MFT Jan. Shop & Hop!

It sure has been a fabulous week! I loooove release week! All the excitement, new stamps, new die-namics, and FABULOUS inspiration from the DT! Now it's your turn to get these HOT new products in your hands. You can find all the Brand Spankin' New products right HERE! Be sure to SHOP & HOP with us tonight.

Hopefully you just came from Barbara's blog, if not then make sure you hop on back to Kim's blog so you don't miss out on any fabulous projects along the way.
Tonight I saved this fun wall haning to share with you and a little extra something, too.
I used the new Flapper Doodle set-I Love Us. This project started with the ribbon. Do you recognize it? If you shop at Ann Taylor Loft, you might (it's my FAVE store). As soon as I got the shopping bag last month with these ribbon handles, I knew I HAD to re-purpose it. Then I saw this set and right away it all came together in my head.
I altered 2 chipboard coaster-covered them with dp and some Modge Podge. I stamped the Flapper Doodles on X-press Blending cs, colored them in with Copics and added the sweet little hearts and sentiment (included in the set).
The hardest part was finding a picture of Tim and I. Sad, I know. We've been married 10 yrs. I take tons and tons of pictures, but I don't have very many of DH and I (or they aren't printed yet!). So, I went to our wedding pics and pulled one of those out to use. I also used some felt to cut more of those gorgeous mini rolled roses.
Did you put THOSE in your cart??? They were a perfect accent to my decor piece.

I guess I was in a lovey mood as I created my projects this month, cuz I've got one more for my sweet DH! I know, I know, might seem kind of silly to see a picture frame made for a doctor, right???? Remember earlier today when I said I love a good play-on-words? Yep, that's what this frame is. Tim is an ER physician, so I giggled when I read this sentiment. He's one of the best things to happen to me, and I thought of us when I saw this set. I did make my MIL take a cute picture of the two of us on Christmas, so that will go in this frame once I get it from her.

I covered a $1 frame from Micheal's with some Girl's Paperie (I'm almost out of that Tinsel & Twigg dp), fossil cs and more Modge Podge. MFT die-namics added to this frame are the Framed Greeting Die, Hearts a Plenty, and small scallop border. A little extra distressing (it helps hide any imperfections) and a button and twine finish it off!

Thanks for hopping by. Make sure you leave comments along the way. There is secret blog candy hidden on one of the DT's blogs. Melody is next up on the Hop!
