Thanks Becky!

Let's just say wow! I am in love with this color combo my friend Becky used on these cards. I was also lucky enough to receive one of these beauties in the mail. Thanks, girl!
I just couldn't wait to try these colors out. So I didn't, and got busy using two great go-to sets by There She Goes (Dance and Everyday Greetings) and a fabulous sketch by Jen del Muro.

I adore her SFYTT and for some reason I can't find which sketch this is. I swear it was from this week, but mine doesn't quitelook like the sketch on her blog. I had printed it from FB. Anyhoo! I'm happy with how this turned out-so bright and cheery and I can't wait to give it away next week to one of my BFF's!

The picture just doesn't do it justice. That's what I get for photographing at night. I'll see if I can get a better one later today. Thanks for stopping by! See you tomorrow.

Monday with Ippity

Another Monday and another H{ippity} Hop! Thanks for coming by. This week we have an inspiration challenge. I knew right away what I wanted to do. I embraced the white, gave it some pretty embossed swiss dots and added lots of color pops with my fun letters (alphabetically adorable) and scalloped squares. This week is my 10 yr. anniversary with my sweet hubby. We are not a mushy gooshy couple, so this card will be perfect for him-straight to the point! I softened it up with a red felt heart and finished it off with my fave embellie-a button! I can't wait to see what you all do with this week's challenge. Stop by the {ippity} blog for the full list of participants. Enjoy the day!

Cork and Felt-Wed. Stamp Club

Did you see the Wed. Stamp Club challenge for this week? Kim has asked us us to use felt or cork or both on our MFT creations this week. I finally inked up this PI cutie-cart full of friends. The cork might be a little hard to spy, but look close at the wagon. I thought it added a fun element to the wagon. I couldn't resist adding the Jumbo ric rac felt peice. I have always loved my punches, but I am sooo loving my die-namics dies because you can cut SO MANY different materials with them. I also used some new fossil cs that MFT is carrying-LOVE this too! And I might as well point you to the twill ribbon, too! There are so many new, fabulous products in the store.

FWF! Yes, you read it right!

I'm so excited to be joining the great Unity inspiration today. I finally found some time to play with my much neglected and beloved Unity stamps. I used this month's KOTM to create this card with some October Afternoon dp and one of my favortie, go-to color combos.
I kind of mixed styles on this one with the funky, retro pattern of the yellow scallops and the vintage, Cabbage Rose ribbons, and the cutsie button/heart charms. I think it works, though! Thanks for stopping by! visit the Unity blog for the full Friends with Flair line up.

Hip Hop Fun! Post no.1 for the day!

Today is full of stamping fun. I've got the TSG sneak peek for you and here I'm showing some fun Ippity! I decided to use the sketch from this week's challenge. Maria has been doing a fabulous job coming up with beautiful sketches for us to work with. While my focus is on all the cute designer paper (Fly a Kite by October Afternoon), I also combined two {ippity} sentiments-the happy from A Little Buggy and the birthday from Just Wanted to Say. It was so fun to give this to a friend last night for her birthday-she loved it! All right, off you go, there's lots to see today.
Oh, and don't forget along with all the stops in the hop today, be sure to leave a comment on the {ippity} blog for a chance at a prize. I've got a tutorial over there, check it out.

I decided to color up the flowered window box and placed the cute little birdie perched right on the edge. Once again, I had fun with the Delovely dp and came up with another bright color combo. You can 't see it well in the picture, but I added lots of sparkle with some Stickles glitter.

Last month, one of the Mother Of All Blog Hop winners was Wendy Bond. You may recognize her name because she was actually one of the Trendsetters last term! No the contest was not rigged and as soon as I found out that she was one of the winners, I was sure that everyone would think it was. But I can assure you that everything was fair and square and Wendy won because the Random Number Generator chose her number lol! Wendy and I worked together on this fun drink themed set that you are going to love!! With fun image combinations and sassy sentiments, you are going to have so much fun mixing drinks while you stamp ;)
I'm having fun with the bright, cute papers from the Delovely mini deck by Cosmo Cricket. This yellow circle pattern is one of my faves. I added sugared rim to my lime and martini glass with some Martha Stewart clear tinsle glitter.

Monday H{ippity} Hop

So no CAS card today and not a lot of chit chat. We just spent a fabulous weekend with my family for my sister's weddding. It was beautiful and I'm just so happy she has found love again.

I've got the challenge for this week's IHHC29-paper piecing. I took on LOTS of cutting with the flourish from Now & Always and then pieced up the butterfly from the same set. Love how it came together and the fun bright colors of the Delovely paper by Cosmo Cricket. And finallyl I got my hands on some of that beautiful seam-binding ribbon. I was too impatient to make my own, Karen and Eva, lol! so I just bought some! LOVE it!

Meet Wyatt! and Help Support a Friend in NEED!

oh, boy! I've been enjoying the new sweet Wyatt and Emma stamps by MFT. Today I am introducing you to Wyatt. He's from the Wyatt Says Wow set. I made this for last week's Wed. Stamp Club challenge and never got it loaded in time. Oh, well. I still love how the card turned out. The challenge was to keep it earthy. I used a neutral color scheme thanks to the Manilla Basics by Basic Grey and a piece of recycled cardboard cut with my Top Note die.
Wyatt is stamped on MFT perfect panels white cs and colored with copics. I used the MFT cork, cut with the Fresh Grass die-namics die-LOVE that! what a fun border for masculine/boy cards. I tea-dyed some MFT twill and finished it off with a wood button from the Earth Girl button collection. Lots of NEW MFT goodies on this card.
Here's the finished inside of the card. I love using strips of coordinating elements from the outside and putting them on the inside to pull the whole card together. I've got a sweet little Emma card done too. I'll be sharing her soon. Enjoy the weekend. Next week starts with H{ippity} Hop fun and sneak peeks for the TSG release. See you back then.

ETA: this just in! Help support a great cause.
As some of you know, Eric Liles, Susan's hubby, has been bravely battling a rare and aggressive cancer. They've been in treatment now for several months, but the road ahead is long and as you know, the bills don't wait.
Susan designs for MFT, TCP and VERVE, and all three have banded together in a fund-raising effort that also benefits YOU!
By shopping at either TCP, VERVE, and/or MFT, you can save 10% now through Sunday, June 20th.

In addition, the three Companies are donating a portion of the proceeds for the next three days directly to Susan and Eric so they can devote their energy and time toward healing and caring for their children and not worrying about how to pay for rising medical bills.

Ippity and Unity Hip Hop

It's so good to see you all back here for another Thursday of {ippity} and Unity fun! Didn't you love the new sets released last week? wow!

Before I show you something crafty, I thought I show you what my 3yr. old does all day long (when we are home, that is). He is sooo in love with our doggie (a 10yr. old Golden) and actually drives the dog nut-o. He is always touching, loving, hugging, and sitting with Boomer. It's sweet, isn't it? But poooor Boomer.....he just wants to be left alone. He take is all and just looks at me with the biggest, saddest puppy-dog eyes, saying, "just get him away from me, please."

This week I have an earthy card for you. I'm diggin' my Max and Whiskers dp by Basic Grey. I've got some ideas for the animal prints but for now I'm having fun with the rest of the cute patterns. I guess I'm on a CAS roll with my {ippity} stuff. It's a nice change of pace for me with all the detail I put into my DD creations (this month's gallery is up and You're Invited!). I just adore the simplicity of the Faith Blooms stamp set by Ippity. I also couldn't resist throwing in a Bit of Burlap. (you can purchase these stamps HERE!)
I also decided to change the look of the flower a bit by adding a Hawaiian Shore button. don't you love the woodgrain detail on the button. I inked up only part of the sentiment, too-LOVE that. More bang for your buck!

Maria is up next. Make sure you hop on over to the Unity blog and the {ippity} blog for all the fun and details. I think there's some prizes involved, too.

MFT VIP and Finally....the Secret is out!

OMG! I hate keeping secrets (I'm good at it, but it's hard!), and here in stamping blogland, it's always worth the wait. I have been sitting on this exciting news for about a month now and I'm just giddy for you to all find out. I'm now part of the MFT Design Team!!! My term officially doesn't start until July 1st, but the first of the month is always busy for MFT with new release sneak peeks, so Kim is letting us (yep, there are 3 of us!) announce the good news today!!! Yippeee!
Today is the My Favorite Things, Who's That Girl VIP blog hop.

Hopefully you just came from Christina's blog. I had the privillage of meeting this fabulously, creative and sweet girl IRL last month. We only live about 20 minutes from each other, how fun is that! If you are just getting started hop on back to Kim's blog so you don't miss out on any of the details and fun!

Not familar with the MFT VIP kit?

It is a ONE DAY ONLY promotion where YOU have the opportunity to purchase the WTG set THREE WEEKS early. Here are the details about the VIP Kit:

*July Who's That Gardening Girl ?VIP*

(June 15th 10 PM EST through June 16th)
Here's What you Get! all for $36.95

  • Who's That Gardening Girl? stamp set
  • Ruffled Ribbon Garden Collection (2 yards each of 3/4" ruffled ribbon in Tomato, Celery, & Sunshine)
  • Cosmo Cricket Garden Variety
  • Garden Button Collection
  • Set of 10 White Scalloped A2 Notecards
  • Green Thumb mini stamp set (FREE, $9 value)

I used soooo many fabulous MFT products on this card. Can you spy them all? The Cosmo Cricket Garden Variety (included in this month's kit) makes the perfect background for my garden card, and not to mention the cutest little gardening outfit for my WTG. I think I need matching wellies and garden gloves like these, to look just as good when I'm in my own garden. I couldn't resist using my new Fresh Grass MFT die-namics die to make a great border for my gardening scene. One of the coolest things about this die is that you get two strips of grass with 1 run through-the postive and negative, which make it great for layering! The twill and Earth Girl button are also new to the MFT store last month. I'm soooo in love with both! I also did up a coordinating inside to my card. Left it blank so I could write my own little note to a gardening buddy!

Thanks so much for stopping by! Enjoy the rest of the hop. Off you go, next up is Cindy! Don't forget you only have 1 day to purchase this month's VIP kit, don't miss out!

TSG59-distress it!

This week's TSG challenge is to distress, tear, crinkle it-make it vintage-like! I did just that today, but with a brighter, fun color scheme. I used the beautiful Buttercups set along with some Max and Whiskers dp to pull together this rather simple vintage-like card. Lots of distressing, tea dye ink along the edges and even some hand-made tea dye twill! The flowers were colored with Copics and then covered with Crystal effects.

Play along with this challenge for a chance to win a prize. To be eligible for the giveaway, you are to create a card that has been “roughed-up”, then come back to the TSG Blog to add your name and a link to your project in the Mr. Linky that is located at the bottom of the challenge post. This challenge is open until the winner has been announced on the following Monday (May 21st). The winner will get a $5 gift certificate to use in the TSG Web store!

One Layer, just 1 layer!

Welcome back. It's been a fun, rainy, humid, busy weekend for me and the boys, doing much of nothing. Love weekends like that. How was yours? I'm always glad you pop in and join me for my H{ippity} Hop post.
I've got another CAS card, and it's only 1 layer. The other Lisa is up for the IHHC28 challenge this week and I don't want you to freak out. It is a challenge, and she is making us stretch our creativity. Yep, this week's challenge is to create a single layer card. I alway panic before I start a single layer card, BUT I always love the outcome. Today's card is no different. I've been in love with the leaves from Fall For You set from the moment I saw them and finally, I put them to use. I stamped along the left side of the card, then pieced some up with OA papers on Simply Chartreuse cs and made them into cute little charms to hang from the ribbon. I left the sentiment simple too.
I can't wait to see what you all do with this challenge. Be sure to see the full list of H{ippity} Hop participants-they're listed on the {ippity} blog!

Graduation!

So, I'm sure most graduations are about over, just in case you need inspiration for a last minute card I've got one for you today. I made this last weekend for my neighbor. He is off to France for a graduation trip and then will be attending Miami of Ohio in the fall. I'm in such awe of the boys my neighbor has turned out to the world. This is her 3rd son to graduate and they are all bright, caring, and fantastic young men. I only hope I can do the same with mine! I used a CAS layout, some Jilliebean dp, and a great go-to sentiment set by Papertrey Ink. I even did up the inside with some MFT stamps.

Have a wonderful weekend! See you on Monday!

Smile with Your Heart

Hellllo Thursday! It's another fun filled day of {ippity} and Unity Hip Hop fun! I pulled out some felt and my circle punches to create this pink beauty for you today. Recognize those flowers? They are the giant flower from Now & Always. I stamped it three times and punched out three different sized circles from it. I paired these up with another great quote, this one from Fall For You. I have these stamps if you NEED them! Order HERE.

I also used a few of my new dies: PTI giant scallop and ric rac and MFT die-namic scalloped scallops. I love my punches, but I LOVE my dies. It is so cool to be able to cut through so many different materials.

Stop by the {ippity} blog to leave a comment since you will be up for a chance at a PRIZE. Don't forget the Unity blog and the Unity forum for all the other fun stuff today. Off you go to Maria's blog.
