Back in the Swing of Things...

Well sort of ! I think that really won't happen until the middle of next week when the kids are back in school. But as for today, well it is Friday, so that means it is a Stamp Something day. Yeah! We took last week off, so it feels like forever since I have posted something for these challenges. We decided to start the new year off with something easy, something fun, something we thought you could all handle. This week is a New Somethings challenge. Did you get some new toys for Christmas?Did you buy yourself something new to play with? Do you have a new technique or color combo you would like to try? Today's the day to pull out that new stuff and put it to use! You know why else you want to play along? Well, there is a Guest DT spot up for grabs as the blog candy. How cool is that? If you have followed my blog, then you know that is how I ended up joining the DT here. Great things can come from Guest DT spots!

Here is my card for this week's challenge. I didn't get any new crafty stuff for Christmas this year, which is fine because I have been buying myself little gifts all along. Heheheh! This is a new set I bought myself in the beginning of December and I finally had a chance to ink it up thanks to this challenge. The designer paper I used is also new. I received it in my prize package from Papercrafts magazine (two cards I sent in for their World Card Making Day contest got picked!!! I'll be published in the March/April issue and I got a HUGE box of stamping goodies!!!) The paper is from Tinkering Ink and I have a fallen in love. Their stuff is soooo pretty. The stamp set is Sending My Love from There She Goes. If you haven't seen this stamps company, stop, and go check it out. Jessica is so sweet and she has great stamps!! (this is just my opinion, I do not work for the stamp company, nor do I design for them. I just like to pass on a good thing when I find it). The best thing about this set, aside from the fun images, is it only cost $5. It is a mini set, but there are A LOT of images included. So there you go! Get busy and don't forget to check out the other DT creations and see what new things they have to play with. If you play along, remember to link your creations to the Stamp Something blog to be considered for the Guest DT spot. Have fun and Good Luck!

Hugs, Lisa
