TE-coffee makes us awesome

I had this card featured over on the Taylored Expressions Blog this past week. I have been having a blast creating with all of her beautiful products.

I love coffee. I love the how it tastes, I love how it smells, and recently I discovered iced coffee. It is so easy to make at home. Thanks to The Pioneer Woman, I have been keeping this in my fridge this summer. Try it; you'll love it! To celebrate the joy of coffee, I decided to combine coffee and rainbows -- what's not to love?

I used the striped pattern from the Rainbow Brights 6x6 Paper Pack. I cut out a large circle from the center and cut another smaller circle from white cardstock to nest inside and be the centerpiece of my card. I used foam tape to pop up the whole Rainbow paper panel.

I stamped the large sentiment from Hug in a Mug. I love that there are a few options to place in that empty space. I used the "makes us awesome" and used my MISTI to ensure perfect placement.

I stamped one of the mugs and used my Copics to color it up. I did some easy fussy cutting and then popped it up above my sentiment. I used a circle punch to add a hole to the handle and tied on a yellow twine bow. Some enamel dots finished off the embellishments.

Head on over to the TE Blog for more inspiration. The new release is right around the corner!

You Mean the World to Me

Phew...what a whirl wind couple of weeks with amazing new products from the companies I love. Don't get me wrong....I'm not complaing. I truly enjoy designing for the teams I do and know I am blessed and lucky to be a part of them. It was time take a breather though and create something, just because.

I pulled out some Reverse Confetti stamps and dies and got busy with this week's Mojo Monday sketch. I love tall & skinny. My card measures 3.75 x 5.5.

I used a sentiment from My World and stamped it in grey ink onto a Weather or Dot (& Stripes) Quick card Panel. These cards are awesome and really do make for some simple card designs. Remember they are limited edition and once they sell out....they are gone.
Following the sketch, I cut a small circle from Circles 'n scallops and added the "xoxo" die cut (layered up 3 of them for added dimension) from Fancy Word Confetti Cuts. I also tucked in a tiny heart from Love Note. Gosh, I love that die set.

Thanks for stopping by today. I'll see you back here soon.

TCP Release Day Blog Hop!!!

It's finally time and we are so excited! The July TCP Release is happening NOW! Thanks for hanging with us all week long for all the teasers with the Kitty Cats. You can now shop for all the fabulous products. You should have arrived from Christine's blog. If not, be sure to start over at the TCP Blog so you don't miss out  on any of the fun.

I love the new Seas the Birthday stamp set. Those sea creatures are just the best! I created a extra fun, interactive card with a shaker on the outside and a pop up on the inside.  I created the shaker with my favorite Framed Up 2 dies. I added some "bubbles" to my vellum and then used the Waves border cut up along the top. If you couldn't tell from all my posts....you need the waves! so great!

Now for the fun inside of the card. The Long Tall Pop-up Cut up is too fun and really easy to use.  I added the octopus and more water colored waves and stamped a sentiment from Simply Stacked Sentiments along the bottom. What a nice surprise for someone when they open the card!

Here is a side view of all the mechanisms of the Long Tall Pop-up Cut up

It's also time for the Summer Blog Hop...that means you make a summer themed card and link it up over on the TCP Blog.

Thanks for stopping by today and for all your kind words all week long. Now I will send you on your way to the oh-so-talented Wendy Bond. Her blog is up next.

Have a great day!

Final Day Sneaky Peek

It's the final day of Sneaky Peek Week with The Cat's Pajamas. Tonight is our PJ Party over on the Facebook Page. Tomorrow is the big day.....it's RELEASE DAY!

Today is my turn to show off the adorable County Fair Cut ups in it's full glory. I have used it a few times over the past week, but never with the pretty flags. I love that is has the separate flag pieces so you can customize the flags with any of your favorite colors and patterns.

I kept my card simple by just stamping a sentiment from Simply Stacked Sentiments. I created a rounded note card piece with the Toppers Cut ups. I love that notebook edge. Some Devine Twine in green finished this one up.

Here's a closer look at the new products I used today.

See you over at the PJ party tonight!

Day 6 TCP Sneak Peek and Sweet Sunday Sketch

Sneaky Peek Week continues with  The Cat's Pajamas. Today's bun is going surfing! The set is called Stoked! I colored him up with Copics and cut him out.

I had fun with vellum and waves again. That circle is from Framed Up 2, it was a perfect fit for the sketch I used. I added the sentiment from Stoked  in orange ink and added it onto a simple white card stock strip.

This is also my sample for this week's Sweet Sunday Sketch. I loved this one and had fun with the sufer Bun and waves.

You can see all the samples with this sketch over on the Sweet Sunday Sketch Blog
You'll find the link up over that too!

TCP Sneaky Peeks day 5

We are getting closer to release day. It's day 5 of Sneaky Peek Week with The Cat's Pajamas and today we are sharing projects with the amazing new Simply Stacked Sentiments. I am so happy to have this set. I LOVE the smaller all occasion sentiment set, Simply Said and I have been hoping Alma would add a larger version of it. This did not disappoint.
I paired it up with a whole bunch of the new cut ups. I used the bottom portion that was left over from the water colored panel I used on my Lemonade card to cut out the letter balloons from Birthday Balloons Cut Ups. These are just the cutest dies....and I love that from the words " happy birthday" you can create so many other smaller words. I pulled out these letters to make a baby balloon bouquet.

I used the new He Said, She Said dies (these are FREE with a qualifying $65 order) and made a layered cloud look again. I love that. I wanted the balloons to look like they were floating int he sky.

After I stamped my sentiment from Simply Stacked Sentiments I decided I needed just another something for my card. I settled on the sweet sun from County Fair

Day 3-Lil' Inker Designs July Release

**Please Scroll Down for my TCP SNEAKY PEEK Post**

The July Release from LID is here and the products are amazing! I love it all! You should have arrived from Jen Carter's Blog. If not, be sure to start over on the LID Blog for all the release details. You could win one of 3 LID gift Certificates, just by leaving comments!

Let's start today off with some cuteness!  The snails are HERE!!! I love this little guy. The stamp set is called Snailed It (omg....how cute is that name??!!), and of course Laura was smart and added a matching Snailed it die set.

I created a hilly scene with the Stitched Mats-Circles and Border Builder dies. I stamped some clouds and a sun from the Snailed It Stamp set, to complete my scene. The sentiment was stamped on a white card stock strip in orange ink.

Before you move on to my next card, I have to mention the background. ACK! Laura hit it out of the park with this one (again!). It's a super cool, Stitched Woodgrain Cover Plate. I love it!

So yesterday I talked about the stitched flower die from Quilted Flowers. Today I get to show you how you can assemble these beauties to make some beautiful outline images with the die.

I cut the outline die twice, once from a darker blue and another from a light blue card stock. I cut it once more with some green card stock and cut out the leaves. I then simply layered the leaf over top of the blue pieces. I then used the solid flower piece from Quilted Flowers and cut 2 from white card stock and layered it behind each of my blue flowers. This allowed for me to over lap the finished flowers without the other one showing through.

The sentiment is from Greetings & Salutations and so are the sweet little hearts. I stamped a few here and there along with a scattering of sequins. The card base of my card was covered with some of my favorite designer papers. This is the Ombre Stripes

Take a look at the products I used today.
You can find them in the LID store NOW!
