RC Color Challenge {still a little time}

There is still time to play. The Reverse Confetti Color challenge is up for another few days. I have another card I made using these awesome colors, just in case you were looking for some more inspiration.
This time I've created a birthday card, combing a few Reverse Confetti Stamps. I used the new LOTS TO SAY for my focal point.

 I actually used two sentiments from the set, stamping the first one at the top in Navy ink (Midnight Muse by SU).

 I then used the "happy birthday" stamped in Tangy Orange (MFT) onto the sweet double fishtail banner piece from Tag Me Confetti Cuts

I couldn't help myself. I stamped some of those lovely So Stripey  stripes onto my tag as well. Papers are older Studio Calico, Abroad. I loved the fun, graphic style of them. Perfect for a festive birthday card.

We are so excited to bring you our very first color challenge today.  First, let’s go over some details…

  • The color link list will be open from the 16th until noon CST on the 29th. The color challenge will be posted in the sidebar and you will be able to click on it to get to that month’s challenge post with the link list during this time.
  • Just like the Sketch For You To Try, we are allowing “anything goes” until the end of the year. Note, that we will be adding the Reverse Confetti stamps only in January.
  • You may enter as many times as you wish.
  • There will be a winner each month and that person will receive a $20 gift certificate to the Reverse Confetti store and claim the title of ‘Fetti Fave. The winner of Color Challenge will be posted on the Reverse Confetti blog on the 30th of each month.
Thank-you for stopping by today. I have a gratitude post coming up tomorrow. It's a Unity Hop day. We hope you'll join us.

Catered Crop {animal house}

It's a great Monday.  I told you yesterday that I would have another Lawn Fawn card for you. Today I'm using the adorable new Yeti. The set is Yeti, Set, Go! I ♥ it. and it fits perfectly with the Catered Crop theme for this week-Animal House.

Not only am I excited to play along with another great challenge......I'm over the moon excited to tell you all that I'm going the DT. Yep, Linda asked me last week and I jumped at the chance to work with such a talented group of women. Check it out

Here's my card. I used the latest Deconstructed Sketch paired up with the adorable Bundled Up papers. Swoon!!

I added a sweet little die cut heart from MFT Heart Stax and tied up a buttoney-bow in place of the flag element on the sketch. I think it works. I used the pointillism technique to color up my yet (E40, E41, E44 and some W1 and W4 Copic markers). A touch of Stickles to his tummy finished the cuteness.

I added a few LawnFawn Snowflake Sequins for a snowy accents. It's cold here in Cincinnati, so I was feeling the snow effects. The sentiment was stamped in Steel Grey ink by MFT. I mounted the whole Yeti scene on a Stitched Circle Matt by Lil' Inkers.

Be sure to check out the Catered Crop Animal House Challenge

and here's the link to The Deconstructed Sketch128
and how about one more....I'm joining in the LawnScaping Polka dot challenge

Happy Monday and thanks for stopping by. Stampy Hugs!!

Sweet Sunday Sketch 198 {oh, Deer}

I did a little stampy shopping the other day and finally picked up some of the oh-so-cute Lawn Fawn stamps. I have been eyeing this one, Into The Woods since it came out, and it happily jumped into my cart.

It's time for a new Sweet Sunday Sketch challenge. I also had fun playing with some new papers by Fancy Pants, Collecting Moments. The navy polka dots had me at hello!
I followed the sketch exactly.

 I used a 3/4 inch circle punch to make the fun cut out on top of that rectangle. It was a perfect spot to nestle in a few hearts from that stamp set.

The deer image was colored up with Copics and then cut out and popped up with some dimensionals. I stamped the sentiment in Steel Blue ink by MFT. The final touch was a bit of stickles glitter to the heart and the deer. I also added in a trio of Lawn Fawn sequins

Here is this week's sketch. We hope you'll come play along. You can find all the challenge details over on Karen's blog

Need some more inspiration....be sure to check out what the rest of the DT did with this week's sketch.

A Friendly Challenge {with RC stamps and dies}

We are back at it. My dear stampy friends, Jackie and Becky are joining me in a little Friendly Challenge. It was Jackie's turn to pick the theme and she asked us each to create tags or a gifty using Reverse Confetti Stamps.

 I love doing these challenges. For one, it gives us a chance to chit chat a bit AND it is always fun to see what each of us creates with starting with a similar goal.

It's that time of year that my crafty gift giving kicks into  full gear.  I like to be prepared (at least a little bit).  I used the awesome new Confetti Cut dies from Reverse Confetti to make a gift card holder and matching card.

Using similar products and colors on multiple projects makes for quicker results. I am so over mass producing. I used to make 80+ cards ALL THE SAME. No more. I like to coordinate things without  it all being matchy matchy.  I stamped them up with the fun TINSEL 'N TRIM stamps and the gorgeous So STRIPEY set. I seriously can't get enough of those stripes.

Here's a close up of the  Gift Card Treat holder. I cut two of the Sweet Treat Tents from kraft cs and stamped the diagonal stripes from So Stripey to cover the front ( I did it on the back, too). After stamping, go ahead and attach the bottom pieces to create the base to your tent.

 While I did a great job lining up my images, I could still see a bit of a seam and that bugged me, so I used the cute loopey border stamp from Tinsel 'n Trim to "hide" that, plus it was the perfect pop of color to my backdrop.

To accent the gift card holder even more, I used my FAVORITE new tag die, Tag Me. I added some die cut circles and a pinking circle to add a sentiment from Tinsel 'n Trim. I also tucked in a few polka dots from Whole Lotta Dots.

You might be wondering how I added a gift card to the inside of this. Simple. I used a few re-positionable glue dots (or you can re-use the sticky stuff that most gift cards have on the back from it's original packaging) and stuck the card right to the backside of the inside of my Treat Tent.

 And here's a closer look at the card. I really loved the neutral and Kraft colors with the green and red (Jellybean Green and Brick red ink, Paver Red cs).

 It had been too long since I tied on a giant bow with ribbon to a card. Swooon! ♥ I carried over the Pinking circle and banner piece from the design on my Treat Tent

For balance I stamped on a few of the fun dotted triangles and popped up the "Santa was here" arrow. So Sweet. Oh, and you'll notice I used the same tone-on-tone So Stripey diagonals (inspired by a card Jackie did for MFT) and that same loopey border.

Hope you are off to a fabulous Friday! It's almost Turkey Day here in the US and I am looking forward to some quiet days with my family. Enjoy the weekend.

 Be sure to hop on over to Jackie's and Becky's Blogs to see how they used their Reverse Confetti stamps to make tags or a gifty.

 It's always fun starting traditions.
Unity is beginning theirs.

It's the ANNUAL BROWN THURSDAY sale .
 NEW RELEASES, PRIZES and a HUGE SALE....

Last year a new Snowflake

created by each of the
Unity Artistas.
This year they each submitted a sentiment/quote.
It's a beautiful set, to say the least.

Here's what I created with it.
This one is my favorite.

I used this week's Mojo Monday Sketch for it,
and couldn't help add in a few sparkly stars.

I used papers from the glitz Finnly paper pack
and accented with some Nightshift blue cs by MFT.
I adore navy. I wrapped around some
navy twine for a quick little bow.

Here is a look at the new set.
Lasting Thoughts

Deconstructed Sketch 127 {love you}

Here is a card I made this weekend for the current Deconstructed Sketch. I was "shopping" in my own MFT stash this weekend and I grabbed this awesome Sunny Day Doodles Celebrate Life. I just adore these stamps and have the newest one on it's way to me. I used the "love you" sentiment on my card, today. I can't wait to use these in my Project Life Albums, but for today it's another card.

I used my Distress Markers to color it up. I love the softness the watercolor looks with these stamps.
Following the sketch, I tucked in a banner piece from the Insert It-Labels and Tabs.
I added some pretty polka dots to my background, thanks to Large Scale Backgrounds. I really love stamping with my MFT inks on to Kraft cs. One tip, is to be patient. I think the colors look so much better once the inks have dried. So if you aren't happy with your initial color, give it a few minutes (or hit it with your heat gun, like I do). You'll love the results.

Check out the link up for the DS Sketch 127. Thanks a bunch for stopping by. I love to read your comments.
