It's Six Chicks Sketch Challenge Time

Come on over to the Limelight Paper crafts to play along. This week our sketch is brought to you by the oh-so-talented Lee Murphy and the product focus is on bling baby! Not just any bling, but, pink bling! Pretty In Pink… The Pink Panther... Other than being movies, what else do they have in common? How about the color pink!?! This week at Limelight Papercrafts we are focusing on all things pink… with one exception… it must sparkle, shimmer or shine! We want to see your pink bling!!! Stickles, Shimmerz, Kaisercraft Rhinestones, sparkle fibers… You name it, Limelight carries it and we want you to use it! Don’t have any that we carry? Use the bling you have, just make sure it’s pink! We can’t wait to see what you come up with! Here's what I did. I'll add another picture below so you see my pink bling. When I sat down to work on this card I found out I had no pink bing! Limelight does, so be sure to check it out. I had to get creative. I used shimmerz on all the pink polka dot paper (that dp is by October Afternoon. I'm in love, let me tell ya!) and on the hearts of Nigel's (he's the cute little owl stamp by Odd Bird Planet)belly. I also used my Basic Grey Bittersweet brads and glitzed (I love how we crafters come up with some of the coolest words, lol!) them up with my irridescent ice embossing powder. See, I was being good and used what I had. I pulled out my Janome sew mini and threaded up my white bobbin and got some stitching done on my card. The sentiment is from the beautiful stamp, Love & Meaning by unity (stop by on the 6th to see my project made with that one!). I just inked up the script Love with a marker and stamped it on my oval (actually I always stamp first then punch! it's much easier this way). Wanna play along for a chance to win a prize? Here's what you need to do:
* Sketch and Product Challenge with a focus on using pink bling!
* Uploads to SCS should have the keyword: LLPC014.
* Participants should post a comment and a link to their card to Mandy's blog.
* All entries must be submitted by Sunday, February 8th , at midnight to be eligible win a jar of Shimmerz and package of rhinestones of the winning designer's choice!
See what the rest of the DT did:
Becky, Ryann, Lee, Lorie, Jen Marie, and our two guest designers the month-Jennifer and Kristen.
There is another way to try and win some goodies from Limelight. Today Limelight is hosting the Dutch Dare Card challenge. You are to make a Valentine's Day card without using traditional Valentine colors. So that means NO pinks or reds! Have fun and play along for a chance to win The Delectable Delights stamp set by Unity and a some Raspberry Pixi glitter! Be sure to link these challenge cards to the Dutch Dare Blog!
