MFTWSC138-Soccer Baby

Happy Hump Day! A new Wednesday Sketch will be posted later today from MFT. I used last week's sketch for my card today, WSC138.

I couldn't wait to get this card made. Our soccer family has added a new baby and I am soooo excited to get my baby fix. A family on Ry's soccer team had a baby girl this past weekend and I knew I wanted to incorporate a soccer ball  and the Baby Onesie into my design.

I dug through my stash and found this perfect sized ball (from I get a kick out of you-PI) and stamped it onto the pink Baby Onesie. I love this Die-namics. I also added a few words from the coordinating stamp set, Baby Onesie.

I used the tiny tags from Blueprints one, and just moved them to the bottom of my image panel. A pretty pink lemonade button gave it the right touch of girliness. I added a few tone one tone tiny polka dots from Washi Prints.

I added a few polka dots to the background, stamped in Sweet Tooth  ink directly to the Smoky Slate cs.

I really like the pink, yellow and grey color combo for a baby girl card. I think it gives it a modern twist.

I stamped the inside, too.

I used the same colors, and added the fun sentiment from Grand Greetings. Babies, really are wonderful news and such sweet blessings.

Have a great day.

Color Me Happy

This is how I felt all day today. Happy, Happy, Happy (yes, we've been watching some Duck Dynasty).

Kiddos are back at school, and I have three whole days to myself before I head back to work. I had a very productive day. I cleaned (even moved the couch to vacuum UNDER it-yuck!), did some laundry, ran 2 miles, did the dishes, watched an episode of Downton Abby (I'm in the middle of season 2 ♥), AND got a little crafty. Yep...jammed a lot in on my first day, and loved every minute of it.

While this turned out to be a clean and simple card, I wasn't all that clean creating it. I got my fingers rather messy with some paints.

I used the current Retro Sketch and right away I knew some colorful strips of paints would do  the trick for the paneled background. Plus I wanted to use another new-to-me Reverse Confetti stamp set, Dream in Color.

A cute die-cut butterfly (MFT Die-namics), stamped with a whole lotta dots and this card was done.

Keeping this short. I'm off to catch my boys getting off the bus. I hope I only see smiles, especially from my first grader after his first full day of school. I'm anxious to hear how lunch went.

hugs to you all!

Cruising By

Hello Saturday, my Crafty Peeps. I wasn't going to post today, I was planning on saving this cute card for Monday, but then I said naaaaaw! I'll make something else for Monday.

I have big plans for Monday. It's my firs official full day all to myself. All three of my kiddos will be back in school. It's a little bittersweet, though. My youngest is in first grade, Kindergarten is half day here, so  for the first time in 8 years (I think) I do not have to run a kid to preschool or rush back for a Kindergarten bus. It's another new phase of life and it always makes me a little weepy. I got emotional on Thursday when I walked him into his first grade class room. I have grown accustomed to having lunch with little people ;) I'll miss having him around in the afternoons. BUT......I am reeeeaaaallly looking forward to having those days to myself.

On to the card.

I created this one for N's best buddy. I thought these new Die-namics went perfectly with an older MFT stamp set, You Move Me. I added some fun elements that made this card come together quickly. Love how dies do that. The road and car are from World Traveler and Hit the Road Die-namics.

A few Flat Bottom Clouds were added  to complete my scene. I stamped the sentiment in Orange Fizz ink.

I even did up the inside, which I have been neglecting to do lately. A few stripes from Plaid Builder, and the number 7 was cut from the Big Numbers Die-namics and then I added some festive polka dots. Sentiments are from the Big Birthday Numbers stamp set. I love that the "Happy Birthday" fit perfectly in the balloon. I used a Copic multi-liner to draw in the string.

You can see all the products I used linked below. Thanks for stopping by today. Have a great weekend.

Unity Thursday-Angie Girl

Hello and Happy Thursday.
It's a crazy busy
one here
at the Henke House.
We are gearing up for school and
back to work (for me).

I was lucky to get some stampy time
yesterday to
color up this sweet new
Angie Girl
from
(and Angie Blom)

She's Angela.
For real!
yep, named after
our own Angela.

You can see all the new releases this week,

I added a sweet Fuse Green button
tied up with twine and layered
on a Sno Cone punched circle.

One of my favorite way to add sentients
is to cut them
apart,
layer them up,
and add them to the side
of the image.
I added a bit of distressing
and Antique Linen
distress ink
to the edges.

Check out the cool fishies.
I added a touch
for Stickles glitter to them.

It's a GREAT
day
to HOP.

Don’t forget to leave a comment
on all the participating blogs.

Three random comments
from various blogs (including this one)
