House Work Can't Kill?

OMG! I seriously can not stop cracking up at all the funny sentiments from the Domestic Goddess stamp set by There She Goes. Did you see it yet? Check it out. I made this card yesterday and couldn't wait to post it. In case you didn't know.....House work can't kill you, but why take the chance? Love it!!! Maybe that should be my motto? The layout was inspired by Karen's Sweet Sunday sketch-it's kind of there, but not really. I ended up using a new nestie die-labels 10 instead of the circle and my strips are a little wonky. I wanted to mention her challenge though-her sketches rock!
See that green polka dotted dp? Ummmmmm, it's my fave from the Fly a Kite pack by Oct. Afternoon. Can you tell I can't get enough of those papers???? You'll be seeing LOTS of it over the next weeks-be prepared!
alright....I'm checking out for a busy weekend of soccer, baseball, and stamping (A BIG release is coming up, wink, wink!!!) See you on Monday!

Happy Birthday Unity!!!!

Scroll down for the Limelight sketch and product challenge!

What a fabulous 2 years it's been! I am so proud, honored, and excited to part of this awesome stamp company. It's been fun to be a part of it's growth over the years. I've been a loyal customer, challenge player, Guest Designer, KOTM member, and now an Ippity DT member-WOW! I couldn't ask for anything more! One of the best things about Unity is whether you are on the DT, a Stamp Artist, or Customer-Angela always makes you feel part of their family. Love that! There is so much going on today, so I'll cut to the chase and share my creation with you. I used the awesome sketch Maria gave us on Monday. I'm a sucker for circles, so naturally I used it for this week's Hip Hop card. I ended up flipping it, I love how it gives a whole new take on the layout. I used lots of new on this card-new Oct. Afternoon dp (I'm in loooooove!!!), a new nestie (lable 13) and new woodgrain impression plate! The sentiment is from Love in Return by Ippity! I've got it for sale HERE! and you still have a chance to win it by playing along with the VSBN challenges by one of the Ippity DT members. Check that out here!

So I do have one more for you today, it was a last minute card that I just HAD to create. The super, awesome, trio-Jenn Balcer, Lori Craig (who I got to meet last week at my Copic Class...Hi, Lori!!!), and Beate Johns were asked to join the HIP HOP fun. They have a Triple Take Challenge for us.

  • Sketch
  • 4 different patterned papers
  • a Button or Bling Embellishment

Details are in the Unity forum. Come play along, it's soooo much fun!

Join us in the Unity Forum for fun, games, prizes, and chit chat!

Here's all the info on the Unity blog.

Limelight Sketch with Some Sparkle!

It's another busy, busy Thursday, but I hope you find time to join us for another round of Limelight Papercrafts sketch and product focus challenge. Here's the sketch to work with.
and here's what I did with it, using all new Jillibean Soup products!!! I'm in heaven, yes, heaven. There is just something about this paper I love. So..... I let is speak for itself.

I used the cute little bird house paper and cut out one of the birds, added some stickles glitter to it and mounted him on a red button. I decided last minute to distress the edges of the paper a bit...not sure if I like it, but oh, well. Adds character, right? LOL! The ribbon and flower are also Jillibean soup, seriously, check it all out.

Come Play along.....here's how:

**Use the sketch above and a focus on glitter or sparkle

**Key word for SCS upload is LLPC046

**Post a comment with a link to your card to Mandy's blog and the challenge post by Sunday, May2, at midnight (or before winner is drawn Monday a.m.)

**PRIZE: One lucky winner will receive a glitter prize pack containing a container of glitter, a package of sparkle fibers, and a stickles.

Sweet Little Millie

In the middle of all my DT work, I love when I can take a few moments to create, just to create. That's what I did with this sweet little card. I have a few MFT stamps that need to see ink and this was one of them. Seriously, sweet little Millie mouse was talking to me! LOL! Have you seen the new line up of characters at MFT??? This cutie pie mouse is only $5.50. It just jumped in my cart, I swear!!! I pieced her up with some Webster Pages dp and made my own little flower embellie (this one is much smaller than most I've been making!). The sketch is from Papercrafts-Go To Sketches! I love that eyelet lace, think I need to order more, I'm almost out! Paper, twine and button are all from Limelight Papercrafts.....I'll be back tomorrow with a challenge as well as the HUGE Unity Anniversary Party!!! Ippity gets to join in on the fun-how cool is that?!!! See you back here!

H{ippity} Hop! Flower time!

woohooo! Happy Monday! This week we are hopping with the {ippity} peeps like always! Be ready for some great eye candy! I was up for this week's IHHC21-3-D flowers! There are LOTS of ways to make these beauties and they are so fun to do. So grab some paper, some ribbon or some twill and create a fabulous 3-D flower to use on your card. In all fairness, you could also use a store bought flower, but it's more fun to make your own ;) Here's my card. I used some of the yummy My Mind's Eye dp from the Winter paper pack, and the only stamping on this card is the sentiment from Love in Return. Buy it HERE!My flower was made out of tea-dyed twill and a pretty pink button. The leaves are a piece of Ripe Avocado twill. Check out the {ippity} blog for a full list of those playing along in the hop. Join us in the Ippity forum over at SCS too, for some chit chat. thanks for stopping by!

Limelight and Card Patterns

This week Limelight is the proud sponsor for Card Patterns. How cool is that??? The Limelight DT was allowed to play along with the Card Patterns DT members and create samples with the sketch. You can read all about the challenge here. This is sketch.
and here is what I did for my card. I kept it very CAS and used another favorite Unity image that Mandy decided to pick up and stock in the store as a single-love that ! The sentiment is also Unity, from the Oct. Store Kit. The black crochet ribbon is also from Limelight. The flowers were water colored on watercolor paper with watercolor crayons and finished off with some Kaiser rhinestones.
Come play along for a chance at a prize. Details are on the Card Patterns blog.

FWF, Earth Day, and an old Fave!

Short and sweet today. I've been itching to play with Giggle Grove for some time now. It was my first Unity set ever, it was the first stamp set I was published with, and I still just adore it. After trying to come up with a super CAS card, I decided on the smaller version of these gorgeous tree images-itsy bitsy giggles. Plus, with Earth Day was yesterday, I wanted to do something to celebrate-a little late, but that's okay, right?!!! It's the thought that counts. Here's what I made.

Check out that black textured paper? It's part of the new Core'dination paper. This one is from the Jenni Bowlin line, love this stuff. It's textured, the core of the paper is colored, AND there are these sweet embossed patterns that you can sand off to reveal the core color. SO cool! I've got some by Jillibean Soup coming, too! Sentiment is from {ippity}, Simply Home.

head off to Angela's blog for the full FWF line up! Enjoy your weekend! I'm in Indy getting Copic certified as you read this!!! I couldn't be happier.

Hugs, Lisa

need some {ippity}? Order Here!

p.s. See my cute new watermarks??? I've been using them for a week or so now and love them. I ordered them from Karen Giron (no she isn't paying me to say this, I just love to pass on a good thing when I find it!). She has some really cute ones and they are super cheap!

There She Goes Day 3-Domestic Goddess!

I'm am loving this new set, Domestic Goddess! I can't stop thinking of all the different ways to piece up this beauty! AND the sentiments are just too, too funny and witty! Love how it all comes together.

Hopefully you just came from the super talented Jodi's blog. If not head back to the start and get all the details at the TSG blog.

If you can't tell I had TAGS on the brain this week as I created for this release. After the Tag You're it challenge on Monday, I had the brilliant idea to make a door hanging tag for my family! They probably won't see the humor in it, but I plan on hanging this tag off of a door knob whenever someone decides to be a little too messy or demanding of my domestic goddess skills! LOL! I uses this quote A LOT, so it was a no brainer to me to use it here. Color combo is Hawaiian shore, enchanted evening and some chocolate brown. Since I have a house full of boys, I kept it on the masculine side.
What till you see what you can do with this set-I'm so excited to play around with this more. You can purchase this set on Sat. 4/24!
You have a chance to win this set! Be sure to leave a comment at all the DT blogs. Then head back to the TSG blog to link up your info.
Off you go now, to Mercy's blog!
Don't forget to join us in the TSG forum for a little chit chat, fun, and of course SHOPPING! The new sets go on sale 4/24!

Sneak Peek Day 2-TSG and What's up Buttercup?

There She Goes sure know how to do flowers-WOW! I'm amazed every time I see a new set. This month Jessica has added Buttercups to the mix. The images are beautiful! If you have been hopping along, then you hopefully just came from Kim's blog. If you are just getting started be sure to start at the beginning. Full details are on the TSG blog.

I was totally inspired by my piece of fabric for this card. I loved the yellow, purple, and blue combo. I stamped the largest flower image from this new set, What's Up Buttercup?, colored with copics and added some sparkle with stickles. You can purchase this set on Saturday, 4/24!

You have a chance to win this stamp set. Be sure to leave comments at all the DT blogs that are participating, then head back to the TSG blog and add your info to Mr. Linky!

Next up is Mercy!

Come back tomorrow for another sneak peek! This one you don't want to miss!

There She Goes-It's release week!

Yeah!!! it's time again for another fabulous There She Goes stamp release.
This month Jessica has 3 new stamp sets and boy are they great! Today is sneak peak day 1! We have a super cute set full of LOTS of images that all work together, can stand alone, AND even coordinate with many TSG sets you may already own!!! It's called Daily Grind! You can purchase it on 4/24! I hope you just came from Jodi's blog. If not head back to the start of the hop.

I used this adorable sentiment to make a tag as my focal point on the card. I've had these jump rings in my stash for a little while now and have been wanting to use them-so I made a little tag. The dp is by Cosmo Cricket-love that plaid. I pieced the muffin with some of it and colored the top with copics. I even did up the inside with another larger punched heart and two smaller muffin images.

You have a chance to win this set. Be sure to hop on through ALL of the DT blogs that are participating, leave a comment and head back to the TSG blog and add your name to Mr. Linky. Full details of the contest are on the TSG blog.

Now head on over to the sweet and talented Mercy.

See you back here tomorrow for another new set sneak peek!

Ippity, Scallops, and Birthday wishes!

First Things first....Happy Birthday sweet, sweet Eva! Yesterday was her birthday and not only did we surround her with love on the {ippity} blog yesterday, we also decided to dedicate this week's H{ippity} Hop to her as well. The DT all has a birthday card for Eva.

I sat down last week and make this card just for her with some of my new Webster's Pages dp (hope your not sick of them, cuz you'll be seeing lots more of them!) AND I actually got it out in the mail, probably a day late, but Eva, you should have it in person any day now! Hope your birthday was the best!

I added some of my tea-dyed twill, a pretty scalloped edge just for this week's H{ippity} Hop Challenge-use keyword IHHC20 when uploading to SCS. I combined a few of the awesome Ippity stamps-Regal Greetings,

and Just Wanted to Say

. These sets are so versatile! Oh, wait, I also used the little flag from Love in Return.

do you want any of these sets???? I've got them all! HERE Order today and I'll include a surprise in your package. Stop by the Ippity blog for the full list of H{ippity} Hop Participants!
Hugs, Lisa

There She Goes-Tag You're It!

It's another Monday challenge with There She Goes Stamps. This week's challenge is to make a tag either for a gift bag or for a card front, but you have to use stitching somewhere on the tag. I know, I know, I couldn't help myself-I used more Webster's Pages papers.

The stamp set is Dance by TSG-it's awesome, full of gorgeous flowers and this beautiful quote. I added an apron lace punched border, some real lace, and a few buttons along with a cut out flower from the stamp set. Come play along, upload your card to Mr. Linky on the TSG blog for a chance to win a $5 gift certificate and maybe be in the spotlight on a Thursday post! Check back for my H{ippity} Hop post! FWF and Enjoying the Ride!

OMG!!!! Yesterday was soooo incredible and I'm just enjoying the ride. Thank-you all for the sweetest messages and comments and emails. I have been busting at the seams to tell you all this HUGE secret. Becoming a part of the Dirty Dozen is something I never thought would ever happen to me. I am so grateful for all the opportunities this hobby/craft/passion of mine has given me! Thanks to all of you, my faithful readers and friends. My life is truly blessed!

Okay, so in preparation for this fantastic week, I worked waaaay ahead and made this card last week. I finally have a day I can share it with you. This is one of those cards that got in my head and I just had to create it! I'm in love with this lady bug and all the polka dots! I used 4 different stamps from the Unity March KOTM! Isn't it fabulous how they all work together so well? The polka dotted dp is Jillibean Soup Staples in black, and my red gingham ribbon was screaming to be used-it's MFT perfect plaid ribbon. Oh, and the lady bug is pieced with a little bit of Report Card by Oct. Afternoon!
There you go! Hope it makes you smile. Lord, knows I'm smiling today! Thanks! Hugs, Lisa

Post no2.-Hip Hop with Ippity and Unity

I have to say that I'm officially in love with all things Vintage and Shabby Chic. It is totally unexpected of me, AND I love how it turned out. A vintage, girly, baby card-who wouldn't guessed. I used this week's Hip Hop sketch and the wonderful {ippity} set, Moon Beams and Heart Strings. Do you want it? Buy it HERE!
Speaking of being in LOVE with vintage.....OMG!

These papers and embellishments that had me at Hello! Have you seen the new Webster's pages???? That's what I used here! Along with some lace, eyelet lace, and my own tea-dyed twill! I have to make more of this, it is soooo fun and adds the right accent to any vintage project. Check out how I did it on the {ippity} blog. Oh, and while you're there, be sure to leave a message and welcome our newest DT members. A big shout out to Lisa and karen! Michelle announced it yesterday!

Post no.1- it is a busy week!

It's time for another round of the Limelight Sketch and Product challenge. This week we are playing with Alphabets and this sketch. I had to have this chipboard alpha by Cosmo Cricket, and I hadn't used them until today-hence the fall card. They just matched the Nutmeg dp, so that's how this came to be-a fall card in the middle of Spring. LOL!

I finished the card off with some Jillibean bean stalks, used backwards to show the plain twill and a pretty brown bow from the brown burlap string! If you can't tell, I LOVE this stuff AND how can you beat $.35 for 10 yards!!!! Looks like the brown is out of stock, but Mandy has it in 4 other colors.

Okay, so come play along! Here's what you need to know:

**Use the sketch above and a focus on rhinestones

**Key word for SCS upload is LLPC045

**Post a comment with a link to your card to Mandy's blog and the challenge post by Sunday, April 18, at midnight (or before winner is drawn Monday a.m.)

I'm in the spotlight this week over at There She Goes! Jessica sure knows how to treat her DT members-it's such a nice tribute. This week I also get to post a Trendsetter Trends post and a Dollar Find Friday post (so check back on Friday, also). Today, I posted a little how-to on making a Patchwork (similar to the quick one I did for Limelight Papercrafts here a few months back). Here's the card I made for the tutorial. I used one of my FAVE TSG sets, Aim for the Clouds-love those hot air balloons. I stamped the sentiment on twill tape by SU! Designer paper is by Cosmo Cricket, it's Garden Variety. Thanks for stopping by! I can't wait for tomorrow-it's a fun with Hip Hop and LOTS more! Hugs, Lisa

Punkin' Faces!

I've got a bunch of FALL 2008 pages completed-they're the ones I finished out at our Lake House for the scrapping overnight I did last month with some friends. Here's one of Nicholas just making the cutest faces over the pumpkin carving-he just wasn't sure of all that gooey stuff inside. Layout comes from one of my Scraps Ect. magazines. Papers are Stampin' up! And then I decided to share 1 more today, since it uses the same dp and it's another Halloween page. Here's my Star Wars gang, plus one-the neighbor kid, Joshua's best friend. We had 2 Obi Won's, 1 storm trooper, and a baby Yoda. Short and Sweet today! Hugs, Lisa

(I guess technically, my card does count as a money holder. I wrap my ribbon all the way around my card base, and it makes a great place to tuck in a gift card or money!) Be sure to upload to SCS using keyword: IHHC19 for a chance to win a prize. I do have a card for you, though! I used my favorite-Where YOu Should Be. I just got a new batch of these stamps in stock-soooooo if you have held off long enough and today is the day to order, you can do so HERE! So here's my card, using a version of one of Karen's Sweet Sunday Sketches from a few weeks back. I love her sketches, I've got a ton printed off and have slowly been working through them! TSG and Little Pleating Challenge!

Happy Monday! Did your weekend just fly by or what??? Mine just did, but it was lots of fun, full of great weather, soccer, friends, and laughs! Love weekends like that. Plus, I wasn't dreading this Monday so much, since it is the kick-off to a fabulous week for me. LOTS going on, starting with this TSG post. It's my week in the Trendsetter's spotlight on the There She Goes blog! I love that Jessica does this for her DT members-I love learning more about my fellow crafters. Since it was my week, I got to pick the challenge over there. Since I've been loving pleating paper and ribbon lately, I decided to challenge you all to give it a try! I posted a quick tutorial last month, HERE and Heather just did one last week HERE on the TSG blog. So you have no excuses-PLUS you can win a prize!!!! Here's my card using the so cool, Chemistry set! I just got it and I LOVE it!
I'm also in love with this Kioshi papers by Basic Grey. I paired them up with kraft and avocado to give it a more masculine feel. I felt they kind of toned down the purples in the papers, making it perfect for me to give this card to my DH. Even though I may not always show it, with our crazy busy life-I am truly stir crazy for that man and don't' know what I would do without him!

To be eligible for the giveaway, you are to create a card that uses pleats (either with paper or ribbon), then come back to the TSG Blog to add your name and a link to your project in the Mr. Linky that is located at the bottom of this challenge post. This challenge is open until the winner has been announced on the following Monday (April 19). The winner will receive a $5 gift certificate to use in the TSG Web store!

By participating in this challenge, you may also find yourself in the Trendsetting Spotlight that shines on the TSG Blog every Thursday. I will be on the look out to find challenge cards that stand out and show Trendsetting qualities. TSG stamps are not required to participate in the challenges but are appreciated :)

You do not need to have a blog to be able to participate in the TSG Challenges! You can simply add the URL link from your project after it has been uploaded to your online craft gallery. If you upload your card to an online craft gallery, please use the keyword TSG50 so we can check out your beautiful work!
Be sure to check back all week on the TSG blog-I've got more treats along the way this week. Oh, yeah and I'll have a H{ippity} Hop card later today, well, quite soon, actually. See you in a bit! Hugs, Lisa

FWF-Like No Other!

Looks to be another great Spring weather weekend here in Cinci! Which is great since it is the kick off of the Spring Soccer season for the boys. I can't wait for their game tomorrow, my two oldest boys are finally playing on the same soccer team. They are both pretty good, so it should make for a fun game. Of course I have to squeeze in some stamping time, next week is a BUS Y week. I'll have lots of posts and lots of excitement, you won't want to miss.
Here's my card for this week's Friends With Flair post. I hadn't played in a few weeks, and my March KOTM sat un-inked on my floor. Here's what I did.A kraft cardbase, and some Jillibean Soup staples in Pink Sugar and this card just happened. The flower and fence image are colored with copics (did I tell you? I'm finally getting Copic certified??? woohoo! Crystal and I are driving up the Indianapolis next Friday and we will be taught by the amazing Lori Craig!!! I'm so excited to meet her!). I finished the sentiment off with a button and some purple burlap string from Limelight. Be sure to check out this week's specials.
So, off you go, spend another day viewing wonderful Unity inspiration. Full FWF listing is HERE on Angela's blog. Hugs, Lisa

Hello, hello! So glad you are stopping by again today. It's another day of Hip Hop fun, {ippity} and Unity style! Wooohoooo! This week I decided to use the awesome sketch for this week's challenge (Use keyword: HHSC02 when you upload to SCS!)Those scallops were just calling my name, not to mention the fun, long, skinny card size! I was dying to finally use this tree image from What Matters Most, so I had to flip the sketch to make it work!

Ahhhh, sweet beautiful Spring. It's a wonderful sight in my neighborhood with all the trees in bloom. I colored this tree with copics and made a fun flower embellie with the Dear Lizzi dp. Hey, check out that white/green polka dotted strip....it's the awesome coordinating FABRIC PAPER from the same line. My sweet, dear, friend Becky sent me a little package of goodies and this was in it! I'm so lucky!!!

So do you want that tree? or how about the sentiment (it's from Sweet Thoughts of Spring)? Both sets are fabulous and I've got them in stock.....Place an Order HERE!

Okay, now HOp on Over to my fellow DT member, Maria, for her FABULOUS creation!!!
