Lil' Inker Designs July Release

It's the final day of samples for the Lil' Inker Design July Release. So that means it's also the final day to leave some comments for a chance to win a PRIZE!   You can purchase all of the new stamps and dies in the LID store NOW

Hopefully you arrived here from Lea Lawson's blog. If not, you'll want to head on over to the LID Blog. Laura's got all the details there about the new release and the prizes you can win.
I went soft and pretty with my card today. The gorgeous new Sketched Floral stamp set and matching Sketched Floral dies are sooooo fantastic! Not only are the flowers beautiful, but there is an amazing font for the sentiments. I stamped that along the bottom.

I LOOOVE the Anytime Tag Die set and Stitched Mats-rectangle dies. They were the perfect backdrops for the rest of the the LID goodies I added to this card. I use the Smile Word Die (if you didn't pick those up last month, be sure to pop one or ALL of them in your cart this time) because it was a great match with the sentiment I used.

Here's a close up of the flower and the other dies. I just love the detais on that flower.

I also, finally got the gorgeous new Fancy Feathers stamp set inked up! I am In.LOVE. There are matching dies, too for easy cutting! I paired these up with the wonderful Seriously Word Die. I used the negative space here. Be sure to save the little word pieces to fill in the letter loops (like the e, s, l, and y ).

I first die cut a white square with Stitched Mats-squares, then stamped the two Fancy Feathers. After the ink was dry, I went back to my die cut machine and cut out the word "seriously" .

I added another Fancy Feather, this time stamped on vellum and then used the die to cut it out. I stamped a sentiment from Fancy Feathers onto a Pinking Edge Sentiment Flag. I added more color with some Pretty Pink Posh sequins.

I was inspired by The Cutting Edge challenge no.5. So I'm linking that up HERE. Also, here is the inspiration photo for that challenge. I loved the negative space of the word "love" and the cluster of flowers around it.

Be sure to leave comments at each of the DT blogs....the more comments you leave, the better your chances to win one of 3 Lil' Inker Designs Gift certificate!

Here's a closer look at the graphic of the beautiful Sketched Floral I used today. I love that there are matching dies AND with the custom stitching LID is known for! Awesome!

I'll send you on your way......

Lil' Inker Designs July Release Day Two

Yay! it's finally time to share what I have cooked for the Lil' Inker Design July Release. I hope you enjoyed yesterday's post. That is one of my favorites of this release!   You can purchase all of the new stamps and dies NOW, and for the next two days the DT will be showing off all the great new products.

Hopefully you arrived here from Lea Lawson's blog. If not, you'll want to head on over to the LID Blog. Laura's got all the details there about the new release and the prizes you can win.
I have two cards today showing off the Dance in the Rain stamp set and a few of the other cool dies you can get NOW from LID.

I love the sentiment, and I gave it a dose of happy by stamping it in yellow ink. I added more rainbow colors with some Pretty Pink posh sequins. I  tucked in a sweet polka dotted Large Sun. Check out those clouds!! LOVE them. I know you will, too. They are Cut it Out Clouds & Accessories

I tucked in a small Sunshine die cut. One more must have die from this release is the Pinking Edge Sentiment Flags. Ahhhhh! that pinking edge just makes me happy!

I used another sentiment from Dance in the Rain. I really dig the font on these sentiments.

I used Stitched Mats-rectangle for my base and then stamped the sentiment onto the blue paper with gray ink. I muted the words with a Pinking Edge Sentiment Flag cut from vellum and decided to add the extra elements on top.

The first thing to point out is the cool rain die included in the Cut It Out Clouds & Accessories die set. It's such a great accent to add. I haven't seen anything like it before.

A duo of clouds with a fun lightning bolt all tied up with a touch of bakers twine.

I used another stamp from the new Angel Policy stamp set on the back. This one is just simple with only words. It's good to have options.

Thanks so much for stopping by today. Check back tomorrow for another chance to win. Be sure to leave comments at each of the DT blog....the more comments you leave, the better your chances to win one of 3 Lil' Inker Designs Gift certificate!

Here's a closer look at the Lil' Inker Desings new products I used on today's cards.

SugarPea Designs Sketch Challenge 8

**Please Scroll Down for my Lil' Inker Design July Release Post**

Soooo, I'm a little late. Rarely happens around here, but I got my dates mixed up. sorry! I do have a quick sample for you using the current SugarPea Designs Sketch. It's a good one, and I know you'll have some fun with it.

I made a simple birthday card using the adorable new Great Catch stamp set. While I love coloring these great stamps, they also look great on their own..

Here I kept the sweet little fishin' Raccoon neutral. Stamping him in gray in on some Grout Gray card stock. I did add some very light, subtle shading with a T1, R1, and G40  along the edges to make him pop a little. I did color up the fish and added some glitter.

I also stamped his arm and the fishing pole, cutting them out and piecing them on top of the original stamped image. I added a bit of thread to give a realistic look to his fishing line.

Here's a quick look at the sentiment. I stamped that in Hot Fudge ink

The rules are very simple…
  • Create a new card or project using the SugarSketch provided.
  • SugarPea Design stamps are NOT required to play along or to win but would be appreciated :)

Lil' Inker Designs July Release

Yay! it's finally time to share what I have cooked for the Lil' Inker Design July Release. Today is the day you can purchase all of the new stamps and dies. For the next three days the DT will be showing off all the great new products.
Hopefully you arrived here from Lea Lawson's blog. If not, you'll want to head on over to the LID Blog. Laura's got all the details there about the new release and the prizes you can win.

I have lots of cool things to show you the next few days.  I'm super excited to show you this first card. It's seriously awesome! I used the great new scripty Seriously Word Die. It pairs perfectly with the new Seriously Awesome stamp set. I stamped the "you rock" three time without re-inking inbetween to get that cool graduated color.

I am really diggin' anything rainbow lately. I easily created the multi-colored sentiment by cutting some strips of colored cardstock and glue them down onto to some white copy paper (cardstock was a bit too thick and I couldn't get a good clean cut on all my letters). Place the Seriously Word die over top and then run it through your die cut machine. Here you can see the cut word, and how it looked after I die cut it.

Check out the back of my card. I loooove that Laura is releasing this beauitful Angel Policy stamp. It's such a fun way to finish off your card and give credit to the products you are using.

Thanks so much for stopping by today. Check back tomorrow for another chance to win. Be sure to leave comments at each of the DT blog....the more comments you leave, the better your chances to win one of 3 Lil' Inker Designs Gift certificate!

Sweet Sunday Sketch 229-Hello Sunshine

It's a beautiful day for one of Karen's fantastic Sweet Sunday Sketches. I am happy to show off my card.

It started with the My Mind's Eye essential Blues paper pack. I love the navy hearts. I then pulled the rest of it together with some scraps sitting on my desk. I used all Lil' Inker Designs dies (psst......The July LID new release is TOMORROW!).  All links are listed below.

I cut the gorgeous "hello" from vellum using the Hello Word Die from LID. That adorable sun was created with the large Sun Die and I added a smiley face from Piece of Me. A scattering of Pretty Pink Posh sequins finish this off.

here is the sketch.

Come Play along: simply make a card with this layout and use the InLinkz button down at the very end of Karen's post to enter your card. The links will close on Friday at 10 PM (Mountain Time). Be sure to link directly to the blog post or gallery image which features your card. You may post a picture of the sketch on your blog, but please save the image to your computer first.
