April Creative Blog Hop

We are so super excited for today's blog hop. Love is in the air and the Reverse Confetti Crew has a Creative Blog Hop for you featuring Moms, Dads, and Grads. I focused on mom and dad and used similar colors and the same technique with the different die cut words.

Let's take a closer look at each of my projects, up first is my mom card. I started with Something Wonderful stamp set, Wisteria ink, and Premium Polar white card stock. Gosh, those flowers are beautiful! Once I completed the background, I placed the Flowers For Mom word die right in the middle and cut out the word.

I set the postive piece to the side and then cut out 5 more layers of the word die. I started with Iced Aqua card stock and then I used the Peach ink to sponge onto white card stock so I could cut some peach layers. I then glued all those together, with the floral design on top.

To finish off the card, I cut Iced Aqua card stock with the Lacy Scallop Circle Confetti Cut. Before I placed it over the top of my floral panel, I stamped the sentiment from Rose Garden in Midnight ink. I then placed the stacked "mom" word die in the cut out negative space.

I felt like I needed an extra pop of color, and because I am in love with the Peach ink color, I decided to ink up the small little rose from the Something Wonderful stamp set. I used the Something Wonderful Confetti cut and then I snipped out just the flower. I then added some sequins to help pull the peach color throughout the card. I added a layer of pattern paper from the  Fun Times paper pack on the card base.

I used the same colors, but swapped out the peach for Stone. I used the Tie-Riffic stamp set to stamp out the tie image in Wisteria, Stone, Pistachio, and Iced Aqua.

I then used the Tie-Riffic Confetti Cut "dad" word die just like I did with the "mom" word die. It is such a fun way to add dimension and make a statement on a card. An easy and fun technique. Try it if you haven't yet.  This time I only stacked it with three layers.

I then finshed off the card by stamping a sentiment from Tie-Riffic in Stormy ink and added a Stone frame from the Greetings Frame Confetti Cuts

Here is another look my finished projects. I can't wait to gift these to  my parents.
