The Simple Life

Here's a fun little {ippity} card I made a few weeks back. I had fun with some red stitching and created a fun grassy pasture for my cow. I don't know if you can tell, but I snipped away at the top of the olive cs to create the grass, made some rolling hills and stitched along the grass line. Tied it all up with my favorite Perfect Plaid ribbon and a red button.
We've been living a lazy life the last few days and I'm loving it! I don't know what I'm going to do next week when we have to be up and dressed by 7:30 am!

This set is called Simply Home and you can order it HERE!

More MFT-Wed. Stamp Club Style

oooooo, did you see the template Kim made up (and it's a FREE download) for last week's Wednesday Stamp Club? It is just the cutest little mushroom template or butterfly wing (it's a 2-fer, too. How cool is that?)!!!! I just had to make a little Toadstool card for the challenge. I thought the new Farm Fresh dp by October Afternoon and the cute little froggies from Rainy Day Friends and Cuddle Up Carter were perfect for my card. I then decided that the sentiment from Grow Love, Plant a tree and a little buttony-ribbon tab would finish it off. I really love this. How could you not?!!! I even did up the inside so a little love note could be written. Shape cards are all the rage. If you haven't made one ever, then challenge yourself to make one. There are lots of templates out there. here's the link the Kim's. Stop by the MFT forum to see what this week's Wed. Stamp Club challenge will be. It's a fun club and anyone can join! I'm busy stamping for the big MFT release (I'm the Jan. Guest Designer!) and getting ready for my big Blog Candy giveaway! Keep stopping by! hugs, Lisa

How about a little color challenge?

it's Tuesday and that means it's color challenge day over at SCS. I haven't worked this week's challenge, but thought I'd share what I did for last week's-real red, crushed curry, and Sahara Sand. MFT was one of the sponsors, so I couldn't help myself and used the sweet little Polar Love set.

Keeping it short today, it's cold and snowy outside, the boys are home, Tim is home, and we are just hanging out. I'm thinking about putting my holiday decorations away. I know, I know, it seems early, but Joshua's birthday is next week and I like to have them put away before his day. Don't know why, just seems right. Hugs, Lisa

Ippity Hippity Hop!

Happy Monday! Are you all recovered from the Christmas holiday? Did you waste time standing in line to exchange or return something(s), like I did yesterday? Well, hopefully it's all good and you found some time to stamp and create this weekend, if not we have another {ippity} challenge to help motivate you!!! And if you play along and use {ippity} stamps you may even win a prize.
This week, Kelly is up with the challenge-"resolve to try something new". I don't know about you, but this one had my head spinning. I could think of a million things I would like to try, but time was a factor for me this weekend as I squeezed in some stamping time. I do have a resolution to do a mini album. I've been so inspired by Maren's sweet little books and our own, {ippity} DT extordaire, Eryn! So one day soon, I'm going to whip one of those up!
For today, I resolved to use up some of my stash (this is an ongoing resolution of mine, how about you? lol!) I also decided to give some REAL glitter a whirl!!!! I loooove the look of glitter, but NEVER or RARELY bring it out. I go for the easy stuff-stickles or iridescent ice embossing powder-no mess, no fuss. For my card today I used the sweet, all-purpose set, Because of You!

I first stamped the love word block in my background in Saraha Sand. I then covered a chipboard scalloped frame with some MME dp and stamped the sentiment in the center of it. I had yet to try the sticky tape and glitter trick, so I did that to create my bright, and shiny, colorful strips. Then I decided to add a few glittery hearts, since I had the glitter mess already out! I then finished it off with a button and twine!

From my stash I used-chipboard frame, dp that I've had for over 6 months and went untouched, and glitter that I'd never opened. I think I did pretty good. Now off you go! Stop by the {ippity} Blog for full details of the challenge and the full list of hoppers! and join us in the forum on SCS for chit chat and fun! Hugs, Lisa

True to my Word!

Here I am, sticking to my word. I created another gift card holder for this week's Ippity Challenge. You still have time to play, so join the fun. Use {ippity} stamps to create a gift card holder and keyword IHHC3 when uploading to SCS and you may the lucky prize winner! The one I had on my blog Monday was really created for last week's challenge, create handmade background paper using {ippity} stamps, so I needed to create a whole new project for this challenge. I used another template from the PTI and Lauren Meader, My Timeless Templates-Cash or Charge (there are 3 included for 1 price). This one is quick and easy (all 3 are really easy to use) and I made a bunch of these for the Holidays. This one I made for my MIL. Today is her birthday, so I used a combo of stamps for the tag-Life's Little Moments (lovin' that HB stamp)and Because of You. It's super simple, I know, but it still is a fun way to give a gift card. If you need or want these stamps you can ORDER HERE!

I'll be back Monday with another {ippity} challenge for the blog hop. The boys are enjoying all their new goodies, Tim is working 12 hr. days today and tomorrow, so I see LOTS of stamping time for my weekend! Hugs, Lisa

A Star, A Star, Way up in the Sky.....

Merry Christmas Eve! I hope you are finding yourself surrounded by loved ones this holiday season. Since you are here, you must have a little bit of time to yourself, which is always good, even during a busy holiday. I always sneek away for a little computer fix, hehehe! Today I bring you another fabulous Limelight Papercrafts sketch and product focus. This week we are focused on stars ... You can use star patterns, stamped stars, punched stars, anything... You can make a movie star if you want! LOL! and here is our sketch. And here is my card, chuck full of stars, from stamps to pattern paper.
I used this great paper by October Afternoon, Report Card and paired it with the Stylin' Stars stamps by Unity. The sentiment is from the Sporty Billy set (which I mounted on EZ mount-I find it so much easier to use those bare rubber sets once they are mounted on some cling mount!) and the buttons are from the June Bug collection by Basic Grey. Come play along, there's always a prize involved! Here are the deets:
**Use the sketch above and incorporate Stars
**Key word for SCS upload is LLPC037*Post a comment with a link to your card to Mandy's blog and the challenge post by Sunday, Dec. 27at midnight (or before winner is drawn Monday a.m.)

A little Gifty!

I'm liking the 3-D items. I've made more in the last few months than in all my crafting years. Taking plain tins, boxes, and bags and dressing them up with a simple (or not-so-simple) tag. I made a few of these with different stamps a few weeks ago and haven't shared them yet. Here's one from the first week of MFT Wednesday Stamp Club. Cool thing about this club, anyone can play and Kim is making it fun and easy with free downloads and lots of fabulous ideas. I used sweet little fairy girl from the Pure Innocence line. Paper is Butterfields by Memory Box (you can get it with the Oct. Kit which also includes a sweet owl mini set, thinking of hoo, and a few other goodies). Here I dressed up a simple kraft coffee bag with this little tag cut with my Labels 2 nestie! It's that simple. Stop by the MFT forum today to see what the new Wed. Stamp Club challenge is. Hugs, Lisa
p.s. I sooooo apologize for having to turn on the word verification. I started getting some spammers and it makes me mad. I hate this function, but I have no other choice. Don't hate me!

Candy Girl!

good morning! a few days and counting till the Big man comes down the chimney. The boys can't wait. They were just adorable yesterday as we took them to the mall to see Santa. They all gave the cutest smiles for our picture with Santa and they were eager to talk to him. Ryan (he's our Kindergartner) even wrote a list and gave it to him, that's a first for us. I think it's the first year we didn't have any anxiety about the visit.
Here's a little sweet Pure Innocence heart stripes girl, made into a sweet little candy striped girl! The sketch is from last week's Card Patterns#45. The yummy papers are by October Afternoon, Very Merry! Today's a baking day, after we all go bowling! Hugs, Lisa

H{ippity} HOp!

I've scheduled this post since we were gone all weekend and before I found out the super exciting news!!!! Thanks to you all for the wonderfully warm welcome and all the fabulous words of congrats. I tell ya, I must have been feeling the vibe, cuz our challenge this week is to create a gift card. Now, I did this one for last week's challenge, but since all this excitment was last minute and I haven't been home to make something new, I'm using it for BOTH challenges! I do have two more gift cards to make, so I'll get those done and share them later today or tomorrow!

But I'm happy to say I've got some ippity goodies to share with you and maybe just in time for a last minute holiday gift giving idea. The ippity challenge this past week was to create some background paper using non-background stamps. I used the oh-so cool set, Life's Little Moments (it's not just for scrapbooking!!!!) and one of PTI's, My Timeless Templates (Cash or Charge) to make this fun gift card holder for my dear, neighbor. It was her birthday last week and I actually remembered it.
So for the little gift card holder, I stamped the Happy Birthday block repeatedly in brown ink and then filled in the spaces with a lighter, melon colored ink and the heart stamp. I think it turned out super cute and she loved it! She was so excited about the shape of the card, she didn't realize there was actually a gift card inside, lol! Here's a close up of the background I created.

Need some {ippity}? Get your's here!!!! Shop Now!

See the full list of H{ippity} Hoppers on the {ippity} blog! I know it's a busy week with the holidays and all, but if you have time, come play along with the fun {ippity} challenges! Hugs, Lisa

I'm Over the Moon Excited!!!

Soooo I was only going to make this a two post Friday, BUT had to come back and let you all know my exciting news. Did you see? The new DT members were announced on the {ippity} blog. It was ME and the oh-so-talented Michelle Woerner!!! WoooHoooo!!!! I can't wait to continue to share my love of paper crafting and all things {ippity} with this fabulous DT and all of you!!!!! Here's a little {ippity} eye-candy I've been dying to show you. It's one of the projects I submitted for the DT call. It uses our fave Holiday set, Kissamas & Misteltoeand cutie-pie alphabet kit, Alphabetically Adorable. You can get them both here!

Aren't these colors so fun? We took a cute serious picture of the boys for our holiday card this year and after we were done with the serious ones, we told them we could take a silly one. I really wanted to use this for our picture, cuz it's SO them! But my oldest was a bit embarrassed by his tongue. So we agreed on the serious shot for the cards and I got to scrap this one! Have a FABulous weekend! I know I will! Hugs, Lisa

Stitching, Tots, and Bellariffic Friday!

2nd post of the day, scroll down for the Stamp Somthing challenge.

It's the last of the Bellariffic Friday challenges for the year. I couldn't pass it up. Emily told us to do some stitching-faux or real. If you know me at all, stitching is no challenge for me. I looooove my machine. Tim got it for me 2 years ago for Christmas and once I got comfortable with it, there was no stopping me. lol! That's not to say I don't fight with it. There have been many times I've wanted to throw it out the window, but I do love it and have learned when the frustration sets in, I just need to walk away. I have a janome sew mini and I pride myself on the fact that I can sew on paper, but I have no clue when it comes to fabric! Anyway, you're here for the card and I've got a cutie for you. This here is the adorable little Turtle Tot line of stamps at STamping Bella. I used Mercy's awesome sketch from this week (except I used a circle instead. for some reason I just can't make ovals work very often) and some of the gorgeous Nook & Pantry paper by Basic Grey. Aside from the turtle, wanna know what was really my inspiration for this card? My ribbon!!! I've been trying to use some of this ribbon for over a week now and finally put it to use on Tuesday! LOVE it!!!! I used a straight stitch all the way around the card and added a zig zag up the left panel. Thanks for stopping by! See you all on Monday!!! We are starting the Christmas celebrations this weekend in MI. The boys are just so excited they can hardly stand it. Hugs,Lisa

Going Out with a Bang!

This is my last challenge card as a DT member with the Stamp Something blog. It's bitter sweet, and I have a huge thank-you to extend to all my fellow DT members and to the fabulous coordinators, Erin and Denise. This was my first DT position and I am so grateful they gave me this opportunity. I feel like I have bettered my best over the year and have really grown as a stamper. I have been introduced to a lot of fabulous companies out there in this huge paper crafting industry, and I have become much more comfortable with digi images, all thanks to this fun challenge blog. I'm so excited for whatever comes next for me in this hobby/obsession/love of mine. Onward and Upwards!!!!

The challenge with Stamp Something this week is actually a two week challenge. It's your last chance to get in your Holiday themed projects/cards completed. Our sponsor is Digital Ink-co. We were fortunate enough to get to work with some images. Here's my card. It actually used the sketch from this week's SCS challenge. Paper is from October Afternoon, Good Cheer! I colored the sweet little snow people with Copics and added my new fave glitter, Tinsel Glitter, for the snow accent. Be sure to check out what the rest of the DT did for this challenge and link up your creations on the Stamp Something blog. Oh, and the new DT list is up. Congrats to the new team! They'll be up come the first of the year!
Hugs, Lisa

A great sketch and some new papers!

I couldn't resist making two cards with this weeks CAS sketch from the Clean and Simple blog. This is sketch 72!!! I told you the other day, maybe it was yesterday that I had some new October Afternoon papers coming to me. I'm in love!!!!! Two of the lines that Mandy just got in are Christmas/Holiday papers-Very Merry and restock of Good Cheer. Don't you fret!! There are still plenty of reasons to get them now (even though Christmas is only 8 days away).

1) well, winter is here for at least another 3 months, plenty of time to use the snowflakes and such.
2) you can scrapbook Holiday and winter pages anytime of year
3) There are patterns in the paper packs that have nothing to do with Holiday times or winter-they're just too cute not to use. Let me show you.

My first card uses 3 different designs from the Very Merry line. I also added some of these fun Basic Grey pearls and another sentiment from the Unity Nov. Store kit of the month, believe in fairy tales. It's nice, non-traditional-lovey-kind of card. And just in case someone wants to know, the cute lacey trim I got from PaperManiac! I got some fun ribbons and lace from there the other week.
Then I did this card with a little incentive to pull out some more felt this week. The Cards Blog called for a challenge to see what you could do with felt or fabric (fabric is still on my must-get some-in-my-stock list). I used it as a strip and accented it with some red stitching. I used one of the snowflake designs from Very Merry and made a fun, girly card. The sentiment is from PTI, Signature Sentiments by Dawn McVey. I think the felt helps give this card a nice warm feel with the snowflake theme. See my popped up ones? I added subtle detail by punching out a few extra snowflakes with a 1/4 and 1/2 circle punch.

Soooooo, there you have it-Holiday paper that's not just for Christmas. Go get you some!!! I'll be back to tomorrow with a two-fer on Friday!!! Hugs, Lisa

CAS45-embrace the curves

It was a way to use it challenge for the CAS thread this week-use curves on your card. I'm really liking the look of the fun rolling hills on cards. I've done quite a few over the past few months, and there are lots of different ways to achieve the look. I decided to keep it simple and justcut mine free hand. I always do at least two layers to help give dimension. I also like to sponge some ink on the edges. The olive dp is Nutmeg by Cosmo Cricket and those cute little owls are from the Unity November Store Kit of the Month....believe in fairy tales. You can still get those stamps (I'm still working my way through all the images-so many stamps, too little time. LOL!) and those fun papers at Limelight Papercrafts. Mandy also got in some new October Afternoon goodies (mine should be here today, so I get to show them off later this week). Super easy card, and pretty straight forward. It is CAS afterall!

MFT Wednesday Stamp Club

I know, I know, sorry if I paniced you. It is only Tuesday, but did you know MFT has a fun new challenge running, that start on Wednesday? It's called, Wednesday Stamp Club. I never posted my project from the first round (last Wednesday was the second week of challenges), but I didn't want you to miss out on the fun. Great ideas for last minute, quick gift giving.

This week our challenge is to create gifts in a jar. Now this is only a starting point, you can use the challenge as your inspiration and run with it. While I loved the cookie in a jar gift Kim posted (she even included fun recipe downloads-check it out) I just didn't have the time. I did however have a fresh new bag of Starbuck's Christmas Blend coffee beans waiting to be ground up and enjoyed. And I had a few tea tins half dressed (paper already adhered to them) from last year. I put the two together and came up with this fun coffee tin that I am giving to the boy's bus drivers this year. Here's a picture of the top of the tin. Do you see those fun letters? They are from the new alphabet set, Alphadots (new from the December release). I made them a bit smaller by punching them out with a 1/2 inch cirlce punch. I also used an oldie but goodie, Hot Stuff. I just LOVE those coffee cups! You still have time to play. The challenge is open till midnight tonight. Use keyword: MFTWSC120909 or link it up on Kim's blog. Have a good day! Hugs, Lisa

It's a Monday Ippity Blog Hop!

Doesn't the name {ippity} just make you smile? It is the perfect name for the new line of stamps by the Unity Stamp Co. and I'm so happy to be a part of this wonderful company!!!
Monday's are going to be an ippity blog hop day, so come follow me and see all the wonderful Ippity creations.
I made this on Friday and combined 3 challenges to pull this one together. I absolutely LOVE how this turned out. Last week's color challenge on SCS was to use Razzleberry, Artichoke, and barely bananna. I also fell in love with the Mojo Monday sketch last week, I adore working with circles so I couldn't pass this up. And did you know {ippity} has a challenge each week? Last week you were to make a card that had snowflakes or snow somewhere on it. Check into the Ippity blog or forum on SCS to see what this week's challenge is. There is a prize up for grabs! So here's my card. The razzleberry designer paper I used is pleated and topped off with a lemon tart stitched ribbon and a Memory Makers stick pin. I used the snowflake embossing folder to add snowflakes to two of my circles and finished them off with a bit of tinsel glitter (man I {heart} this stuff)! I stamped the snowflakes and sentiment from Kissamas & Mistletoe.

Want this stamp set or any of the other fabulous Ippity stamps? Shop here or contact me for details! I'm still offering up a FREE $15 set with a $50 purchase!

Winter Wonderland Fun

The snow fell for the first time yesterday, and this past MOnday we had lots of ice. I'd say Winter is officially here in the Midwest, brrrrrrrrr! I have a few weeks left with the Stamp Something challenge blog and I'm starting to get misty eyed. The past year has flown by and my time has come to move on. I've had the best time and thank Erin and Denise for this opportunity and their friendship. There will be a whole new DT come the New Year. Did you apply? Today is the last day to get your submissions in.
The theme this week is Winter Wonderland! We were generously given some images by our fabulous sponsor, In Style stamps. I just love this little snowbunny! If I skied, this is how I'd like to look on the slopes, lol. Here name is Sarah. You can find her here.

I had to use more of my Jollly by Golly papers and dug into my stash to find a few of these felt snowflakes in my drawer. The sentiment is from my MFT set, Baby it's Cold Outside. I also added some Martha Stewart tinsel glitter to make snow, you can see a little bit of the shimmer in this picture.

Come play along for a fabulous prize and be sure to see what the rest of the DT did with their Winter Wonderland cards. I'm keeping it on the down low this weekend, finishing up some projects along with holiday shopping and wrapping. See you back here on Monday! Hugs, Lisa

Glitter and Limelight!!!!

It's Limelight Papercraft challenge time. This week we have a fabulous circle card for you to work with and our product focus is GLITTER!!!! As always, come play along, have some fun and maybe even win a prize! Here's the sketch. And here is my card. With Christmas right around the corner I thought an ornament card would be perfect! I drew it freehand and with the help of my circle collulzle to get the circle part just right. I left a little notch at the top of my circle so I could have a hinge and a place to tie my pretty white satin ribbon. Paper is from Jolly by Golly, the brad is this one by Basic Grey and the sentiment is from the Unity Sept. Store KOTM. And the glitter accent on the card was done with stickles (I prefer the easy way out, when it comes to glitter-no mess here!). Limelight has lots of choices for your glitter needs. Check it out.
Here's what you need to play along:
**Use the sketch above and incorporate Glitter
**Key word for SCS upload is LLPC036
**Post a comment with a link to your card to Mandy's blog and the challenge post by Sunday, Dec. 13, at midnight (or before winner is drawn Monday a.m.)
**PRIZE ~ One lucky winner will receive a container of Stampendous Apple Red glitter AND a container of Moonstone Sparkle Fibers!!
AND, Enter NOEL at checkout to receive 20% off of your entire order! Mandy's just the best!
Now be sure to stop and see what the other six chicks are up to in the Limelight!

see you back here tomorrow! Hugs, Lisa

Brown and Red-CAS

That was the CAS challenge this week on SCS-make a CAS card with browns and reds. Did you see the new DT was announced too. I was so excited by the choices and know each of the girls will do a fabulous job this winter term. I am in a Valentine mood lately. Yep, always a holiday head aren't we in this crafty world! While it's not a traditional Valentine card, it does have a giant cut out heart-yeah me, I used my Movers and Shapers die! The brown is soft suede, and the red polka dotted paper is Jillibean soup. I love the sentiment, I used a marker to ink up parts of the verse so I could make it fit in the heart. It's an {ippity} stamp from the Devoted set.

The thing with the Movers and Shapers is you are forced to finish the inside of the card, so I did. It's always a nice touch. I added the rest of the verse along the bottom.
Thanks for coming by today. Come back to tomorrow for a Limelight sketch and product challenge. AND coming soon......I will have my first Blog Candy give away!!!! I'm just waiting for some goodies to come in, so I can share the wealth (I won a huge prize from Stamping Bella and want to pay it forward). My followers are up over a 100 and I think that is pretty FABulous. I'm so grateful for all of my readers and friends! Hugs, Lisa

Here's some Pie!

A pretty simple card with an adorable flopsy image, Sweetie Pie. I stamped him on kraft and colored with Copics. His hat was stamped on white cs, cut out and popped up for a real-like fit! I was feeling like cherry pie, so I paired him up with some October Afternoon, cherry hill paper. The green is Kiwi, ahhhhh, how I miss this color. I normally don't stock up on SU In Color papers, but I'm so glad I got an extra pack of this color last June. It's one of my faves! Hugs, Lisa

Six Chicks Project Parade!!!

Good Morning, Happy Sunday and Happy December 6!!!! It's that time of month again when the Limelight DT get's to dazzle you with our monthly projects. This month our theme is anything to do with Calenders. Right away I knew what I wanted to do.
I have this neighbor who is wonderful about remembering birthdays. She sends a little something to each of our family member's on their special day. I want to be better at remembering birthday's, so I have been wanting to make one of these birthday date folders for some time. I thought this would be the perfect opportunity to make myself a little something cute to help me remember all the birthday's in my life. It was so easy to do with all the coordinating products Limelight Papercrafts carries. Actually, that was the hardest part for me, choosing which papers I wanted to use. I went with the Jillibean Soup products, most of them from the Lentil Soup line. Chocolate and olive are two of my favorite colors to work with so I knew this would be perfect. The template is a My Timeless template, it's the Recipe Wrap Up. There are 4 little pockets on the inside which hold the lined, month cards. I then can write the person's name and their birth date for their birthday month and I now have them all in one place. Here's a close up of the monthly cards. The template I used had the year printed on them, so I covered 'em up with a 3/4 circle since I don't need this 1 year, I get to use this over and over.
There are many different panels you can decorate on this template, I left a few of them plain, used 4 of them for the pockets and then did up 2 of them with large paperclips if I needed to add any notes or bits of paper along the years.

So here you have it, a great way to make a coordinated birthday date book. here's all the supplies I used:

CS: Kraft, olive, and chocolate chip cs, Jillibean Soup dp

Ink: white gel pen

Accessories: Bean stalks, cool beans, scalloped border punch, various circle punches, janome sew mini.

Be sure to see what the rest of the team came up with for this month's challenge. It's the perfect time to get started on next year's calender projects!!!!

Happy Birthday Stamping Bella!!!

This is so cool! Stamping Bella is celebrating it's 3rd Birthday and we are all invited to join in the fun. There are 80+ bloggers joining us today! Welcome to the Bella Birthday Bash Blop Hop sponsored by Stamping Bella! If you've just happened upon my blog, you can CLICK HERE to start from the beginning at Bloggabella.

Prizes??? Of course!!!! Here's what I did for you today. I feel soooo clever and YES, I'm patting myself on the back for coming up with the idea. I needed to make a little girl soccer card so you know what I did? I morphed 2 stamping Bella stamps from the Green Bean Baby line-Coco has a Cuppycake and Jackson the Champion. With the help of my stamp-a-majig and some masking AND lots of trial and error, I think I got it pretty good. But, hint, hint, Emily, we need a girly soccer player for this line too! ;) The girls were a black and white team, so I stuck to those colors and put them on a kraft card base. I'll stop with the chit chat and send you on your way. Enjoy all the Bella inspiration today, I know I will! Next up is Lindsy!
Three gift certificates for $100 in Bella Bucks will be hidden along the hop, but we’re not telling you where so be sure to leave some love as you hop!!! Make sure you leave comments on every post so you have a chance to win!! The winners will be announced on Monday, December 7 at the Stamping Bella Blog. MWAH!Hugs and MWAH, Lisa

FWF and Stamp Something Together

I'm tired of blogging this week. Is it bad of me to admit that? Do you ever just get tired of being connected to the computer? I spend way more time on this computer than I should. Most days it's my best friend and keeps me connected to my friends, but other days I know I'd get sooo much more accomplished if I just walked away. lol!
It's Wednesday, and I'm scheduling my posts for the rest of the week. I'm hoping that will make me feel better and keep my computer time limited for the next few days. I just need a break. But I also don't want to leave you all hanging and I committed to some projects so I'm here with a combo post today. And I'm happy to do so.
I was hearing my neglected Unity stamps calling my name. My November KOTM has gone practically untouched, so I was inspired Tuesday to ink up an image from there. I also got a "had to have cuz it was too good a deal to pass up" Bright & Merry Winter Wishes inky. It really bothers me when I buy a stamp set and it doesn't see ink for weeks. I'm normally better about things like that ;)
The Stamp Something Challenge this week is Giltz and Glam! I added lots of silver Kaiser rhinestones and Christmas Red stickles glitter to this card. Stop by the Stamp Something blog and come play along this week. There's always a chance to win a prize!
Here's my card using the Just My Type sentiment and type writer image from the Nov. KOTM. I had that felt heart made up a week ago and never used it, so I was happy to find a home for it on this card.
Nothing like getting a head start on my Valentine's Day cards. Thanks for visiting today! See the full list of Friends With Flair participants Here or Here (Angela's blog).

ahhhhhh, a little rest for me!

Just a little, I've got more projects to work on and of course all my holiday card making to finish up. Today I thought I share a super cute and super CAS card. It's been awhile since I've done one and it was quite refreshing. I'm letting the Eskimo Kisses Stitched brads by Basic Grey brads and the gorgeous Moss silk ribbon shine on this card.

I love it when you can use a couple fabulous embellishments to create a fabulous card. The sentiment comes from the Unity Store KOTM, this one is the Oct. 09 kit....wonderful you. This took me 5 minutes to make! Seriously!

Find it all at Limelight Papercrafts. On sale through Wednesday , 12/10:
All Basic Grey Eskimo Kisses, Nook & Pantry, and Wassail - 15% off!
All Pink Paislee Mistletoe & Co. - 20% off!

MFT December DT Blog Hop!

Welcome to the December Release Blog Hop for My Favorite Things. Hopefully you arrived here from Melody's blog. I know she dazzled you with something fabulous. If you just stumbled upon me, I'm delighted you're here but, be sure to go back to Kim's blog and start from the beginning! Also, make sure to leave comments at all blogs involved tonight. There is secret Blog Candy hidden on someone's blog! You want a chance at a prize, right?!!!!
It was hard to decide what to share here tonight, so I saved my favorites for tonight. I hope you like them too! I am head over heals for the Pure Innocence line. I hope soon to see some adorable little boys in the future. For now, I'll keep having fun with the girls.
One great thing about these sets is that you get two different sentiments with each image. I used the Heart Stipes girl along with her "best friends" sentiment. I stamped the girl image twice, side-by-side to make this adorable little girl pair. I picked out the purple pattern paper from the Memory Box, butterfields, paper pack that is included with the Oct. MFT Kit, Thinking of hoooo? for the giant scalloped circle I layered behind the girls. Finished it off with some black perfect plaid ribbon and lace. I know you keep seeing me use it, but that ribbon is truly fabulous, so be sure to add some to your shopping cart if you haven't already!Next up is another one of the sweet girls, this time Fairy Girl. I used a different pattern from the same Memory Box paper pack and kept the earthy feel of it by mounting it on a kraft, Fossil notecard. It's a time saver, the scallops are already there!
Now off you go, Christina is up next!!!! I'm off to see the rest of the the MFT yumminess! It's been fun. See you later! Hgus, Lisa

What's up for grabs?
1) The newest WTG set - Maid for WTG
2) Love at First Sight
3) Truffles Flopsey
4) Love Machine
5) A new Pure Innocence set
6) Alphadots
At 10 pm, be sure to stick around and do the blog hop where the DT will share more fabulous projects created with all the new sets!!!!

Right now, you came here to see the final sneak peek and today we are showing off the new WTG (who's that girl) set, Maid for WTG. It's a fun one and every time I see it, I sigh and think...."if only"!
I have a wonderful guy, but he DOES NOT do any of the household chores. He HATES the vacuum. In fact, he hates it so much I always try to do the vacuuming when he is not home. Pathetic, I know, but I am a stay at home mom, so I feel like it is my job to keep the house in order. He puts in long hours at the hospital, and I know how fortunate I am to be able to stay home with the boys. BUT once in a while, it would be nice to get a break from all the chores I do. So I like to call this set, Wishful Thinking! lol! Maybe if I keep sending him cards like this, one day he might get a clue and help out a little.
I had fun piecing this card together with lots of different papers from the Nutmeg mini deck by Cosmo Cricket. See some more wonderful projects made with this set by the rest of the Dec. Temp Team and the regular DT. Kim will have the list up on her blog around 11 am EST! Hugs, Lisa

A New Alphabet!

Welcome to the 4th day of the MFT December release sneak peeks. If this is the first you've seen of them, be sure to scroll through my previous posts and stop by Kim's blog to see who else is sharing the goods!
So, I am a self proclaimed alphabet junkie. I love mixing fonts, sizes of letters, and different letter mediums (paper, chipboard, ink, die cuts...you name 'em I've got them). I was thrilled when I saw this month MFT is adding a new alphabet to their stamp line-Alpha Dots. I used it on a scrapbook page and I can't tell you how excited I am to finally have this page completed. I tried to start it over 2 months ago and I just couldn't make the pictures work on a layout. Once I got this alpha, the whole page just fell into place. It was meant to be, I tell ya! LOL!

My two oldest boys finally played together on a team together last summer. It was so nice to only have 1 practice to go to, and 1 game to see. They loved that T-ball season.
My title is a little play on words. Do you get it? Double Play. They both played on the same team. I thought it was quite clever. The word play in the title was done with the new alpha. The dots fit perfectly with a 3/4 inch circle punch. I stamped them in black on white cs, and the punched them out. I then accented them with a clear epoxy sticker. Here's a close up.

It was a perfect fit! I used old olive cs along with some green, October Afternoon dp from the Night Light line. I thought the design looked just like the fences of a backstop. What do you think?

Be sure to see Kim's blog today around 11 am (est) for the full line up of Alphadot fun. Also, only 1 more day till the release of all these fabulous new sets. Come join the fun in the SCS MFT forum from 8-10 EST!!!! I've got one more day of a sneak peek and then tomorrow night is the MFT Blog Hop! Stay tuned! Hugs, Lisa
