Friendship and Sand Dollars

I was feeling some natural colors and was dying to add some pretty copic details and shading with Tea Dye Distress ink to the Sand Dollar Confetti Cuts from Reverse Confetti after I saw Amy Sheffer do it last month. I pulled up last week's MFT Wednesday Sketch and this card happened. Just Because.

I used two of the Stitched Flag Trio Confetti Cuts tucked behind the Thanks Tag Confetti Cut. The sentiment is from A Friend Like You and it fit perfectly onto the banner from Flowers For Mom. I tied on some natural twine and a scattering of sand colored sequins. Soft and pretty

Thanks so much for hanging with me! I love reading all your sweet, kind words.

Day 3-Lil Inker Designs July Release

Welcome back LID fans and friends. We are on the final day of the Lil' Inker Designs July release and we still have some pretties to share.  Be sure to start back at the LID Blog for all the release details and lots of pretty eye candy. Hopefully you arrived here from Angel Rivera's Blog

Don't forget to leave comments each day on all the designers' blogs. You have a chance to win 1 of 3 Gift Certificates to the LID Shop. Today is your final chance. Don't miss it.

I might just have saved the best for last. These new Doodle Daisies are soooo, so pretty. I had fun adding a touch of water color to them with my Zig clean color brush markers. I first embossed them with white embossing powder. I love how it makes them pop.

Here is a closer look at them.

The sentiment! ohmygosh....it's my favorite. How fun!

For my next one I still had some water color fun. I first used the new Quilted Stitched Spirals and embossed that awesome design into the water color paper. I then added some crushed coral distress ink with the smooshing technique.

I then added the latest addition to the boxed up dies. This one is called the Boxed Up So Happy for You die. Love those. Great for any quick and easy card project.

I accented one of the corners with a pretty Doodle Daisy. This time I stamped one of the solid images and then used the outline to stamp over top. Lots of options with this combo.

Take another look at the products I used today.

That's it from me for this release, but there is still more to see from the team.
Thanks for all your kind words this week.
Amy Kolling is up next.

Color Throwdown 403-Wheelie Love You

Hi everyone!  Broni is our hostess for this week's Color Throwdown  Challenge.  She has gone soft and pretty with this week's colors.

They are Peach, Yellow, Light Pink and White.  Remember we just use generic colors (so any brand/type/whatever you have will work) and you can always feel free to add in other neutrals (cream/black/etc) to make your creation pop!

If you upload your creation to a public gallery, please use the keyword CTD403, and please use #CTD403 and #colorthrowdown on social media so we can find your gorgeous creations!  When linking up your creation using the linky tool below, please be sure to add a link to your specific post, not a general link to your blog.  All of the "rules" are in the right sidebar of the CTD Blog, and you can always check there to be sure!

I had a request for an anniversary card for someone who loves to bike. I pulled out lots of different products for this card. I normally never mix my brands but I couldn't help myself this week. The pattern paper, bike and large vellum heart are from MFT.

The sentiment is from The Cat's Pajamas, Wheel Love. I was my starting point for this card. It was perfect. The banner die is from Reverse Confetti, Flowers for Mom Confetti Cut. The gorgeous Stitched Woodgrain is from Lil' Inker Designs.

For more inspiration, check out the other design team members' creations below, and get inky! And don't forget to join us over on the CTD Blog. We can't wait to see what you create with these new colors.

Thanks for stopping by today!

Day 2 Lil' Inker Designs July Release

Welcome back LID fans and friends. We are on the second day of the Lil' Inker Designs July release and there is still so much to share.  Be sure to start back at the LID Blog for all the release details and lots of pretty eye candy. Hopefully you arrived here from Sarah Jay's Blog.

Don't forget to leave comments each day on all the designers' blogs. You have a chance to win 1 of 3 Gift Certificates to the LID Shop.
Check it! That amazing spiral stitched background detail. Yeah! it's awesome and you need it. This is the new Quilted Stitched Spiral Die. Love it and you will too. I wanted that design element to take center stage, so I kept the rest of the card pretty simple. I used the new Fringe Scallop Circle Die as the sweet spot to stamp my sentiment from The Little Things

And because I love leaf dies, I decided to just use a few springs of the leaves from Little Things Dies and cut it from a gorgeous pattern from the Tribal Chic 6x6 papers. This shot also shows how I lifted up some of the fringe scallops for extra, pretty dimension.

On my next card, I started off with the same two awesome new dies, the Fringe Scallop Circle die and the Quilted Stitched Spiral die. This time I cut a larger circle and it made me think of a lion's mane for some reason. Perfect to showcase the sweet little lion image from a previously released set, Lovie Friends. I used the matching, Lovie Friends Dies, to cut  him out after I colored him with  my copics.

The final new product that I used today and I am totally loving it, is the Happy Birthday Border die. So many cool ways to add this to your projects. It really is a versatile word die. I trimmed it small and kept just a tight border along the bottom. I also added a strip of foam tape behind it to pop it up. I finished it off with some b&w bakers twine.

Here is a close look at the new product I am showing off today.

Thanks so much for hanging with me.
I'll see you back here tomorrow.

Lil' Inker Designs July Release-Day 1

Yay! it's finally time for the latest Lil' Inker Designs release! So many beautiful products you are going to love. All the release details are on the LID Blog along with more beautiful projects. We have three exciting days planned for you, filled with inspiration and prizes. Yes, you have a chance to win one of three LID Gift Certificates. Leave a comment on the DT Blogs each day for a chance town.
Hopefully you arrived from Stephanie Gold's Blog, if not be sure to jump back to the beginning and begin the fun with LID Blog

I am starting the kick off with this amazing new set, The Little Things. I adore the birdies in this set and matching Little Things dies makes it so easy to cut them out. I stamped some leaves and a flower from the same set.

I used a few older dies to highlight the new product. I used the Anytime Tasg dies to create the pretty focal layer. I cut out one of the gorgeous patterns from Tribal Chic 6x6 papers. The navy base layer was cut with my favorite Silly Stitched dies. I can't get enough of the stitched details.
That fun hello word die is from the new Everyday Word Tags. I cut three of them and stacked them up and tied on some natural twine. Here is a closer look at the details.

Looking at this next card, you might be thinking, "hey, those are not new". You are right, mostly. I used the previously released Girl's Best Friend stamps and dies. Gah! how I love that diamond die cut. The Alphagems stamp set is a previously released beauty, too.....but guess what??? Laura just released matching dies! OMG! So cool. I love how easy the Alphagems Dies are to line up and cut out.

I used some foam dimensionals to pop them up.

I added so much shine to this card, with the glitter paper, the metallic inks and the shimmery letters thanks to my Clear Wink of Stella pen.

Here is a closer look at the new LID products I used today.

They are available in the LID Shop right now.

Continue to fun with the next blog on our hop. Heather Hoffman is up next.
Check back tomorrow, same time, same place.
