Lucky for me, I'm getting a jump on a little appreciation card for my son's substitute teacher. My first graders regular teacher went on maternity leave two weeks into the school year. His sub has been fabulous and I thought it was only fitting to send her off next month with a signed card from the class. I put my Silhouette to work to cut out this fun shape, and made the card a little larger than normal, so the kids would have room to write their names inside. I couldn't resist the
notebook edge die-namic with this card, and a little MFT twill. Here's what the inside looks like.
I layered up new
Polka Dot Framed die-namics with an oval punch along with another apple and the notebook stamp (included in the set), AND another strip of the notebook die.
I'm also excited to show you the sweet altered pencil I made. I used some
MFT felt to make the sweetest rolled flower (thanks to the amazine die-namics die) and hand cut some leaves. I the attached it to my pencil with a hat pin, just stuck that right through the center of the flower. A visual would probably have been better, but I forgot to snap a picture of this process. I lined up the flower with the top of the pencil (I removed the eraser and metal part) and made sure the bottom of the pin rested along the side of the pencil. I then wrapped it with Score-tape. I was then able to cover that up with a piece of ribbon and added a pop of color with the bakers twine.
Alright, there you go! Thanks for all your kinds words.
CINDY is up next. I know she'll have something fabulous for you!
