Squeezing one more in!

Hope you are all enjoying the final day of 2012. We've done a little bit of everything today and will be ringing in the New Year right here are at home. Just where I like to be, surrounded by my beautiful family and surrounded by some wonderful friends.  Low-key, warm, safe, and fun!!!

I have one more card from 2012 to share. Everyone needs a hug, don't they??? This Pure Innocence stamp, Bear Hugs, is from My Favorite Things and  is too, too cute. (All links to the products I used are listed below).

 I used the Bear Hug sentiment one the outside along with a few accents with some Mix and Match Banner pieces.  The designer paper is a gorgeous pack by Glitz designs, Yours Truly. You can pick it up from the MFT Boutique. A pop of red was added with a Wild Cherry Button and the sentiment stamped in Wild Cherry ink.

Here's a closer look at my cutie pie girl. I used the stipple technique (not sure if that's the official name of making fur by dabbing on small dots of Copics to an image, but it's what I call it!).

I still had all the Copic markers I used on this cutie, so I snapped a photo of them. I always love to see what colors other's use. Thought you might like it too.

I also stamped up the inside with a second sentiment from the same stamp set. I added more of the gorgeous papers and a few more Mix and Match Banner pieces. Card stock on my card are MFT's Natural and Nightshift Blue.

Be sure to stop back here tomorrow.....I've got a give away with a special announcement and a FABulous blog hop....you won't want to miss.

Happy New Year....good-bye 2012 and Hello 2013!!!

CR84FN69 {The Best Things}

Welcome back and Happy New Year (almost)!! After our short break, the CR84FN DT is back with our color challenges. 2013 is going to be a GREAT year!!! We hope you'll continue to join us.
This month we are lucky to have a guest designer hanging out with us. Please welcome Lisa Snowdy. You can check out her blog HERE

How about this month's challenge.....Here is the beautiful graphic. You can stop by the CR84FN Blog to see all the challenge details. You have two weeks to play along (as much or as little as you'd like).

Here is my take on the colors....Raspberry, Lavender, and a neutral. I went with kraft for my neutral (shocker, right?!!!).

I used all MFT goodies to pull my card together and a sketch from The Deconstructing Sketch. Links are all listed below (and a few through my post here).

Quick question.....I Love my Inlinkz tool! Do you find it helpful???

I thought this message was a beautiful one, to reflect on as we start a new year. I am not one for making resolutions, but I do like to reflect a little and remind myself the the Important things are.

The stamp set is Vertical Greetings II.  I stamped MFT Premium Dye ink in Razzle berry....seriously SWOONING over this ink!!! It.Is.AWESOME.

 I used the matching Die-namics with it too. I created the polka dot strip with Darling Dots stamp set and some Grapesicle cs.

The sweet little scalloped edge (cut from corrugated cardboard. Don't have any? run some Kraft cs through a crimper). I glittered up a Butterflies Die-namics with some Glitzy Glitter and then tied on some raspberry twine. YUM!

Be sure to hop along the DT blogs for more inspiration.

Friendship Warms my Heart

We are gearing up for a snow storm.  I'll believe it when I see it. Our part of Cincinnati got skipped two days ago when other parts of the state, just an hour or two north, got hammered! I want some snow. My kids want snow. I want to go sledding. I hope we get the 4 inches they are predicting.

I used one of the newest PI's-Warm Wishes to make this sweet friendship card. I can't stop using the beautiful shabby chic papers by Glitz Designs-Cashmere Dream. I played up the pinks and reds to make this card a bit more girly.

I used this week's Sweet Sunday Sketch.  I flipped it to fit my image. Plus I like making vertical cards way more than horizontal cards.

I colored the PI with my copics and then pieced her up with some pretty coordinating papers. I mounted her on a Postage Stamp Stax Die-namics with some foam dots.

I added in a small strip of Scallop Edge Die-namics in the background and tied a twine bow around the card.

A tiny heart from Notched Tags Die-namics accents the sentiment.

Thanks for stopping by. I've got lots of posts coming up....CR84FN returns, next week is the start of MFT Teasers and I am also joining in on a Super Cool Blog hop on New Years.  You'll want to stop back by.

MFTWSC104 {little something}

Are you having a holiday hangover or are you still enjoying the festivities. I LOVE the day after Christmas. I overlook the mess around my house and we VEG-OUT!! I might not be out of my jammies yet. How about you???

I worked a bit ahead, so I could make sure I didn't miss this week's WSC sketch challenge.  I pulled out some old with the new and had more fun with that gorgeous Woodland Park Papers by October Afternoon. This go-round I pulled out the butterflies.

I also pulled out one of my favorite MFT colors, Gumdrop Green. I love green. Purple is my favorite color, but I think green is a close second. At one point, most of the rooms in my house were some shade of green. I love the earthy tones. I am usually drawn to the more olive tones, but I do love a good, solid, green, green. Gumdrop is perfect.

I used the pretty Vertical Greetings II Die-namics  to stamp my sentiment (from  Gift Card Greetings II) and then accented it with those oh-so-cool people (Paperdolls Girl Border Die-namics).

The tab embellie was created with one the MIX and Match Banner pieces, topped with a Gumdrop Green button.

Here's the inside to coordinate. Sentiment is from Gift Card Greetings and I added a bit of the new Looped border and a large butterfly from Beautiful Butterflies Die-namcis

and Here is this week's sketch.

You’ll want to be sure to play along for your chance at the weekly prize, valued at up to $20 in vouchers to the MFT Boutique. You can submit your entry using the keyword MFTWSC104 to the Gallery at Splitcoaststampers. Entries for this week’s challenge will close on Tuesday, January 1st,  at noon EST.

 Kim's Blog has the line up with today's inspiration. Hop on over there!
