Whimsy Guest Stamper & Color Throwdown 440

Hello Color Throwdown fans! Wanda is our hostess this week and she picked these gorgeous colors- magenta/purple, yellow and spring green based on this photo of one of her family's favorite side dishes!

Remember, we are using generic colors, so as long as you're close, you're good and as always, feel free to incorporate any other neutrals you need in to your design. I hope this color palette inspires you to create a card or project and that you'll have fun playing along with our  challenge.

If you upload to a public gallery please use the key words CTD440, and please use #ctd440 and #colorthrowdown on social media sites.  Also, when linking up your card using the linky tool at the bottom of the post, please link to your specific post, not a generic link to your blog.  All of the "rules" are in the right sidebar, so please check them if you are in doubt.  One last detail to remember, no digital designs.  Only digital images that are printed off and colored will be allowed.  Totally digital designs will be removed from the link up.

I also have another card with Whimsy Stamps as their Guest Stamper this month. I used the Sketched Elephants stamp set again but this time I chose the standing elephant. I combined the elephant with a retired set, Happy Hello stamp set and used the challenge colors to create a fun, graphic background. You could create this look with any sentiment set and thanks to my misty it was easy to line up my words. Just use different sized fonts for a playful look.

Before I go, be sure to check out with the rest of the CTD team has created with these colors. They are just yummy!

Reverse Confetti-Inspired by All the Little Things

As I was scrolling through IG and I kept seeing some gorgeous creations for the Inspired by All the Little Things challenge. I followed the link and decided to jump in. I was inspired by the bow ties, so I reached for my Reverse Confetti Tie-rific stamp set.

I pulled in the circle element from the challenge graphic with the Stone Lacy Scallop Circle. I was also able to work in the touch of silver glitter with a strip of glitter paper. Love it!

Here is the challenge graphic. Come check it out. It's a fun one. see how it inspires you.

Have a great day!

Whimsy Stamps Guest Stamper

Happy Monday stampy friends! So happy to be here with Whimsy Stamps as their guest stamper this month.

I have a card today and another one coming later this week. I just love their sweet images and fun dies, there is something for everyone. I couldn't wait to color up this darling elephant from the Sketched Elephants stamp set. I used my copics and colored him up then used the matching Sketched Elephant dies to cut him out.

I turned it into a birthday card with the Large Word Birthday die. I cut it out three times, twice with green card stock and then the third time with a festive polka dot pattern. I created a customized sentiment with a stamp from the Sketched Elephant stamps , some masking, and the word die.

I decided the party hat was not enough for the festive feeling I was going for on this card, so I stamped the balloon onto the polka dotted pattern paper and paper pieced it on the card base. I gave it some shimmer with a Wink of Stella Clear Glitter pen.

Thank you for stopping by today! If you haven't checked out Whimsy Stamps before, you should. Darling images and their latest release rocked! See you back here soon.

Color Throwdown 439-Best Things

Hello everyone!  Happy Wednesday!   Vickie is our hostess for this week's Color Throwdown Challenge!  The colors I chose for our challenge are redorangepurple, and yellow.  Remember, we are using generic colors, so as long as you're close, you're good and as always, feel free to incorporate any other neutrals you need into your design as well.  I hope this BRIGHT color palette inspires you to create a card or project and that you'll have fun playing along with our challenge!

If you upload to a public gallery please use the key words CTD439, and please use #ctd439 and #colorthrowdown on social media sites.

I am so excited to show off this week's card. You know why??? I finally dug out my beloved Unity stamps and picked one to work with. I was so blessed to work with Angela and the amazing design team for a few years. Top notch company and amazing people and adorable stamps. I used the itty bitty, Best Things Just Happen.  I used my zig clean color brush markers to water color the pretty stem in the challenge colors.

I added the purple in by stamping the sentiment twice, once in black and then again in Royal Purple on a piece of scrap paper. I cut that block out and pieced it over top of the stamped black sentiment on the card front. I finished it off with a scattering of sequins.

Reverse Confetti-April SFYTT

Hello Fetti Friends! I have a card for you today with the current SFYTT. There is still time to play along, so come check it out. I used the fun and adorable new set Boho Vibes for my card this month. I am bulking up my graduation cards and this set is perfect for the upcoming occasion. I used the feather image stamped with Stormy ink in the background to create a single layer for the rectangle from the sketch.

I cut one of the Circles 'n Scallops circles and added the stitched detail with Detailed Circles Confetti Cuts and stamped the sentiment from Boho Vibes in Lime Ink. I topped it with the feather and cut it out with the Boho Vibes Confetti Cuts. A strip of washi tape tied it all together.

We can’t wait to see what you create with this sketch…

Here are the challenge details…

The sketch link list will be open from the 1st until noon CST on the 27th. The SFYTT button is  posted on the sidebar.  Click on it to be taken to the current SFYTT post and link list.
