Reverse Confetti/ April Stock Your Stash

April is coming to a close and that means there is just a little more time to get in your cards for the Stock Your Stash Challenge over on the RC Blog. This month's challenge theme is Mom's, Dad's, & Grads!

I created a beautiful non-traditional Grad card today with pretty butterflies. I just adore those butterflies from the Butterfly Dreams stamp set. I started with smaller images and heat embossed them with some white embossing powder. I created my background with Distress inks.

I love this sentiment on the butterfly, it's perfect for a graduate. I did a for rock 'n roll technique with some Iced Aqua and Grape Soda. Just be sure to start with the lighter color ink. I framed finished panel up with a Stitched Note & Frame Confetti cut with some Darling Dots paper. (all links below. they are affiliate links and I appreciate you for shopping through them, if you feel like it!).

I love this happy pup from Picket Fence Studios. It's from the set Friendly Mutts stamp set and I colored him up with Copics in yellow tones. I used the coordinating Friendly Mutts dies to cut him out. I pulled in the other challenge colors with some festive pattern paper by RC (affiliate links below).

Here is a closer look at the details. I added the orange for the challenge with a scattering of sequins. The sentiment is my favorite.

I put my Reverse Confetti products to work today. I started with some ink smooshing for my background. I used Distress inks in Peacock Feathers, Abandoned Coral, and Fossilized Amber to pull together the challenge colors. I use an old scrap of acetate to smoosh on my colors and then picked up some of the left over ink and added some splatters to finish the background. I set it aside to dry and got busy die cutting.

I cut the balloon with the Boxes 'n Balloons Confetti Cuts from the orange polka dotted pattern from the Paper Bliss 6x6 pad. The Hooray was cut three times from the  Hooray 'n Cheers Confetti Cuts. gosh, how I love word dies. I cut those from Midnight card stock. I finished off the sentiment with a strip from Word Up stamp set. It's my new favorite!

Picket Fence Studios April Release

Hello and happy Sunday! I am excited that today is the 14th and that means it is time for the latest and greatest from Picket Fence Studios. Did you know we have a monthly release on the 14th? So today the team is showing off all kinds of newness! You can see all the new release products HERE in the PFS store. There are now Stamp & Die Bundles available.....if you purchase the bundle you SAVE! Love saving some pennies on new products. I have linked them in my post and below in the LinkDeli.

I have two cards to share today and I love them both. I'll start with the Part of the Den stamp set. If you have been around my blog for any time, you know I love critters. Woodland critters are my favorite. I just adore the large group of beautifully drawn foxes. I colored them up with my Copic markers, coloring all of them the same with the exception of one, to make him stand out. I LOVE that PFS has coordinating dies. I used the Part of the Den dies to cut out the colored image. Part of the Den Bundle

I did some ink blending in the background with some Broken China Distress ink and Cracked Pistachio Distress ink with a little help from the Life Changing Blending Brushes. I stamped the sentiment from Part of the Den with Intense Black ink and added two of the sweet birdies from the Chirp Chirp stamp set. I used the coordinating Chirp Chirp dies to cut those out too. Chirp Chirp Bundle. Here's  a closer look.

My next card I used two new product. I was so happy to see a flamingo join the selfie stamp line up. Isn't he a cutie. It's from the Hello, Beautiful stamp set. I stamped him in Intense Black ink and colored him up with Copics and then used the coordinating Hello, Beautiful dies to cut him out. So fun! Pssst!!! Check it out....if you purchase the die and stamp set together you SAVE! I love bundles!

Diggin' that background? It's a new stencil! I love working with stencils and the Life Changing Blender Brushes. It's so easy. I blended on some pretty green Distress oxide inks with the Randomness Stencil and had this fun background for my cool dude flamingo. We have new neighbors, I think I might include this card with a goodie basket for them.

Thanks so much for stopping by today! I can't wait to see what you all pick up from this release. So much cuteness! Be sure to stop by the PFS shop for some retail therapy!

Color Throwdown 538/ Picket Fence Studios Ava BFF girl

Hello there!  Lynn is our hostess for this week's Color Throwdown Challenge #538!  She found the inspiration photo above of a spring centerpiece and thought the colors would be pretty to create with.
I hope you'll like creating with the colors MintAquaDark Pink and Green for this week's challenge and I hope they inspire you to create something special. We are using generic colors, so as long as you use the color values shown, you are all set! As always, please feel free to incorporate any neutrals that you need in your design as well!

If you upload to a public gallery, please use the keyword CTD538, and please use #ctd538 and #colorthrowdown on social media sites. All of the "rules" are in the right sidebar, please check them out if you are in doubt! One last detail to remember, no digital designs - only digital images that are printed off and colored will be allowed. Totally digital designs will be removed from the link up.

I had some fun pairing up a trio of stamp sets by Picket Fence Studios. I started with the Wild Rose Bouquet stamped in Seafoam ink in the background. I love how subtle it is but a touch of pretty. I then colored up Ava from the BFF Girl line of stamps. She's the newest addition and so sassy. I then used the matching Ava die to cute her out perfectly, no guess work.

I added a pop of pink with her hand bag and did a little paper piecing by stamping the houndstooth pattern from Classic Houndstooth set. I love it. The sentiment is from the same set and I stamped it with the Intense Black ink along the bottom. I added in the green from the challenge colors with my sequins. It's an easy way to work in a fourth color.

Reverse Confetti/ April Creative Blog Hop

Hello, Hello! It's the 8th and that means the Reverse Confetti Crew is getting creative. We are so excited to share our April Creative Hop projects with all our Fetti' Fans. So grab a cup of your favorite beverage and join us.

I have two cards for you today, because I couldn't stop with the gold embossing and water coloring the Floral Gems flowers. I wanted to think a bit outside the box and show you all how versatile this set is. Let's dive in.

I love, just love Stone ink on Premium Polar White card stock. It's subtle and it's beautiful. I used the Floral Gems frame image to create a background  for my card. I made sure to stamp off the edges and rotated the image, leaving the center of the image panel open so I could add the sentiment and flowers to the center.

I stamped out a whole slew of the flower and leaf images onto Distress Watercolor card stock in versamark ink and then added gold embossing powder. I hit it with a heat gun and let them all cool. I used my Zig Clean Color Brush markers to add pretty colors. I used the Floral Gems Confetti Cuts to cut each image out and then stamped a sentiment from Word up onto Stone cardstock. I cut it out and added it to the bottom of my floral bouquet.

Here is a closer look at the pretty embossing detail.

My second card today shows more of the Stone ink and Floral Gems as a background image. This time I just used the flower and leaf images along the right side of the panel. I then used the Circles 'n Scallops Confetti Cuts to cut out a circle and then added the stitching detail with the Detailed Circles Confetti Cuts. I embossed a sentiment from Sentimental Gems.

I used the rest of the water colored Floral Gems and tucked them in around the circle. I love how this all turned out. Two pretty cards added to my stash.

I can't wait to see what the rest of the crew has created for today.
Come join me.
