Day 2-MFT of Teasers

Cute, cute stuff yesterday, dontcha think??? There's plenty more to see and drool over. Today we get to tease you with a fun compliment to the Game Day Spinner Die duo, You Spin Me Additions, that was released last month and the Happy Thoughts set (last month's Triple Scoop set. So if you didn't earn it for FREE last month, you can put it in your cart this time). I did up a sweet card with Happy Thoughts and another new DIE-NAMICS die. I used some holiday papers by Echo Park in an non-holiday kind-of way. I just loved all the pink and reds and with a touch of olive....yum-O! So, back to the dies....see that cute little small open scallop at the top? Yep, that's the new one-Little Open Scallop.I also added a strip of the jumbo open scallop, so you could see the two in action together.
I'm a happy girl!!! I used the Framed Greetings die and stamp set to give my happy sentiment a perfect setting! Then tied it all up in a pretty pink bow! The Birthday Bash ribbons are soooo satiny and pretty! Oh, I almost forgot.....the button is a faux button, thanks to the button quartet die. Did I fool, ya? Love that I can make buttons match any project!

I did up this quick and fun Holiday card using the You Spin Me Additions set. There are so many fun, cute, and sassy sentiments and images....your possibilities with the spinner die are endless!!! Not only are there these great holiday images and sentiments (mine here says, Happy Holidays, it's hard to see in the photo), you'll find adorable Valentine hearts, birthday images and even a bag of coal! Wait till you see it all. The snowflakes were made from the cool, new snowflake die-namics from last month

MFT Teaser-Day 1

It's time again for another week of My Favorite Things teasers. The November Release is once again, filled to the brim with beautiful, fun, images and die-namics you'll just DIE for! Today is Wyatt and Emma day, plus we get to show off a very cool new banner with matching alphabet!

I've got Emma all done up in red with a super cute CAS layout. I couldn't resist adding in a warm FELT heart to go along with the sentiment. Isn't she a cutie?

Switching gears to a festive, little boy card. I'm here to tell you need this banner die (if you got the VIP kit this month, then you already know how fun this one is. ) Yeah, you might be thinking....ANOTHER banner die and alphabet set????? I was thinking the same thing, UNTIL I got my hands on it. It is sooo cute and small and is all one piece, so it's one crank through your die cut machine and you've got the cutest banner to work with. So, Yep...You NEED all the banner's MFT carries. They are each different, and unique and fit a perfect niche in your stamping collection. Plus, I'm an alphabet junkie and you NEED lots of different sized fonts and letters. Trust me! You won't be sorry. I attached glue to just the tops of the flags, and then bent them up a bit to give a little dimension here. Oh, and look at that cool star! It's a new die-namics die, too. You get 5 stars with this one die!!!!
I knew the uber cool, super hero PI boy would fit perfectly on the side of this card, and so does the row of stars from another die-namic die-star border. Can you see the dimension on my cute super hero? Did you see these in the MFT store??? ACK! They are called chip board and panel pop-outs. There are three different ones in the boutique to match some of the more recent PI cuties! Here's how they work.

  • stamp your PI on the white panel, color (I used copics on mine).

  • then mount the panel on the matching chipboard piece.
  • Wha-la! Instant dimension and fun chipboard accent for your project!

Be sure to stop by Kim's Blog around 11am EST. She'll have the full line up of teaser posts today. Here's a few other things you should know! Always LOTS going on during release week!

I used this sweet holiday PJ image from Give A Little, again and paired him up with some Echo Park dp. I also added some bits of scallop edges and the edge of the Polka dotted Framed Greetings die-namics. Also couldn't resist some red divine twine! thanks for stopping by. See you back here tomorrow.....MFT NOVEMBER SNEAK PEEKS BEGIN!!! ARE YOU EXCITED??? YOU SHOULD BE!

Hip Hop Flip Flop annnnnnd some BIG NEWS!!!

Unity is always shaking things up and always seems to have something exciting waiting in the wings! LOVE that! This week, we have our Hip Hop flip flop. We had so much fun last month, we decided to make it a monthly things. Soooo, today, the {ippity} DT is using Unity stamps and the Unity DT is using {ippity} stamps. We are also giving a theme to each week, and this week's Theme is Think Pink, Projects that Spread Hope and Inspiration. Pretty easy to do with Unity stamps. I did up a sweet little kraft bag with the awesome, Melody Ross sets, All Worth It and Love Life. If you hadn't noticed, on the new Unity website, a lot of the larger kits have been broken down and split in half, to make it more cost effective for everyone. You can find these two great kits at your LSS and online stores.
This is actually a giant tag and could easily be removed and used as a book mark, door hanger, or fridge art....at least that's what we hope for our paper creations, right ;) Here's a detailed shot. The flower is made with the MFT rolled rose die. This also fits Lori Craig's HYCCT Pink and Brown Challenge on SCS. Only a few more days to get your challenges completed.

and now for the BIG NEWS!!!! Unity and Jillibean Soup are now working together!!!! and
O.M. G. are these two stamp sets just the cutest thing EVER!!! I have been a big fan of Jillibean since their start and I couldn't be more excited about this!

Unity+Jillibean=♥

In honor of this new partnership, I've got some cute little tags to share. I mixed up all the images (there are 4 different sets being released) and combined them all to make these cute, cute tags. I packaged them up in Michelle Wooderson style. Love how she always uses these glassine bags. I stuck to the pink theme of this week's hop and paired it up with some olive and kraft! I couldn't resist using some of last year's Jillibean Holiday dp.

I might just have to keep these for myself, lol!

Maria is up next. I'll send you on your way....lots to see today, have FUN.

Two Challenges-Same Supplies-Two Cards

It's end of the soccer year, well, fall season anyway, and I needed a few "thanks coach" cards. I looooove this stamp from Stampin Bella-Jackson the Champion. I hadn't used my Bella stamps in a while so it was great to shuffle through them. I've got plans for a few of them to see ink, real soon.
Two of my favorite sketch challenges each week are by Karen Giron (she also has the cutest watermarks...see mine?) and Jen Del Muro. I print them and never seem to use them on time to link them up. This week I challenged myself to use both of them, and since I need two soccer cards, I decided to use the same supplies on both. This was so fun and made my card making process fast, since I already had the supplies out. AND, I've got two similar, but different cards to give to J's coaches.

First up is Jen's ASFYTT. There's a great prize up for grabs this week too. Did you see the cute stamp set and die by lil' inker??? I want to win! hehehe.
And now here's what I did with Karen's Sweet Sunday Sketch. Isn't my strip of grass just the perfect accent on this card? Love that die! It's the MFT die-namics Fresh Cut Grass die. Oh and my sentiment is PTI. One last thing....maybe you already know this, but some may not. When I want to make an embellishment or sentiment stick off the side of my card, I always trim down the width of my card. This one measures 3.75 inches. It allows for the card to still fit into a standard A2 envie.
Thanks for hanging with me today. See you back tomorrow for some Hip Hop fun.....and some BIG NEWS!!!!! Trust me, you'll be excited!

Starting Monday with Some CAS

Wow! it sure has been a long time since I've started my Monday with some CAS (clean and simple) stamping. Isn't it funny how life just happens and changes and without you even realizing it, routines change. Yep, that's what happened to me. There used to be a time when I started every Monday with the CAS challenge over on SCS. If you ever feel stuck on a Monday, kick start your mojo with this challenge. That's what I did yesterday.
This week the challenge was to use gingham or checks on your card. I guess I strayed a little and went with plaid instead. Paper is Cosmo Cricket, Mitten Weather. I inked up some Unity, too-Sept. KOTM2010. I almost held this for Friday and Friends with Flair, but decide, Nope! I wanted to share it now. Love this sweet little house and you can never have enough thankful sentiments! I used an SU scallop border punch to add the sweet trim to the top of the card. It will still fit perfectly in a standard A2 envie.
See you tomorrow. I've got some soccer cards and another challenge I made up all myself. It was
fun. Come back and see what I'm talking about.

Kelly is tricky, tricky! We like to do something special for the birhtday's of our team members and sweet, Ms. Kelly is our H{ippity} Hop Hostess this week......AND she gave theme of Birthday CARDS. Hey, she stole our idea ;) LOL! soooooo we have dedicated our birthday cards to Kelly today and did something sneaky of our own, yesterday. Did you check out the Sunday FAVES post yesterday???? We created a flower bouquet for Kelly. She's one of our fearless leaders and we knew both the flowers and our cards would still not be enough to say how much we appreciate what she does. Have a great birthday, Kelly! Make sure you stop by and tell her too! I made a flower and card to match.
The fun shape for my card, was created with the Silhouette. I cut the flowers with the Tim Holtz die-tattered florals and {ippity} stamps used are:

Bloom!

Phew....stamping time has been minimal all week. It's kind of scaring me how busy I am and how much it is cutting into my stamping time. I'm so used to getting a little crafty for at least a little bit each day. That hasn't been happening as of late. I do have to say, on the days I DO get some time, I am being very productive. Yesterday I whipped out 3 adorable cards (sorry, can't share them YET.....but good news is I'm doing a class with them in Dec. So stay tuned for more details!). I had every intention of then getting a challenge done for a post today, but well, that didn't happen.
Soooooo, lucky for me and maybe lucky for you, I've had this one in my stash for a while. It's full of MFT goodies.

Earth Girl Buttons (adoranments)
There you go! Enjoy the day, the weekend, and make sure you find some time to do something you love. Thanks for all your comments this week. I appreciate everyone who stops by. I love to hear from you.

A Thankful Hip Hop

Hello and happy Thursday! If you joined us last week for Unity & Ippity Hip Hop, then you know that we are shaking things up and giving each week a new theme. This week you'll see lots of inspriation by the DT showing our thankful side. I have been dying, to scrapbook (I think I've scared myself away from scrapbooking because of how far I've fallen behind. Then I decided to practice what I preach and NOT get caught up in that thinking, you know, worrying about being behind. SO....I pulled out some pics from my stack that have been staring at me since the end of 2008!).
With this week's theme, I knew I had to scrap the 3 greatest blessings in my life (okay, DH, makes 4, but he wasn't in this stack of photos-HA!). I am so thankful for these sweet, darling boys! They are growing fast and I want to hold onto these ages as long as I can. I pulled out two {ippity} sets-a Moment in Time and Fall for You.

The title, Thankful was cut with my Silhouette. EEEEEK! I can not tell you how excited I was to see this long, big, scripty word roll out of that machine. THIS is one of the reasons I wanted a Silhouette! So, I guess you could say there are lots of things about this page, I am thankful for-this wonderful DT I work for, the new toys I have acquired, and the sweet little boys in my life! I am truly BLESSED! Here's a close up of some details.

Speaking of Blessings and good fortune.....I've got a winner to announce. Thanks to all that played along with the Unity/ippity WCMD challenges! I had so much fun browsing the fabulous gallery for my Bling Challenge. Congrats Katrina Hunt (kathunt13)with this card.
Please send an email to Jimmi at this address: jimmi.mayo@gmail.com, with your info and prize (Faith Blooms stamp set!). Congrats, again!

Be a VIP this month with MFT!

Welcome back. It's time for the November My Favorite Things, VIP Blog Hop! Hopefully you just came from the newest Dirty Girl, Christina's blog. If not, then you'll want to hop on back to the start with Kim's blog. She'll have all the details about this month's VIP kit.

This month's kit ROCKS!!! It includes some of my favorite products-MFT stamps, Scor-tape, a die-namics die, AND some Crate Paper dp! WOW! This Kit is only available for 1 day! Don't miss out on getting the November WTG, two weeks early, PLUS you get an exclusive, never to be released again mini stamp set.
The kit is ONLY for ONE day, Oct.19-Oct.20 for $41.40
The MFT VIP Package includes:
Teacher's Pet WTG The upcoming Who's That Girl? set $17.95
Crate School Spirit Paper Pack $5.50
UNRELEASED Die-namics Die,MINI Banner Strip
with MINI Banner Day Alphabet Stamp Set $13.95
1/8" Scor-Tape Roll $4.00
Teacher's Pet Sentiments MINI stamp set (FREE & Exclusive. Will not be released outside of this VIP Kit. $9 value)
Lucky for me, I'm getting a jump on a little appreciation card for my son's substitute teacher. My first graders regular teacher went on maternity leave two weeks into the school year. His sub has been fabulous and I thought it was only fitting to send her off next month with a signed card from the class. I put my Silhouette to work to cut out this fun shape, and made the card a little larger than normal, so the kids would have room to write their names inside. I couldn't resist the notebook edge die-namic with this card, and a little MFT twill. Here's what the inside looks like. I layered up new Polka Dot Framed die-namics with an oval punch along with another apple and the notebook stamp (included in the set), AND another strip of the notebook die. I'm also excited to show you the sweet altered pencil I made. I used some MFT felt to make the sweetest rolled flower (thanks to the amazine die-namics die) and hand cut some leaves. I the attached it to my pencil with a hat pin, just stuck that right through the center of the flower. A visual would probably have been better, but I forgot to snap a picture of this process. I lined up the flower with the top of the pencil (I removed the eraser and metal part) and made sure the bottom of the pin rested along the side of the pencil. I then wrapped it with Score-tape. I was then able to cover that up with a piece of ribbon and added a pop of color with the bakers twine.

Alright, there you go! Thanks for all your kinds words. CINDY is up next. I know she'll have something fabulous for you!

MORE à la Mode Cuteness

I think Miss you A Latte is back in stock ;) ) Right now I've got a sneaky peeky of the other à la mode releasing tonight. This one is called What's Cooking? I was inspired by my Winter Mitten dp and the sweet rolled roseI had done up a few weeks ago. This sweet, sugary (thanks to Glitzy Glitter) purple rose has been sitting on my desk just waiting to make it onto a card. Today was the day. I also used the Jumbo Ric Rac die-namics die on this cutie.

Come on back tonight (10 pm EST) for the VIP Blog Hop and some shopping! Kim's got the full teaser line up on her blog. Check it out around 11 am EST.

à la Mode Teaser Time

Soooo, have you added any of these new cuties to your collection yet? What are you waiting for??? I am head over heals for these new stamps by MFT. They are called à la Modes and they are actually rubber stamps mounted on cling mount. This month there are 2 new ones joining the already adorable line up in the Boutique.
First up is called Must be Love. I used up a scrap of some pretty 7 gypsies dp I had in my scrap basket. Love that the lace was already on the dp. I kept the card fairly CAS and added a Heidi Swapp ghost heart (GASP!!! it was my last one!!!!) It was hard to part with it, but I knew it was perfect with this card. I also added a sweet scallop edge to the top with the small scallop die-namics die, and tied on a bit of princess ribbon in white.
