SugarPea Designs-Sugar Sketch 47

This month has flown by! It is my last Sugar Sketch with the SPD crew. I am so grateful for the chance to design with these amazing stamps and dies. Today's card is my thank-you to Wendy and the SugarPea Design team for having me.

The Thanks Sugar Cut is so fun to work with. I cut it three times and layered them together for thickness.  I added it to a custom stamped panel with an argyle from Spare Me

I accented it with some stars and the pierced flag from the Gift Tag Sugar Cut. If you are looking for more ways to use that tag die set, be sure to check out all my cards for the March Sketches. I  used it on each card and in a different way. Love stretching my products that way.

Here is this week's sketch.

Color Throwdown 386-Effortless

Hello Wednesday! I'm so glad you are here with me today. It's my turn to host this week's Color Throwdown Challenge. I chose teal, lime green, and white. I love how fresh and fun this combo is.

I created this water colored beauty for you today. I loooove these flowers from Concord & 9th. I picked up the Wild Flower stamp set and By Your Side sentiments from Butterfly Reflections last month. I used my Zig Clean Color markers to quickly add color to my flowers. I stamped the sentiment in gray ink and then cut the watercolored panel with the Silly Stitched Die by Lil' Inker Designs.

For more inspiration, check out the other design team members' creations below, and get inky! We can't wait to see what you create with these new colors.

CASology 191-washi butterfly

I was scrolling through Instagram today and came across the current CASology challenge. Here is the cue word for this week.

I was inspired to pull out my washi tape collection and create some unique, pretty butterflies with the  Butterfly Wishes Confetti Cuts by Reverse Confetti. I simply laid down about 5 strips of washi tape in the different designs on some white card stock.  I then added my dies to the top and ran it through my die cut machine. I tied on some solid Lilac Twine. love that stuff!

Keeping it clean and simple, I used a handful of RC dies. I love the teeny hearts in the background. I cut two of the Double Panel Hearts in white and backed with grey and adhered them next to each other. On top of that I layered the Class Act solid rectangle in Berrylicious and then topped it with the Bold Line Pretty Panel. I stamped the "hello" from the Whole Lotta Love stamp set.I finished the card off with a couple rounded corners on the card base.

Thanks for stopping by today! I always love to see what you have to say.
 Check back tomorrow,
It's a two post Wednesday!

SugarPea Designs Sugar Sketch 46-Shell-ebrate

The month is just flying by. It's another Wednesday and that means I have another card for you all using the current SugarPea Designs Sugar Sketch. Thankfully there are 5 Wednesdays in March, so I get to hang with you one more week after this. Here is my card for this week. I used the sweet little crab stamp from SeaSide Wishes.

Following the sketch, I used the Gift Tag Sugar Cut. I love the rounded edges of this tag. I used the fishtail flags, snipped in half to follow the sketch. I also added a strip of washi tape for an additional accent. I love diagonal stripes.

Here is the sketch for this week.

Color Throwdow 385-beautiful day

Hi everyone!  Happy Wednesday!  Jodi is our hostess this week with a brand new color combination that I just love!

Remember, we are using generic colors, so as long as you using the color values shown, teal, aqua and gold, you are good to go!  The color police won't come after you! Just have fun!  Please feel free to incorporate any other neutrals you need in your design.  If you upload to a public gallery, please use the key words CTD385, and please use #ctd384 and #colorthrowdown on social media sites!  Also, when linking up your card using the linky tool at the bottom of the post, please link to your specific post, not a generic link to your blog.  All of the "rules" are in the right sidebar, so check them out to be sure!  For more inspiration, check out the other design team members' creations below, and get play along with us!  We cannot wait to see what you come up with this week!

I used the gorgeous Rose Garden stamps from Reverse Confetti. I started with an aqua water colored background and then used some gold ink to add in the outline of the roses. This was such a hard card to photograph and the photos just don't do it justice.

I then used one of the solid rose images and inked it up with some Summer Splash ink and then tucked in some of the leaf images from the same set. I used the Rose Garden Confetti Cuts to cut them out.  I inked up the sentiment in gold ink onto a Tropical Teal strip of card stock. I then tucked in the small scalloped edge from the Double Scallop Border also in gold. I finished off the card with a scattering of sequins.

For more inspiration, check out the other design team members' creations below, and get inky! We can't wait to see what you create with these new colors.
