WSC118-Let's Celebrate You

Hello! I have my sample for this week's Wednesday Stamp Club with My Favorite Things. I do love this day and always LOVE the sketches. I went big with my circles and I also flipped the sketch, placing the buttons on the right side of the card.

I used ALL MFT product on this one. Yep, no pattern paper on this one. In fact I had fun making my own polka dotted background with the Darling Dots stamp set. I stamped them on Smooth White card stock with Sno Cone premium dye ink.

I used the Circle Stax 1 Die-namics to cut the image panel and the Sno Cone Circle.  I thought a pretty doily would look great with this circle cluster. I used the Dizzy Doily Duo Die-namics to cut a small doily with Night Shift Blue cs

I also tried my hand at coloring the PI-Birthday Girl image with my Prisma Colored pencils on Kraft cs. I loooove the results. It was so easy with the help of the latest MFT Academy tutorial by Inge. You should check it out of you haven't. See the tutorial HERE.

I tied the whole card up with a pretty Sno Cone grosgrain ribbon and finished off with some Nightshift Blue buttons and yummy twine.

I also wanted to show you a close up detail shot of the edges of my card. I have been doing this a lot lately and I always love the results. It's a simple way to add a little more dimension to your card. After stitching around the edges, simply use your fingers to roll and fold up the edges of the card stock up, to the stitch line.

I also made the inside pretty to coordinate. I stamped more Darling Dots in Sno Cone ink along the bottom of Sweet Tooth cardstock. I then added the PI, stamped in Kraft and another sentiment from the stamp set with some Blu Raspberry ink.

Here is this week's sketch.
Have fun with it. We encourage you all to play along, and to enter your card in the weekly draw for a $15 gift voucher to the MFT Boutique. Simply follow the sketch and create a card or other paper creation. You may use any stamps and supplies that you wish. Each week, a keyword is assigned to the sketch. All you need to do to enter, is upload your card to the gallery at SCS, and enter the given keyword in the keyword box, during the upload process. After the deadline, we randomly choose a winner from that week's entries and the winner will receive a $15 gift voucher. If the winning card uses MFT stamps, the participant will earn a $5 bonus, for a total of a $20 gift voucher!

Be sure to stop by the MFT Blog for all the sketch details and to see who is playing along from the DT.
