MFT TEASER TIME...day 3

Today is the much anticipated Pure Innocence Teaser day.  I had a hard time deciding which sets to share today.....it's so hard to pick, they really are adorable in their own way. So I colored them all up and drew 2 from the pile to show today and I'll save the others for later. I'm not being mean....it is a teaser after all. lol! Before I jump in.....

This month we've got five Pure Innocence cuties for you- Graduation Girl, Graduation Boy, Crazy for Daisies, I Get a Kick Out of You, You Color My World.  Naturally I was drawn to the Graduation Boy set...it's just were my mind automatically goes with a house full of them. Lucky for me, I've got time before my 3 walk across that stage. But it's always good to have one in your stash ready to go. We've got a few neighbors graduating this year.
I used the Echo Park-Little Boy paper for my card. Love those colorful stars and it gave me a chance to pull out the fun star border die-namic adn the stacking stars die-namic.  You'll see I used the Four Point frame again for my sentiment....you'll be seeing that a lot from me-love the shape!!!  I took the idea from Michele to roll up some paper to make a faux diploma. I added it as an embellie to the star. Thanks for the idea, Michele...it's a great accent and easy to do.

I stamped the boy on x-press blending cs (have you tried this paper yet??? it's a copic's dream, blending is sooo easy and you don't use a ton of ink like you do with thicker cs).  I attempted to give him freckles, but it looks more like day-old stubble, doesn't it?  Wait.....I meant to do that, gives my PI an older look!

I carried over more of the same design elements to the inside and added a sentiment from the Graduation Girl set...that's the cool thing about these sets, same set concept, different genders AND different, interchangable sentiments. Couldn't resist more of that fabulous twine in peapod!

Then I've got a great girl card (but secretly, while making this I soooo WISH I had this same set with a boy....oooooh Kiiiiiiiiim???? Can you make that happen?).

This set is really cool, cuz there are 3 different balls included along with sentiments to match them all-basketball, soccer, and volleyball. It's really easy to change the balls out. You just need to do a little easy peasy paper piecing. Fun!  I also snuck in the new open zig zag border die-namic and used the fishtail banner.  Today I only used the flat, straight pieces, left off the scallops. That's what's great about this banner, so many ways to change the look.

It's easy to make the insides of your card pretty. Add a border, partial image from the one you used on the front and add your sentiment. Here I created my own with the fun, new typewriter alphabet.

.

There you go and now off you go.  check out Kim's blog...she's got the full set images AND the list of those playing along today.
