Not so Glorious green!

I am kind of working backwards with the challenges over at SCS this week. I told you yesterday I love the challenges each day over there. Tuesdays and Wednesdays are my favorites. On Tuesdays there is a color combo challenge. This weeks challenge was, are you ready, Real Red, Glorious Green, and Night of Navy. Now to a lot of people, this probably isn't that bad of a combo, but for me-yuck! It is the Glorious Green that makes my stomach turn. I just don't like it. So I wasn't going to do the challenge this week, BUT, I couldn't stop thinking about it. So after seeing my online, soon to be real, friend, Kristin's card, (you can see her other amazing work on her blog listed to the right-she's a great swaps girl) I thought, "hey, I can do this." And so here it is.

I do like how this turned out. I used the same layout on another card, I'll be posting that one tomorrow (and I love that card way better, much more ME-colors) so look for that in my next post and see how different two cards can be using the same layout.

I'm proud I actually took part in the challenge. It is good to work outside your comfort zone every once in awhile. It wouldn't be a challenge, if it didn't make you think, right?! Have a great day!

  2. well, tickle me pink! I happen to read my friend Lisa's blog and see MY NAME- aren't you the sweetest! I'm so glad my card (I struggled with by the way) challenged you to take on that color phobia of yours with Glorious Green! You know what's funny, when I opened my GG ink pad (which I ended up not using) I am nearly certain it was the first time EVER that it had been opened!

Anyhoo, love this card! It is a great set to use GG with!

Hey, about our becoming "Real" friends- I've got a conflict, I'm so sorry! I'll e-ya! (oops, not conflict with being friends, just the date)!
