Here's 2 of the 3 cards I did today. You'll see my 3rd one on Monday, as I decided to work ahead on some DT obligations.....it's my ippity challenge card for Monday!
Here's the card from the sketch and color combo I picked.
I used the sketch from pg.89 of the SU catty and the color combo from that same page. I need a good solid boy card for a birthday this weekend and used my MFT stamps to make this fun card.
MFT Products used:
Say What stamp and die
Sassy & Sweet stamp set
and on the inside I added more of that leopard print with the Sweet Stack Lables die. The HB sentiment is from the Loveosaurs set.
colors I used are: night of navy, cherry cobbler, baja breeze, basic grey and some crumbcake.
Here's the inspiration photo for our last challenge.
Gotta love a pretty peacock and it was perfect for putting my glimmer mists into action. I cut some x-press blending cs into a circle then sprayed it with two different shades of glimmer mist. After it was dry (sped up with my heat gun), I stamped the cage and bird, from Inspired by Caged Bird stamp set, in momento black ink. My two required elements were dry embossing and circles. It might be hard to see, but my smaller circles were dry embossed with some embossing folders.
See my scallopy border on the left of the giant circle??? I used the dizzy border die-namic (currently out of stock...check back soon to order it) to create that. Simply cut the border strip in half, then snip it every so often, adhering it to the backside of the circle, lining up the edges and leaving just a little bit peeking out. It's all distressed with some Walnut Stain ink. The beautiful ribbon is a gift from Eva....she made this ribbon and I just LOVE the colors. Papers are Crate Paper, Portrait collection.
OMG, Lisa these are awesome! It's so fun to see how different we think and what you came up with. Our first one isn't too far off considering we used the same sketch and colors. But your second one is AMAZING!!! WOW, I LOVE it and how you used the inspiration piece!! Mine is COMPLETELY different- not sophisticated and beautiful like this but playful and young. Cool! I'll hopefully get my posted for tomorrow.
ReplyDeleteThese are beautiful. Now this sounds like so much fun. Great stamping.
