Today is the beloved Pure Innocence day. This month is no different.....it's full of lots of the cuties!  Here's this month's line up:  Pure Innocence - Snowboard Boy, Ski Girl, Stocking Girl, Chrysanthemum, Christmas Caroler, Holiday Hugs Snowman, Precious Little Lamb On a Star

I've got samples with the  Snowboard Boy. Love this adorable little guy.  He's all decked out and riding the hills thanks to a few strips of the wonky scallop border.  I cut those out of felt and added some glitter. Oh, yeah, there's a touch of the new icicle border and the sentiment done up on the file tab die-namic.

Here's a card with the caroler. She's so sweet and sentiments offer a great variety and choices for your holiday cards and gift giving. I did her up on the new oval dainty dot doily. As you can see it works perfectly with the dainty lace border...love that!
I rolled up one of the new loopey flowers in felt and gave it a holiday touch with a bell and some twine. there a bit of the leafy flourish to accent it, too.

Check out Kim's blog for the full list of teasers today.  Lots of sets and lots to see.

 Here's a look at the new die-namics.

Day 5....gettting close...MFT Teasers

We are getting closer to release night. A couple more days of teasers and these new MFT products can be yours. Are you in the know about this month's release???? Take a moment to find out what's going on......

Today is ALM day....other wise known as à la mode.  This line of stamps is so fun and CUTE! Who can resist the long and lean sweet ladies??? This month the sets are: Knit Happens, Disco Queen.

I was feeling a little groovy, so I went ahead and colored up the Disco Queen. I'm a closet 70's music lover and I've had the ABBA song, Dancing Queen,  playing in my head all month long thanks to this stamp set.
So I stamped my own disco queen! How cool is that peace sign???? It's another new die-namic and it coordinates with a few stamps from MFT.  Love that there are two sizes.

I used the smaller one (glitterfied it! with this micro fine glitter from MFT) and the larger one on the inside (the inside sentiment comes from one of my fave all occasion sentiment sets....More Essential sentiments). I thought the crown border was a nice fit....she is the disco queen after all! So I added a strip of that to the front of the card. You can also find the Clearly Sentimental label tucked behind my disco queen. It makes a great layer! Try it.

Check out Kim's blog for today's line up! See you back here tomorrow!

Today is a fun, fun day.....today you get to see our two die-namic stamp set combos.  You're gonna dig 'em, I know! The names of the sets are: Christmas Ornaments, Vintage Cameo Frame.  I know I say it every release, but seriously, I am a sucker for a stamp set with coordinating dies.  Then to know you can use the die-namic dies with or without the set, makes me feel like I'm getting more bang for my buck!

First up is my Christmas Ornaments card. This is a large set, with lots and lots of options for customizing your own ornaments, plus there are a lot of sentiments to choose from. The dies included with the set are soooo cute and fabulous! Options are endless.

I went with a more simple card, because I was dying to hang an ornament from the Branch with Leaf die-namic.  The ornament was die cut from spring moss paper and then I used some of the decorative stamps to give it style. I hung it from the branch with some silver twine and then added some Martha Stewart tinsel glitter to give it that frosty feel.

I continued that feeling along the bottom by adding a strip of icicle border.  This is a fun, fun die-namic and will be perfect in all my winter time creations!

The next card was a stretch for me.  I have to admit, I was a bit intimidated with this Vintage Cameo set. I wasn't even going to use it, but....... Sometimes you just need to sit and think a bit before it just comes to you. I'm sure now that you've seen what the rest of the DT has done with it (beautiful creations, I must say!) you won't have any problems seeing all the cool things you can do with this set.  Not to mention that CAMEOS are soooo HOT right now.  Who am I kidding, they're a classic. Enough of my babble.....I took the challenge and I'm very happy with how this turned out.  I took a masculine approach and came up with this card.

Papers are from Echo Park, aren't those mustaches just darling.......and I do LOVE, the frame from the Cameo Set.  It is a really cool die-namic.  I do want to tell you, I had to try a few different inks before I got a good, solid, full coverage stamped image.  The best ink for me was the Noir Pallette ink.  My beloved momento, that I use all the time for my coloring images was no good. See, there's a reason we have some many different ink choices. LOL!
Check out Kim's Blog for all the set reveals and DT list of teaser samples for  today.

Here's another look at the new die-namics I used on today's samples.

Oh, and one more thing you might want to know and will be excited about I'm sure......We are pleased to say that as of November 1st at 10 PM EST, *most* Die-namics will be available with or without the stamp set.  The Just My Type and Flower Silhouette Die-namics will not be available separately, since they are not meant as stand-alone dies.  Going forward, as long at the die works as a stand-alone, it will be available with the set, or without at release time. How cool is that???!!!

Today is sentiment day.  I love, yes, Puffy Heart, LOVE the line of MFT sentiments each month. I am never at a loss of words or sentiments thanks to the amazing Clearly Sentimental line up.

This month you get: Clearly Sentimental about Abundance, and Clearly Sentimental about Christmas.  CS about Abundance was last months triple scoop set and this month the Triple Scoop will be CS about Christmas.....that means it's FREE if you put enough goodies in your cart.   You can read about the Triple Scoop Details HERE.

This is one beautiful sentiment set.  I love that we now have the Clearly Sentimental Label die-namic that works so well with all the CS sets (and LOTS more MFT sets).  Think of all the holiday cards you can make quickly, by simply cutting a bunch of those frames, keeping your card layout the same and then just changing up the sentiments, thanks to this new set. Here's one I did.

I also added a few gorgeous, glitterfied snowflakes (I can't tell you how happy I was to use that snowflake trio die-namic again. See the pretty border along the bottom of my card???? That's a new die-namic, too. It's the crown border and it's another MUST HAVE!  Papers are new, Simple Stories, just in case you were wondering.  Aren't they pretty????

Here's another look at the new die-namics I used today!

Check out Kim's Blog for all the teaser posts for today, plus the full set reveals of the new CS set.

Today is a fun mix of product....how about a beautiful Inspired by Christmas set and a new sweet, sweet Fred Catches Some ZZZ's stamp  set-????

I have a Fred Bear card and he just might be my favorite.  I adore that sweet lil' mouse napping on Fred's back with his belly up! Ack!

I colored Fred up with copics and actually stamped the mouse a second time on scrap paper (well a piece of scrap x-press blending cs).  I colored him up and cut him out and pieced him on top of himself. I think it gave him a little x-trea dimension and a more life-like feel.
Today's card shows off the wonky scallops a lot better than yesterday's card. I actually used it for my sentiment.
I added a couple rows of zzz's to a Say What, speech bubble die-namic and tied up a some stone twine.
The extra sentiment I added to the inside of my card, just makes me giggle. It makes me think of some of my neighbors.  I think we say this to each other every spring.  Nothing like a little COLD weather to keep you in doors and not be so social. LOL!
I used the same papers on the inside as well as that fun wonky scallop border. Told you you'd be seeing LOTS more of it.

Kim's blog has the full peek of the sets being TEASED today.  Hop on over there to check it.

WSC43-Happy Birthday, Tim.

***please scroll down for my MFT teaser post***

So, Tim's birthday was almost a month ago.  I have been good and worked ahead on my WSC cards.  So, I've been saving this one. I LOVE that plaid paper by Oct. Afternoon and it was my starting point for this card. Well, that and the sketch.
I used the Tag You're it die-namic for the long skinny panel and a Just the Ticket for the circle. Love how you can mix things up with these sketches.
I used a few other die-namics, too: Stacking Stars and the open zig zag border to add some more pizzaz to my card. A button and some twine finish it off. Kim's got the full line up for today's sketch samples. See you back here tomorrow with more Teaser Time samples.

MFT Teaser Time.....Day 1

Welcome, Welcome! It's time to celebrate and get excited....It's the November kick off to the MFT Teaser Time posts. The fabulous November release will be on Nov. 1st!

Be in the know.....Here are the details about the upcoming release on November 1 at 10 PM EST:
  • You can attend the New Release Party on November 1st from 8-10 PM EST HERE in the MFT forum, where you can enjoy fun, games, and PRIZES!
  • The MFT release, including all new stamp sets and Die-namics, is on November 1 at 10 PM EST.  You'll find all the newest products HERE at release time.

Today we get to show off the beautiful new, WTG stamp set....Who's that Girl Gets Cozy with Cocoa....she sold out F.A.S.T. on VIP Night. If you missed out, don't fret....she can be yours along with all the other fabulous Brand Spankin' new products coming on Nov.1.
Since I did a holiday-ish card for the VIP new product tour, I changed gears a bit and used some non-holiday papers and colors and kept it to a general, winter theme card.
I used some gorgeous new Authentique papers (from their Free Bird line) and Jen's October ASFYTT to pull this one together. WTG is stamped on X-press blending cs and colored with copics. I cut her out and then mounted her up on an Open Scallop Doily.
I decided I need a tag, and while I adore all the die-namic tags available, I reeeee-ally wanted to use the mug from the stamp set. So, you can see I turned IT into a tag.
Inked up the words seperately and stamped them one, on top of the other to fit on the mug. I tied it on with some butter cream twine.
Wondering how I cut out that teeny tiny piece behind the handle???? I'll show you.....I punch a hole with a hole punch.
Then I slide my paper snips carefully in the hole and begin to trim. Turning the paper, not my scissors as I go. Slow and steady is the trick.
One more thing to point out....see that grey scallopy strip behind my image??? It's a new die-namic.
I guess this sketch wasn't the best to show it off, since most of it is hidden, but it's called Wonky Scallops border.  I cut two layers, off set them and added them to my card.
Here's a closer look at the new wonky scallop border......yep, guessed it, I LOVE it! Haven't met a scallop I didn't like.  And you'll be seeing more of this through out most of my teaser posts.

Off you go....continue to get excited....hop of over to Kim's Blog for the Full DT line up.

Oh, and be sure to give our newest DT member, Karen Giron, a GREAT BIG WELCOME!!!!  So happy she's here.

Apples for Teachers

This is a card I made last week. It was in my head and it had to come out. While looking through my die-namics, (do you ever do that....sift through a certain product you have, searching for some inspiration???) I saw the branch die-namic and right away thought about adding apples to it. Tis' the season after all....apple season that is. I used the rolled flower die-namic to make them.
Here's how....easy, peasy.

  1.  I use Fabric Adhesive. It holds the felt together nicely, adding a bit of stability.
  2. Die cut the rolled flowers. love the MFT felt, I used sour apple and cherry for my apples.
  3. Begin to roll. I use my angled craft tweezers to get it started, then slip it off the end to finish rolling.
  4. Stop rolling when you think your apples are the right size. I varied my sizes for each apple, so just stop when it looks good to you.
  5. Simply trim the felt, where you stopped rolling.
  6. Holding it together, add some of the fabric adhesive to the back side of the rolled apple and on the end of your felt, where you trimmed.  Let dry for a few minutes before handling.
  7. I cut some leaves with those included in the  Branch Die-namic with a darker green felt and made a stem with some fossil cardstock. Cut a skinny, short strip, angle it at one end and add a little distress ink to the edges.  Then adhere the stem to the leaf.
  8. Add more fabric adhesive to the back of the rolled apple to attach the stem and leaf.
  9. And here's the finished apple.  Make a few more and add them to your project.

I used some new October Afternoon papers, Sidewalk Chalk papers. Other MFT products I used are the Clearly Sentimental about Teaching stamp set. It is a great set to have in your stash for all your teacher thank-you needs! I stamped the sentiment on the bracket tab die-namic and also used the Perfect Bracket Edge for the long decorative panel. I seriously love how those two products work together.
