Hello....Summer!

It's official. For us, at least. Summer is here. My kiddos finished school yesterday and I will be done with my first year as a Preschool aid, as of 12:30pm TODAY!!! Summer has a whole new meaning to me :)

I am looking forward to NOT packing lunches, waking up to an alarm clock, and soaking up some sun (with sunscreen and sun hat, of course!)

I made this sweet summery card with this week's Retro Sketch 65. I loved it. This is my second card using it. It was super easy to make that split panel. I simply die cut my Insert it 3x4 Die-namics, gave it a quick trim and added some Peaceful Wildflowers to the top layer.

In the open space I added a hello from Happy Hellos Die-namics. Isn't Orange Fizz such a happy color.

I was feeling summer, so I also used MFT Card stock in Gumdrop Green, Kraft, and Sno cone for a pretty combo. I added some Gumdrop Green Buttons to follow the sketch, and tied on some Hemp Twine. I ♥ my Twine.
Of course it's easy to coordinate your whole card, ink and all, with the Premium Dye inks MFT now sells. I inked up those Wildflowers with Berrylicious, Gumdrop Green, and Steel Blue inks.

it's a Unity Thursday!

The end of the month
is FAST approaching!

So that means on June 1, a new KOTM will
be available.
BUT....
until then
I wanted to show off the fabulous
May kit of the Month!
{totally and Utterly Amazing}

Just one more time.

There is still time to become a
kit member
AND
get this stamp set.

It's a perfect time to finish off
some Grad cards.
I used this week's Retro Sketch no.65
for this one.
The sentiment is from this same kit.
it!

I used the MFT Notepad Die-namics
and gave it a trim to separate to top
and bottom so I could follow the sketch.

Hop on over to Robyn's blog

Here are the weekend Unity Promos!

The fun all starts on the Unity Blog.
Have a great Thursday.

WSC126-Special Blessing

Yes. It's Wednesday already.  That Monday holiday here in the US, really throws things off. Happy to say I've got a card for this week's WSC challenge with My Favorite Things

I decided to pull out my Prismacolored Pencils and color up this Freckles PI on Kraft cs. Once again I followed Inge's tutorial from the MFT Academy.

I decided to follow the sketch, pretty much exactly, so that means I got to use the Insert it-Insta frame Die-namics. I cut it twice, once in Natural cs and again with Kraft cs, for the inside.

Here is a close up of the PI, cutie.

I added a sentiment from the Cheerful Blessings stamp set to the bottom of the Insta Frame Die-namics. I added a pretty heart stamp. It's included in the Cheerful Blessings stamp set.  The ink is Berrylicious and Red Hot. I added a pretty Hemp Twine  bow

You can see a bit of swirl in the background. The sketch called for it, so I used the Looped Border in Steel Blue card stock

I added a bit of Sno Cone card stock to pull together my color scheme. I cut one of  the stitched flags from Blueprints 2 Die-namics and stamped a few more hearts from the Cheerful Blessings stamp set. This time I added them in Berrylicious ink

Here is the sketch for this week. I think you are going to love it.

We encourage you all to play along, and to enter your card in the weekly draw for a $15 gift voucher to the MFT Boutique. Simply follow the sketch and create a card or other paper creation. You may use any stamps and supplies that you wish. Each week, a keyword is assigned to the sketch. All you need to do to enter, is upload your card to the gallery at SCS, and enter the given keyword in the keyword box, during the upload process. After the deadline, we randomly choose a winner from that week's entries and the winner will receive a $15 gift voucher. If the winning card uses MFT stamps, the participant will earn a $5 bonus, for a total of a $20 gift voucher!

Upload your creation to SCS using keyword MFTWSC126 for a chance to win this week's prize (see above). You have until noon Tuesday, June 4 to play along.

Be sure to hop on over to the MFT Blog for all sketch details.

Here are the links to product I used on today's card. Click the pictures or any of the links in my post to check out the MFT products.

End of the School Year....Thank-you's!

It's the end of the school year for my kiddos. We have 3 more days. How about your kids?? If you are like us, you've been counting down for weeks.

Don't forget about your teachers and aids and all those other people that make the school year safe and fun for your little ones. I whipped up a few of these sweet, apple thank-you's, thanks to all my My Favorite Things supplies.   I'll be tucking them in with a gift card.

I used the awesome apple die, Red Delicious Die-namics,  to cut some Electric Red cardstock. I  used sour apple, gumdrop green and hot fudge cs to add the fun stem and leaf. I mounted them up on the 3x4 Notepad insert-it Die-namics. I added the ledger lines, by stamping the For The Record stamp in Sno cone ink

The sentiment is from the Gift Card Greetings II stamp set. This is my favorite stamp from the set.

Thanks for stopping by today. Hope your Tuesday is  going great :)
