A new month, a new set of Challenges!

Welcome to my {ippity} post for today. If you are looking for the MFT Teaser Post, please scroll down!  Thanks for stopping by.  Eva is our hostess with the mostest this month and boy does she have some FABULOUS ideas to inspire us this month.
It's the first week of the {ippity}  Challenge with a Twist series and that means you've got another great sketch to work with. I do love this one (okay, I've loved each month so far). A great sketch makes creating a whole LOT easier!

I had some happy mail days last week and I am so excited about these new papers. The Gertie and Hazel lines from My Mind's Eye just make me giddy! The colors are so me and of course the flowers and patterns are fun to work with. Today I'm working with Gertie. I also pulled out some {ippity} that hadn't seen ink in awhile.  I used the Thought from the Past background stamp and Life is a Journey and added a sweet sentiment flag with the help of (yes, again!) How You Doin'?
I did flip the sketch and added some scallops.  Remember the sketch is just a starting point. It's a new month and another great prize is up for grabs.

Be sure to play along, upload to SCS and use keywords: ippity and IHHTC3.  Be sure to check out the {ippity} blog for lots of ippity inspiration.

more MFT Teasers-Day 4!

We're getting closer to release night! Is your list getting longer and longer by the day??? Fabulous stuff, right??!!! Well, it keeps getting better and better. Today we've got two more sets to share.

Before I get started, here are the details about the upcoming release on March 1st at 10 PM EST:

  • The MFT release is on March 1st at 10 PM EST. You can attend the release party from 8-10 PM EST here in the forum for fun, games, and prizes! All the new sets and dies will be available on March 1st at 10 PM EST.
  • The guest designer contest is ON! Check out the forum for details on how YOU can win over $100 in stamp sets and play along with the DT for a month.
  • If you'd like to see all the teasers for today, please click on over to Kim's blog NOW! Be sure to leave comments as you go for a chance to win one of 2 $10 gift vouchers being given away daily, just for leaving a comment. :) Check Kim's blog every day for the winners.
The two new sets we're sharing today are called Bee Yourself and Inspired By Flowers.  I wanted to show you how pretty these flowers can be without coloring them.  Sometimes you just don't feel like coloring and that's okay.  You can still make a great card. This Webster's Pages dp was my starting point and I was really drawn to the purplish-black ink in the design.  So right away I knew what I wanted to ink my flower up with-SU basic black ink.  I was NEVER a fan of this ink, not a true black  and too much purple in it, but it was perfect for todays card.  Love that! That's why it's hard to let some crafting supplies go....sometimes those "rarely used" products come in handy!

I also was excited to show off this new doily die-namic.  I'm in LOVE with the dizzy doily.  I cut it out with whip cream cs and then gave it a light sponging with some tea dye ink.

Some stitching and a little seam binding ribbon and this card was complete.  Well, almost. I also did up the inside so I could add one of the great sentiments from this set.

The new dizzy border was  a natural choice for a little extra something on the inside. I also stamped another flower on the dp.  Looks like it was part of the designer paper. Did you catch it?

That's all I've got for today. Off you go to check out the other fabulous teasers by the rest of the DT. Kim's got the full line up!

Day 3: MFT Teasers

Are you drooling? Aren't the new stamps and die-namics just amazing.  I don't know how she does it, but month after month, Kim comes up with the cutest and bestest products ever!  Today is Pure Innocence day and I KNOW you've been waiting for this.

There are 5 PI cuties coming to the boutique this month: Daffodil, Warm Fuzzies, One Sweet Chick, Girl Scout, Boy Scout.  Go ahead, squeal with excitement! I did, when I first read what was to come. Now wait till you see them. You'll squeal again. lol!
I did up the sweet little PI Boy Scout.  I've got a cub scout in my household.  He's working on his Bear Badge.  While I was coloring this little guy up, I couldn't help but think of our Den Leaders.  They really put in a lot of extra work and all on a volunteer basis.  I made this for them, to say Thank-You!
The sentiment block, is actually one whole stamp, just like I used it here, but you could easily ink up any part of the block to use each of those sentiments individually.

The Sheltering Tree and leaf trio die-namic was just begging to be used with this little guy. I also thought it would be great to show you that the new Sweet Stack die-namic can be used with ANY set.

I loved it here on the inside of my card. The "do a good turn daily" sentiment was a perfect fit to that word window (I'm soooo happy to have a larger, more versatile size of this die. My tiny punch, just doesn't fit much.)

I'm working on a few more samples with these new cuties.  I know you'll see the rest of them along the way.  I'll be sharing them on release night! Warm Fuzzies and One Sweet Chick are just too, too cute!

Off you go to Kim's Blog! Enjoy the day.

Today you'll be seeing teasers for the new Say What?stamp set (there are matching quote bubble die-namics! soooo cool!) and the Clearly Sentimental about Parenting set

That's what I've got for you today. I used the WSC sketch from the other week, because it was perfect for quotes. I also added a heart with the Hearts A Plenty die and added some wings from Inspired by Love set! It's great to mix and match your sets, especially when you are pairing them with the CS line up! Card stock is sno cone and fossil with some Oct. Afternoon, Report Card dp.

Don't forget to see Kim's Blog for the full list of teasers. I've got more for you tomorrow.

MFT Teaser Time!

February was here and now it's almost gone! That's okay, because March 1st brings lots of NEW fabby MFT stamps and die-namics!  This release is going to knock your socks off!  Let's start the teasers with 3 new stamp sets and some dies to match!

First up is a new Fred Bear.  He might be my FAVE to date. He's called Oopsie Daisy and I'm warning you he's pretty darn cute!  I love that there are little bees and a butterfly included in the set.
They are separate from the main image, so you can add as many as you like and put them where ever you like. I did up the inside to coordinate. You'll see I used the Layered Labels die-namics for the sentiment.
The sketch is Jen's  ASFYTT for this month. I love anything with a circle. I've been patiently waiting to use this sketch.

Then I've got the new Flapper Doodles! We haven't seen these chic ladies in a while, and this set, My Favorite Hello is sure sweet. I adore the double squares and the can phones....ack! So fun!  I couldn't resist adding a few rolled flowers. Easy peasy with the Rolled Flower die-namic

Finally for today you're gonna FLIP for this new set called, Sassy & Sweet! It's something completely new to MFT, with such a fresh and funky feel. It's a perfect addition to the boutique.
Not to mention  a perfect addition to my stamp collection (and yours) right when I have some nieces that are coming of age-TWEENS!  Plus, there are new layered die-namics to match and coordinate with this set-Sweet Stack Labels! Perfection!
Look a the fun zebra and cheetah prints.....it's all so SASSY! The cool thing about those stamps, is they are a bit larger than the dies-cuts.   This allows you to stamp more easily without missing. You can be a little "off" and still make it. Doing it this way ensures that the pattern extends all the way to the edge of the paper instead of having a white border around the stamped image.  Yep, MFT thinks of everything. ☺ Also, those fun flourishes and the stamped butterflies are all part of the set, too! It's chuck full of goodness! I accented this card with the little open scallop border die-namic and butterflies die-namic.

I know this was a super long post today and I hope you like what you see.
I've got one more card today using LOTS of the new die-namics being released this month. This is my sample for the Guest Designer Contest. Use die-namics to add dimension to your card. Easy to do with a few cuts and some foam dimensional tape. (need some, I use these, that Jody sell!).

Here are the new die-namics included on this card:
upsy daisy flower builder (flowers, leaves, and centers included...with embossing!)
dizzy border
Sweet Stack

Okay, that's it from me today. Kim's got the full line up of teaser posts. Don't miss out! See you back here tomorrow!

More MFT Good News!

I've got a sweet little à la mode for you today. There's some exciting news over on Kim's blog. Hop over there to see what it's all about. I know I'm super excited about it.

I created this a while back for a pub call and it was a reject! I'm over it  and am not looking for a pity party. I'm just happy to show her off today. She's one of my faves from the à la mode line up (miss you a latte). You'll also find the small open scallop die-namic and the oval from Layered Labels on this card.

Can't make a card with out those die-namics and twine!!! did you see, MFT now has TWINE! Most colors are already sold out. But NO worries, Kim's already got a re-order in the works.

PTI-Make it Monday and glittered Strips

I got my box of new PTI goodies today. Love happy mail day. I got busy with this week's Make it Monday challenge-glittered strips. This was sooooo easy and I do love the effect!

I also decided to play along with Heather's new  color challenge.
Totally Hues #2:
Aqua Mist
Ocean Tides
Raspberry Fizz
Dark Chocolate

I love the new Tag Sale #4 die, and the Hello, Friend stamp set with matching Friendly Flower die....it all works together so well. I also couldn't resist my FAVE double ended banner.

I'm also happy to say, I've been invited to join the Papertrey Posse Blog Group. We're just a group of crafty friends who love to share PTI products. We have monthly just-for-fun challenges...come join us.

I used lots of my FAVE products here today, which is our Feb. Parade of Blogs Challenge. This card is going out to a dear friend of mine who has been dealing with a lot of life drama! I hope this makes her smile.

It's Wednesday Stamp Club

Hello and good day! I hope it's a good day for you. It's a good one for me. I'm feeling refreshed and a little lighter. It's amazing what a good hair cut can do for a girl. I got about 6 inches cut off yesterday and I feel great. My hair has been looooong ( down the middle of my back) for over two years. I felt it was time for a little change. I'm not one who is tied to my hair.  It's been every color, style, and length, but I did get stuck in a rut and it was time to shorten it up again. Not to mention how healthy it now feels. Ahhhhh!

We've got another great sketch for you to work with this week. I was inspired to use the fabby new
sentiment set, The Great Outdoors and so that is how my card came to be. I played up the CAS feel of it and use a soft, pretty color pallette. I love the bright yellowish-orange with the pink and cream.
You'll find 3 die-namics here-small scallop border, sunshine, and hearts a plenty.

Be sure to play along. There is always a gift certificate up for grabs and if you use MFT stamps, you'll earn an extra $5 if you win! Pretty cool, huh?!

Kim's got the line up of inspiration from the Challenge team and some fellow DT members.  You can also read all the deets over in the forum.
ETA: OMG! did you see what's new in the MFT Boutique??? Kim's added TWINE!!!! I'm in heaven. Love this stuff.

This one is called Falling For You. Too, too cute! Papers are some older Jillibean Soup. I just loe that green and yellow plaid. The banner was created with MFT mini banner die-namic and the small scallop topper is also MFT. The size is perfect-o for cards!

{ippity} Challenge with a Twist-week 4

It's another Monday and I'm here with our final week of this month's {ippity} Challenge with a Twist. Hopefully you've been playing along all month long and have lots of entries in the gallery.  If not you still have a week to get busy! We'll be picking a winner for the FABBY PRIZE package next week.
This week is our twist week, and Angie has challenged us to use Ribbon! Ha! No, challenge, right? Should be easy.
I do admit, since I had another male birthday card to make, this was a bit of a challenge for me. As much as I wanted to put a frilly, pretty bow on my card, I figured my BIL wouldn't appreciate it. So I went with my male stand-by, Twill ribbon and some twine. My beautiful Divine Twine has been taking the place of my ribbon on a lot of creations lately. I just adore this stuff.
I also kind of, sort of used this month's sketch on this card, too. I was happy to pull out those cutie-pie fish from Fishy Philosophy and paired it up with none other than, How You Doin'?

Good luck and have fun with this week's challenge. I'm off to spend some time in the {ippity} gallery! Be sure to stop by the {ippity} blog for the list of hoppers today!

A Give Away and some birthday cards!

I've been watching my followers number slowly creep closer and closer to 200. Right before my birthday I decided I would pay it forward and do a little giveaway once the number reached 200.  AND right before my birthday it happened. Wow! I can't believe it and am so grateful for all my followers and readers and even if you aren't a follower, I still appreciate you stopping by. Thanks for all your comments and kind words day after day!
My birthday week was crazy busy, followed by me getting a nasty COLD-yuck and then this week it has been beautiful outside, so we've been getting lots of fresh air. Feels GREAT!!! It's been fun to watch the boys re-discover the swing set out back.  I love Spring (even if it's not officially here, yet).

So what does this have to do with my give away???  Everything. Lucky for you and for me, I was contacted by CSN Stores to give one lucky commenter from this blog post a $50 gift certificate to spend in any of their stores. Not familiar with their stores??? Check it out, they sell pretty much everything from Swing Sets, to shoes, to coffee makers and even the kitchen sink! HA! There are over 200 stores to shop from.

It's easy to enter.
  • leave a comment here on this post by Monday, Feb.21 at 8 am
  • This give away is only available to US and Canadian residents
Good Luck! I'll be posting the random winner sometime later in the day on Monday.

I do have two quick birthday cards to share. The first is R's birthday card. I used the sweet little froggie from Rainy Day Friends and the sentiment is from Loveosaurus. The fun papers are Jillibean, Monster Soup.

I also squeezed in this week's WSC sketch....finally!
This card is for my dad's birthday. He loves to fish, so I thought he might like this Something's Fishy à la mode.
I added some of the cute waves from the catch a wave die-namic. I didn't have this punny sentiment by MFT (I think I do own it from 3 different stamp companies....it's a popular one. lol!) so I made my own. I used the Birthday from More Essential Sentiments and then added "fishes" with the Banner Day alphabet. Turned out cute, huh?!

Hope you all have a fabulous weekend! See you back here on Monday.

Friday with Friends

Keeping it short and sweet on this Friday. Spring is in the air and boy does it feel good! LOOOVE that we have been able to get outside and feel the sunshine and a little bit of warmth. I'm sure it's just a tease for now, but hey, I'll take it!
I'm here with my Friends With Flair post. Used an image and sentiment from the Unity Jan. KOTM-to the moon and back. I love making these long skinny cards. This measures 3x6. The paper is from October Afternoon-Campfire. Those stars are just dreamy! A little scallop edge, twine and a stick pin complete this card. This one was really fast and easy to create.
Check out the Unity blog for the list of FWF. Enjoy your weekend.

a little Papertrey Ink.....Make it Monday Challenge

I like to consider myself an equal opportunity stamper ☺ but finding the time to use all my precious stamps is hard.  I did squeeze in this card to play along in the new Papertrey Ink Make It Monday series. I missed the first one, during their birthday celebration, but I didn't want to miss 2 in a row. So here it is. The challenge was to use a Vellum Sentiment Strip somewhere on your card.

I cut one with the Double Flag Banner die and stamped a HB sentiment from the Just the Ticket stamp set. I added a few handmade tickets, a strip of ric rac (on dotty biscotti dp) and mounted it all on my FAVE tag sale 1 die. Color combo here is: new leaf, Fresh Linen, dark chocolate, and a touch of Summer Sunrise

This one is for my new BIL and I can't wait to get it in the mail to him. It's a little late, but I know he'll feel good that I even remembered!

Thanks for stopping by today. Sure felt good to use some of my PTI goodies. It also helps justify the new order I just placed ;) There were some amazing products released this month!
