I had this Slimline die set from CPD on my desk for weeks and I FINALLY put them to work. I have the started with the Essential Slimline dies. I cut my base layers and set them aside. Then I got started with one of my favorite ink techniques with the Catherine Pooler Inks....ink blending!

I used a piece of CPD Premium White card stock and blended on 3 of the new Date Night ink Colors: Do si do, Cummerbund, and In The Park. Once the panel was dry, I spritzed on a little clean water. I let that dry and then stamped out some fortune cookie and dumpling images from Hey There Dumpling.  I stamped the sentiment and a few of the teeny tiny hearts in Midnight ink.

I then used the heart dies from the Essential Slimline dies to fill the top and bottom openings on the

Here is the top of the card. I love how the black hearts help balance out the card and fill in the white space.

That's it from me. Be sure to pop over to Insta and follow me there, @lisahenke. I have more info on the GIVEAWAY!

Have a great rest of the week!

Color Throwdown #627 Good Cheer!

Hi, everyone!  Lori picked our colors for this week’s Color Throwdown challenge.  The colors from this week's inspiration photo are pale pink, blue, and gray.  The colors are generic and it's fine if you want to add in other neutrals along with the challenge colors.

Once you’ve finished your card or other paper crafting project using the colors, add a direct link to your creation using the linky tool at the bottom of the post.  And, don’t forget to use the keyword CTD627 if you upload your project to an online gallery. You can use the keywords #ctd627 and #colorthrowdown if you upload to any social media sites (yes, we're on Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter!).  All of the challenge "rules" are in the right sidebar in case you have any questions.  One last detail to remember, no digital designs.  Only digital images that are printed off and colored will be allowed.  Totally digital designs will be removed from the link up.

Before you head off to create, here’s some inspiration from our talented team to get you started.  The CTD team is looking forward to seeing what you create with these colors!

We are approaching birthday month in our house and I am starting early on my stash. I pulled out the adorable Bearing Gifts stamp set and started with some stenciling pink clouds with the Cloudy Days Cover Panel (just cut a panel and tape it down to use as a stencil. I cut mine from regular card stock and it works beautifully).

I colored up with card in the light blue color for the challenge and kept the rest of the images in the grey tones. I add some ground detail with my copic markers.

The sentiment was stamped in Stormy ink from the same Bearing Gifts set.

For more amazing projects with this week's colors, check out what my teamies created with these colors.

We can't wait to see what you come up with this week.

I tried to pick a favorite color combo to work with on this card and well, you'll see....I used  A LOT of the colors. This adorable new sushi set, Hey There Dumpling, was the perfect way to showcase so many of the new inks.

The colors I used are: Pucker Up, Do Si Do, In the Park, Catching Rays, Chiffon, Serenade, and Cummerbund.

I tied on some twine and lined the panel with some black card stock and my card was complete. This set will make the perfect Valentine's Day cards for my crew that loves sushi.

Check back, I have another card later this week showcasing more of these fabulous new ink colors.

Here is my card for this week's colors. I used the beautiful Farmhouse Wreath stamp set from Reverse Confetti. I love that there are extra floral images that you can use to create a beautiful background. I was looking for a wallpaper-like feel, yet didn't want it to over power the card, so I stuck with Midnight ink stamped on Cloud White Card stock. I layered that over top of some polka dotted paper from an old 6x6 paper pad, Darling Dots

I stamped the wreath image onto cloud white cardstock and and Midnight ink and then used my Zig markers to do some simple water coloring. I an extra bow and floral  and use the matching Farmhouse Wreath Confetti Cuts to cut them out. I adhere them with some foam dots for extra dimension.

I went back and forth on how I wanted to do the sentiment and decided on a Midnight layered hello word die from the Hello & Thanks Label.

Thanks for stopping by. for more amazing projects with this week's colors, check out my teamies.

I used the Serenade, Ink the Park, and Pucker Up inks for my snowflakes and they were perfect for this week's colors.  The Bunny Slopes stamp set is full of adorable images and sweet little sentiments.

I colored up the bunny couple with copics and added the sentiment in Midnight ink to the center of the card.

Reverse Confetti January RELEASE is LIVE!

Today is the day! The Reverse Confetti January Release is LIVE! I am so happy you are here with me. It's always a great day when you can get some new, fabulous stamps and Confetti Cuts from Reverse Confetti

I was really excited to use some of the smaller images from Picture Perfect on a lovey card and keep it Clean & Simple. I started with the Outlined Frame Cover Panel in Premium Polar White and then used the sentiment from Picture Perfect to inspire my card.

I colored up the drive-in image and popcorn and then used the Picture Perfect Confetti Cut and added them to the center of the card base along with a Midnight outline heart from the Big Love Confetti Cuts. I balanced out the card front with a scattering of the stars from Picture Perfect

I have one more card for you today. I had to use another of the cuties from Love is in the Air. I started with the Outline Frame Confetti Cut.

I adore the sweet little raccoon from Love is in the Air and colored him up with Copics. I then cut him out with the coordinating Love is in the Air Confetti Cuts

I wanted to pack a punch with the sentiment so I combined the Big Love Confetti Cuts with a sentiment from Love is in the Air. I love how you can layer up the Big Love CC with Piggy Bank and Salsa card stock. I then tucked in some of the clouds from Cloudy Days Cover Panel. I added a touch of sparkle with some chunky glitter.

It's a fan favorite day....the Dawn Machell sets. So much cuteness. First up from me is Picture Perfect. It is just so fun to play with. created this sweet little scene and used the matching Confetti Cuts to cut out all the bits and parts.

I satarted with the new Outlined Frame Cover Panel and masked off the outside and then did some ink blending to create a night sky. I then colored up the images from the Picture Perfect set and cut each out with the coordinating Picture Perfect Confetti Cuts

My second card started with the All Hearts Cover Panel in Premium Polar White. Then I cut the Layered XOXO Confetti Cut from Grape Soda and Iced Aqua. I then colored up the sweet pup from Love is In the Air stamp set.

I used the Love is In the Air Confetti Cuts to cut out the pup and then stamped a sentiment from the coordinating stamp set to complete the sentiment.

Thanks for stopping by today. I have more to share tomorrow.
