Pagemaps and The Lake

hello to the last day of February. Come on Spring.....I am soooo ready for some sunshine and warmth. Especially since soccer practices are starting next week. Brrrrr! I am hopeful and was channeling the sunshine with this 12x12 layout of some family, summer fun.
I love the Pagemaps site. I clicked on the Feb.Maps tab  yesterday and all the sketches from the whole month are right there. made it quick to pick which one to use. I went with the first one.
Of course I used lots of MFT products to pull my page together. I have almost made my way through the last stack of Instagram photos I had printed a few months back. I have a goal to finish those before ordering my next batch. I am getting antsy, so I got busy.

I used a mix of papers from Echo Park, Studio Calico, and MFT card stock (gumdrop green, black licorice, whip cream, and orange fizz).  The page base is SU, textured whisper white.

I love the Insert Die-namics. I cut some  whip cream from the Notebook Paper,  and the original Insert it, and the small square pictures are cut from the Instaframe Die-namics

That Notebook Paper piece was then stamped with the Journal It-Library Card stamp set and I added some funky arrows from Right This Way. I used it as a journaling block.

I added a strip of the Double Dot Border and added a fun banner cut with the smallest piece from the Jumbo Fishtail Banner Stax Die-namics.

The title was stamped with the Typewriter Alphabet and layered up with my favorite Circle Stax.

I wanted an matching notebook edge on one of the Insert It pieces, and I wanted it along the bottom of the piece. So the Notebook Edge Die-namics was perfect. Love that I can add that detail in any direction.  I used that grey floral piece as another journaling spot.

There is also a Accent it-labels and tabs cut with Gumdrop Green card stock. I then added the stamp from Right This Way.

I added a mini  File tab (from Mini Tabs Foursome) and a few custom buttons from Button Border accent another photo.

Just so you don't have to scroll up, here is another look at the completed page.

Thanks for stopping by today. I've been busy creating, so lots to share coming up. The MFT March Teasers start next week. I can't wait :)

WSC113-Easter Blessings

Happy Easter and Happy Wednesday. I've got my WSC challenge card. I think you'll like this week's sketch. I always love something with a circle. I got a little creative and in place of the circle I used the cool new Woven Basket Die-namics along with the Embellished Eggs stamp set and coordinating die, Easter Elements to make this spring filled, Easter Blessings card.

I cut the basket from MFT Kraft card stock. I touched the edges with some Walnut Stain distress ink.  I also had fun decorating some paper eggs. I used the Embellished Eggs stamp set and the dies from Woven Basket and Easter Elements to fill up the basket. I also used the Fresh Cut Grass Die-namics to add a pretty row of green grass.

Check out that pretty little bow. It's a Die-namics from the Woven Basket die. I topped it with a Whip Cream button and my favorite twine. You can also see I added a bit of dimension with some Pink Lemonade ink sponged on to the edges.

For the little tag element I pulled out the MINI Circle Doily Die-namics and topped the open circle one with a small Pink Lemonade Circle Stax 1 and stamped my sentiment (masked and pieced together from a few different sentimens from the stamp set.

The papers are from MME and I paired them with MFT card stocks in Kraft, Banana Split and Pink Lemonade.

I used some of the same card stock colors and added another sentiment from Embellished Eggs. I stamped that in Kraft ink.

Here is this week's sketch.
