Limelight Project Parade!!!

It's November 6 and time for another project parade with Limelight Papercrafts! This month we are giving thanks. This year for Thanksgiving we are hosting dinner. I haven't done it in 3 years and for the first time in 12 years Tim is actually off on the holiday!!! I know a lot of families have the tradition of going around the table and say what they are thankful for. I think that would weird out my family, so I thought it would be good for everyone to do this in a different way. When they get here I'll hand them a strip of paper so they can write down something they are thankful for. This way they are not put on the spot. I totally cased this idea from the front cover of my very last Stampin' Success magazine. Here's what I made.
Yes, I used the Sept. Store Kit again by Unity, (HEY did you see Sept. and Oct. store kits are both on sale for $28!!!) I just love the leaf and acorn images paired up with that sentiment. Button is from Basic Grey, ribbon is Bazzil, and the brown twine is by Jillibean! Here's what the strips look like. I fancied them up with some matching images.
I even did a card to coordinate! When I first created this project, I thought we were going to my SIL's for dinner and I knew the card would be for her, but now that I'm having dinner I guess I can send the card to me!!! lol, nope, I just have another card for my stash. Here's the card created with some of the same products. I did add the beautiful journaling block from that same kit!
and one more close up of the note holder.
