twine.
The sentiment is from the FREE mini set. Of course , that's why I also used buttons on my card. I used the new PINKING EDGE DIE-NAMICS to add some interest and help draw your eye to the sentiment.
How about a matching inside??? I tied in the PINKING EDGE again, and this time added another sentiment from the actual PI-FRECKLES SET. This time I stamped it onto a FISHTAIL FLAG STAX DIE-NAMICS.
This next PI, Giraffe Girl, is JUST AS CUTE!!! Giraffes are one of my FAVE animals at the zoo (it's a tie with the Polar Bears!). They are gorgeous and I could watch them for hours. I love their beautiful patterned fur and their long necks. I decided on a skinnier card for this one, it's 3.75 inches wide.
She is stamped on x-press blending cardstock and then colored with copics. I decided to give her a pretty pieced hair flower from the Authentique-Blissful paper pack. I am having fun with the browns and yellows with the touch of coral.
I played up the coral color, by die cutting a FLOWER BORDER Berry Sorbet cs. I had some new yellow rhinestones that fit perfectly in each of the flower centers. I used some brown Hemp Twine and softened the look of it with some coral organza ribbon- a touch of nature with a hint of pretty!
Here is the inside. I used the same papers-more long skinny strips, another FLOWER BORDER, and a second sentiment (Both sentiments on this card come from the FREE MINI set included in this month's VIP COLLECTION). It's all accented with some scattered rhinestones.
