Here's what's in the line up for today: Pure Innocence - Caramel Apple, Karate Girl, Karate Boy, Sunflower Girl, Poppy.  Pure, Sweet, and beautiful, as always.
Check out this Karate Boy....I think he's just the cutest.  I added the birhtday sentiment onto the new Bracket Tab die-namic. He's mounted up on the You Move Me die-namic frame (such a fun shape!)
On the inside I stamped him again, added some stacking stars and the "Pow" sentiment! Fun, fun, fun!  My favorite MFT Twine ties it all up.

Changing gears to fall (no, I'm not ready for fall, but it was nice to pull out these Nutmeg papers by Cosmo Cricket). I mounted this cutie up on the Tag your It die-namicI accented it up with a border of the mini tickets and a double fishtail banner from First Place Award Ribbon.

Here's another look, up cloase,  at the new die-namics I used.

Don't forget, Kim's Blog has the line up of Teaser Posts for today. Lots of cuteness out there today.

Day Two of MFT teasers

Hello, again! So....was that not a great kick off, or what??? Love those numbers!  I think you'll love today, just as much.

Here are the details about the upcoming release on August 2 at 10 PM EST:

  • The MFT release is on August 2 at 10 PM EST. You can attend the release party from 8-10 PM EST here in the forum for fun, games, and prizes! All the new sets and dies will be available August 2 at 10 PM EST.

Day two...and there is more to see, of course. Today you get to see samples with: Just the Ticket, à la modes - I Spy, à la modes - Bundle of Baby. Yep, finally, you get to see this month's à la modes.  Kim has decided to include them in with the full release. Same great stamps!

Oh, boy, I don't know where to start. Okay, I'll just dive in.....yesterday I ooo'd and ahhhh'd over the number dies and stamp set, well today there is a FULL sized ticket die with matching stamp set. It's amazing.

First up, is this fun card.  I die cut two of the tickets, on with polka dotted dp (cosmo cricket-odds and ends) and the other on Fine Linen cs. I used some of the included stamp elements to make them all pretty. I couldn't help but add a mini ticket border and the new, pretty Fancy Flourish to finish this one off.

I continued making more tickets, this time out of Fossil cs and creating a love themed card. Lace, twine, button , and a hearts a plenty die-namic heart to embellish this one. Seriously.....options are endless!

Here's a looksie at one of the à la modes, too. I Spy is pretty darn cute.
I colored it in with copics, and added a bit of crystal effects to give the glass a "real life" feel and look. See those blue polka dotted frames highlighting the main image....that's another new tab die, this month it's called Bracket Tab. I have to point out that I'm in love that there are so many of the MFT dies with this beautiful curved shape. I used the Perfect Bracket Edge die to shape my card base and then added a bit of the solid bracket border for some extra detail.

The inside finishes off the sentiment and I mounted it up on a Cloud trio die cut and added a pretty sun in matching papers (my mind's eye-lime twist).
Here's what the new die-namics look like that I used.

MFT Teaser Time....August Release

Welcome.  It's day 1 of our August Teaser Time Posts. Sit back and enjoy the ride.....it's another great month with MFT!

Here's what's in the line up for today.....Clearly Sentimental about Sympathy, and By the Numbers. Fun, Fun stuff, I tell ya!

I've got two for you today showing By the Numbers in action!

Here I used all the die-cut numbers as a backdrop for my card.  I love the faux embossed look you get when you die cut an image in the same color cardstock (fossil) as the background.  Since I was making a 7 yr. old birthday card I decided to stamp only the # 7 with the cool music note stamp.  It was  a natural fit since my Jillibean designer paper has some music notes on it too. I also used the polka dot background stamp to pretty up my orange circle.

I stamped the sentiment on another new die-namic (more on that later this week) and used some circle die-namics from other sets (sweet stack and first place award ribbon).  The stars come from the  Notched Tag set.  And for good measure you'll notice I used the open zig zag border....love that for boy cards.
Another birthday card is up next.....all of a sudden we have a lot of summer birthdays going on around us.  I did this one up with some Lime Twist papers and another new die-namic (again....you'll see more of this later in the week).....it's a tag!

I created a different, custom background on the tag with the words happy and birthday from the By the Numbers set and added a fish tail banner thanks to my FAVE First Place Award Ribbon die-namic. It's all tied up with some Pea Pod twine.

I tell you every month that I am a sucker for a die and matching stamp set.....well, this month is NO different. This set is brilliant! Lots and lots of ways to dress up die cut numbers.....what's not to love!

Hope you have fun on day one of our teaser posts......be sure to stop by Kim's Blog for the list of Tearser Time blogger's today.

MFT WSC30....Arrrrr!

Happy Hump Day....middle of the week....getting through the daily grind....how about a little pick me up?  It's time for another great sketch my MFT. Come join the fun.
I used the adorable new Claire Key stamp set.....ahoy, matey.
I decided to use him to make my nephew's birthday card. I changed up the scallops to the open zig zag die-namic and used the Notched Tag die and  stamp set to add the Celebrate sentiment.  That orange polka dotted circle comes from the Sweet Stack lables die-namics.

Check out Kim's Blog for the list of bloggers joining the hop today.

We encourage you all to play along, and to enter your card in the weekly draw for a $15 gift voucher to the MFT Boutique. Simply follow the sketch and create a card or other paper creation. TCP168.....a color combo and some birdies

This week's TCP 168 challenge was to work with these colors.  I was a bit unsure of them, they seemed a little bright for me.....but I really like how I pulled them together. I played up the watermelon and green colors and left the pumpkin at a minimum. Of course throw in a little kraft (fossil cs by MFT) and it helps tone it all down a bit.  ahhhhh, I ♥ kraft cs!

I also put my Nesting set to work. Love those polka dot birdies. I softened it all up with some beautiful seam binding ribbon.

I think it's great that Alma is now carrying this ribbon in the TCP store.  I just love how it ties.
Thanks for stopping by. Have a great Monday!

Paper Smooches July Sparks Challenge....take 3

Last one, I promise......Here's another card for the July Sparks Challenge with Papersmooches Stamps.

After the bat card, I decided it was time to finally ink up the only image from this set that I had yet to use.  This acorn has been on my mind to use with this Jillibean Core-dinations paper.

The pattern was almost an exact match.  I sanded it to give it some more depth.  I love coloring on kraft cs with my copics...that's what I did here and gave this acorn an unique color scheme. It was cut out and popped up with foam dimensionals.  I used the matching sentiment and thanks to the ease of acrylic stamps, I rounded this one out to match the curve of the circle.  I used part of the sentiment to give some flair to the hawaiian shore circle and used a wood vanner button for the other circle from the sketch.  It's pretty darn cute, dotcha think?

Sparks Challenge....card no.2

So, I tried to link up all three of my cards with the same post....wouldn't work. So, sorry if this gets a little obnoxious, but I'm posting three blog posts in a row, so I can link up my work properly. Thanks for hanging with me.  Here is my Batty Love card for the July Sparks Challenge.

While I was working with this first sketch for my monster card (I ♥ this guy sooooo much) I had another idea for a card and thus, my batty love card came to be.
This time I used lots of bits and pieces of the different sentiments included in the set to create this fun banner of vellum.  The top piece of the banner was covered with a polka dotted sheer fabric I had in my stash, then the bat was hung from some fun, twine.
Up next....another card, another sketch. Hugs!

July Sparks Challenge....Paper Smooches

I love Kim Hughes's stamps.....Paper Smooches stamps are just the cutest and her fonts are fabulous.....I wish I had more of them.  I still only own one set (hoping to change that soon).....one of the orginal sets, Falling for You.

Kim has started a monthly challenge, Papersmooches Sparks Challenge, and it was just what I needed to motivate me to use these fabby stamps. I had time to whip up three different cards using 2 of the different sketches. How cool is it that Kim offers up great sketches and color combos each month....such a nice perk!
I couldn't resist playing along. Look how great these sketches are.

First up is my monster love card. I used one of my fave color combos along with one of my all time FAVE paper lines....Oct. Afternoon-Fly a Kite.  If you click on the picture, you'll get a close up of the detail.  The kraft layer is actually embossed with one of PTI impression plates-linen and canvas.....love the subtle texture it adds to any project.

stay tuned.....two more cards in seperate blog posts coming up!
 Hugs!

A Unity Wedding.....

FWF and I've got a quick elegant card to share. This one is so not my usual style, but I had a wedding card to make for a friend and I ♥ how it turned out.
I used an old KOM.....it's the July 2010 KOM....Happily Ever After.

Check out the Unity Blog for all the other FWF inspiration and the $5 Friday deal.

ETA: the flourish I used is the new Leafy Florish die-namic by My Favorite Things.  Sorry I left that detail off.

WSC29...thinking of You

This one goes out to a dear friend of mine who just lost her mother.  I just can't stop thinking about her and everything she is going through.  I wanted to make a card, just for her, you know, not your typical sympathy card.  The Just My Type set and a great sketch all by MFT came to the rescue.

I couldn't decide which sentiment to use....so I used both. One on the outside and the other on the inside.  You'll also see I used the Medium Simply Scallop die-namic border and the Pretty Posie die-namic for the flower accent.
Come join the fun. We encourage you all to play along, and to enter your card in the weekly draw for a $15 gift voucher to the MFT Boutique. Simply follow the sketch and create a card or other paper creation. You may use any stamps and supplies that you wish. Each week, a keyword is assigned to the sketch.
