Hello there! Lynn is our hostess for this week's Color Throwdown Challenge #488! She chose a cheerful spring inspiration photo with some bright colors. I hope you'll like creating with the colors Yellow, Green, Aqua and White for this week's challenge and I hope they inspire you to create something special. We are using generic colors, so as long as you use the color values shown, you are all set! As always, please feel free to incorporate any neutrals that you need in your design as well!
If you upload to a public gallery, please use the keyword CTD488, and please use #ctd488 and #colorthrowdown on social media sites. Also, when linking up your card using the linky tool at the bottom of the post, please link to your specific post, not a generic link to your blog. All of the "rules" are in the right sidebar, please check them out if you are in doubt! One last detail to remember, no digital designs - only digital images that are printed off and colored will be allowed. Totally digital designs will be removed from the link up.
I had this Iced Aqua Lacey Scalloped Circle sitting on my desk. I knew it would make the perfect layer for my tropical pineapples from the Pineapple Aplenty stamp stamp set. I stamped one in Bumblebee ink and another in Parakeet ink.
I then inked up a pair of the pineapple crowns in the Parakeet ink and then hit the edges with the darker Lime Green ink. I used the matching Pineapples Aplenty Confetti Cuts to cut them out. In the background I reached for a fun graphic pattern in Iced Aqua from the Under the Umbrella paper pack. Some twine and sequins were the perfect finishing touches.
