Oh, how I Love these little sweeties!

Today is my favorite day of the MFT sneak peeks. Now I've loved everything I've shown you so far, BUT.......today we are sharing more of the Pure Innocence line. Last month they made their debut and all 4 little cuties were a HUGE HIT!!!! I'm happy to tell you there are 4 new ones coming this month. And they just get cuter and cuter. Is that possible? I've got 2 to share today. First up is the darling little fairy. I gave her some stickles glitter to made her magic sparkle. I made this one my fave, smaller, 4 1/4 square card, so I could make that pretty loopey punched edge stick off a bit and still fit in a regular A2 envie. Did you notice? No buttony/bow on this one, instead I added a rhinestone brad. A little extra bling is a good thing. But I couldn't leave off the buttony/bow on my next card.

I love the contrast of the olive, razzleberry and bermuda bay on this card. The dp is Lemonade by Basic Grey and it has a touch of all those bold colors, but they are balanced and softened by the yellow. So, I'm dying to see the rest of the sneak peeks and what the other new little cuties look like. Stop by Kim's blog around 11 am EST for a complete list of sneak peek bloggers today!

Oh, the Truffles I've Seen and a Little Love Machine!

Today you get a two-fer!!! of the MFT sneak peeks. Along with cute little flopsey, it's also time to share the Love Machine robot mini set. So here you go!
Here's this month's beloved Flopsey, Truffles Flopsey! Forget chocolate bunnies, how about Flopsey holding some chocolate goodness? He is holding this yummy box of chocolates and there are 4 different sentiments to pair up with him. My favorite is the one I used here. I made him a white bunny with cute pink ears, colored the truffle box with copics and hit it with crystal effects again. I have used crystal effects more in the past 3 weeks than I think I have since I've owned the bottle (ummmm, over 6 years). The ribbon is my fave, Perfect Plaid found in the MFT store. While you're there, get some of the cute, and fun, baby braddies (I used white ones today). They are a perfect accent to any project!
Here's the Love Machine robot. He may look familiar to you and that's because he was only available as part of a MFT Kit, BUT one Dec.2 you can get him separately. He just makes me smile! The sentiment is the best and one my boys and I say often to each other. I made my own little moon with a cuttlebug embossing folder and a circle cutter and used some cute navy June Bug polka dotted dp. I also used the same perfect plaid ribbon, only in pink-see told you I love this stuff. Here I used a ribbon/buttony/bow tag, finished off with a clear Heidi Swapp ghost heart.
Stop by Kim's blog for all the latest MFT release news and the list of bloggers featuring the sneak peek set of the day. She'll have her post up at 11 am EST. All sneak peek sets will be available on Dec.2! Hugs, Lisa

MFT December Sneak Peeks Begin!!!!

WooooHooooo! If you spent anytime in the MFT forum the past few days you would have seen the announcement. I've had a little secret I've been keeping and the cat's finally out of the bag. I am sooooo excited and totally honored to be part of the the MFT December Temp DT. Kim gives the regular DT off this month, while letting some of the die hard MFT junkies show off the new goodies. Don't worry, the regular DT will be along to share some goodies too, they just get a break if they want one. Today the fun starts and we are show casing the frist set. It's full of lots of chocolaty goodness! It's called Love at First Sight and it is such a fun set, lots of options and uses I can see for this in my future. Today I focused on the yummy chocolate candies. I stamped them and colored with copics, then finished them off with a nice layer of Crystal Effects to make them look real. They shine just like real chocolates. Here's my detailed shot.
Be sure to see the other Temp. Team creations, I'm sure they are fabulous!!! The full list of release activities are listed here in the MFT Forum over at SCS and see who is posting each day by checking in with Kim's blog at 11 am. More fun to come tomorrow! Hugs, Lisa

FWF on Black Friday!!!

sooooo, how many of you have been out shopping already? Me? Nope, not my thing. I like my sleep too much and hate crowded stores and especially long check out lines. So I was snug in my warm bed at 4 am, actually I got to sleep in till 8am!!!! THAT's my idea of a good time! lol. I did find 2 killer deals yesterday and am SOOOOO happy about it. Um, 55% off scrapbook storage at Micheal's was a deal I couldn't pass up last night. Thankfully, the store was open till 9pm and I scooted out after dinner for a quick trip to pick up a few more pieces to my space.

So, here's my quick FWF card today. I used the cute, {ippity} set, Kissamas & Mistletoe! I used the mistletoe image and it was stamped repeatedly in a circular pattern and cut it all out with my collulzle. Added a scalloped layer behind the berries, a zigzag stitch and finished it off with a button and some twine! Oh, yeah, I colored the berries in with some copics. Want this set, you can order it HERE!!!! and with a $50 order you will get a FREE $15 set of your choice.

That's all the time I've got to day. My parents are still in town and we're off to the Christmas walk in our little town. Happy hopping and happy shopping! See the full list of FWF participants at Angela's blog or HERE on SCS. Check back tomorrow for the first day of MFT sneak peeks. I'm honored to be part of the December Temp. DT!!!!! Hugs, Lisa

Gobble Gobble!!!

Welcome to a Thanksgiving day version of Limelight's sketch and product focus. This week we have a celebrity sketch designer. Any guesses on who it is????? The one and only, Dawn McVey!!!! You know I just adore everything she does, so I was thrilled when Mandy told us we'd be working with one of her sketches this week. Here it is and it comes from this card by Dawn.

I took the sketch pretty literally. Our product focus is pattern paper, so I cut up a bunch of strips from the Nutmeg mini deck by Cosmo Cricket to create the main image panel. Ribbon is the wide, yummy chocolate satin ribbon , the button is from the Lemonade pack, and the sentiment comes from the October Unity Store KOTM. Easy Peasy and pretty stunning with that yummy bow!!!

Want to win a prize? Of course you do....here's what you need to do:

**Use the sketch above and incorporate Pattern Paper

**Key word for SCS upload is LLPC035.
**Post a comment with a link to your card to Mandy's blog and the challenge post by Sunday, November 29, at midnight (or before winner is drawn Monday a.m.)

.**PRIZE ~ One lucky winner will receive the Wisteria Paperpack by Basic Grey thanks to Limelight Papercrafts store!

It's almost Turkey Day!!!

here in the US, that is.....I can not believe that tomorrow is Thanksgiving. I'm happy about it, but I still can't believe we are about to move into December!!!! I will be back tomorrow with a fun Limelight sketch and product focus challenge. It'll be up at midnight for all you night owls!!!! Here was a super quick card, had to be quick, I've got some deadlines I'm workin' with ;) I played along with Dawn McVey's Raspberry suite color challenge #19 . I keep going back to this card Dawn made for the release and I just LOVE it. My card is based off that one! I used all PTI products and colors here-man I'm bummed you can't see the polka dots on the spring moss butterfly, it's there, I promise. The butterflies were cut with the Bigz butterfly die and a Martha Stewart punch.
Just so you know, and if I haven't said it recently, Thanks for all your wonderful comments. This blog and all of YOU make me smile each and everyday! I'm so thankful for you!!!!
Hugs, Lisa

Footballs and Birthdays

My oldest missed his best friend's birthday this past weekend while we were in MI. We picked his friend up a little something anyway, so I had to finish it off with a card. The boys all just started with basketball, but it's still ALL football in their spare time. They play it at lunch, after school, on the Wii.....football, football, football. All Joshua wants for Christmas are pro football jerseys. Which is fine by me-NO toys! So, I pulled out little Mr. Sporty Billy from Pink Cat Studio and made a football, birthday card with him. I almost always keep my designs simple on the kids b-day cards. The kids don't care about the card, but I do, so I make it anyway. Joshua wanted Billy's uniform to be black and red for their school colors. I also used a button, twine and paper from Jillibean Soup, the Alphabet Soup.

Simply Home

I hope all my US readers are heading home, where ever that may be, this week to be with family or friends on the Thanksgiving Holiday. I created this card using this fun new ippity set, Simply Home. The card is not how I envisioned it (I wanted to use some of the other animals in the set or even the house) but I think it turned out cute. The paper is by My Mind's Eye and guess what? You can get it from me, because it is part of the Ippity line.
The sketch for this card was last week's challenge over at SCS. I was in a loopy mood and used my Martha Stewart loopy punch to match the ones in the dp. The buttons, twill, and card base (ocean tides) are all Papertrey.

Order your {ippity} HERE! Order $50, get some FREE ippity.

FWF....post no. 2

of course I should have been doing a million other things on Wednesday, but I was tied to the house with carpet installation, AND my mail lady brought me my Unity Nov. KOTM, soooo what's a girl to do? I got inky! Here's the Unity creations I'm sharing today. I cut into a 12x12 sheet of textured, pink pirouette and got busy.
look, I even stamped on the back. I was sooo tickled to see this image in the kit. I got to sign my card, love that I can add this to cards I make for people. Really let's them know it was handmade and from the heart.
Here's bit more magic with this little love note (it's a small, 3x3 notecard). I added some glitter to help make the magic sparkle! I love that this sentiment nestles into the flow of the stars, but
it is a separate, individual stamp. Thanks for stopping by. See the full list of FWF blogs on Angela's blog. I really am appreciative of your time and all the lovely comments you leave! Hugs and have a great weekend! Lisa

Stamp Something-post no.1

Not a lot of time, seems like the story of my life these days.....oh, the carpet looks fabulous, my house is STILL in shambles, but I almost don't want to put anything away (it's all piled up in the basement, so I can shut the door and not see the mess) because there is NO clutter!!! Reality is, next Thursday we have 12 guests coming, so it's all got to get cleaned up. On to my card....Here's this week's Stamp Something challenge card. Check out the blog for all the details on how to play along. I used Mercy's Tuesday sketch along with a fabulous image generously donated to the DT by one of our sponsors, Soft Pencil...I just love that reindeer!!!!

I added lots of texture, colored with copics, and made a little snowy mound for them to stand on. Came together rather quickly, I like when that happens. Come back, there's a FWF post up next. Hugs, Lisa

Ippity in the House!

Sooooo, I told you earlier I have ippity in my hot little hands. Don't forget, all you have to do is place an order and you can start stamping with these wonderful stamps too! Check out the deets here! Place a $50 and get a FREE set!!! for now, check out these wonderful samples I played around with. These first two are super simple, CAS cards. Same layout, different stamps, ribbon, and embossing folders. Saw this layout earlier this morning, but for the life of me can't remember where????? I hate that, sorry!

Isn't that sentiment just the cutest? Merry Kissamas....just irresistible. Then there's these sweet little birdies in a bird cage. I love this sentiment, too, because I always use an exaggerated HeeeeellllO! in convo!
and just cause I made one more last night when I first got my box, I'm sharing it here too. I reallly love how this one came together, plus it uses my FAVE set, Devoted.

Enjoy your evening. Check back tomorrow, I've got lots of Friday goodies for you!

Hugs, Lisa

Moxie Fab-Tuesday Trigger

soooo, I love it when I see one of my bloggin' friends make rockstar status!!!! I was hoppin' through blogs Tuesday and stopped at the Moxie Fab blog when a name jumps out at me, Megan Lock. She a buddy I've met online and have gotten to know mostly through the MFT fourm, but she's everywhere. This girl's got talent! She had the Tuesday Trigger for us (it's basically an inspriation challenge) at Moxie Fab. I just had to play along. Here is the Picture that inspired her. Here's what I did. The first napkin on the left really spoke to me and I loved the idea of a set of note cards. To mimic the linen napkins I used white textured cs. I kept these very clean and simple by stamping the leaf image from PTI, beautiful blooms. I accented those leaves with some vintage buttons and twine in coordinating colors. The sentiments are from Damask designs and beautiful blooms. Here's a close up of the avocado leaf card, it's my fave!

Thanks for stopping by today! I've got lots of goodies to share tomorrow. The carpet laying was good for my mojo!

Looking for {ippity} ? You can get some free with a $50 order!!!! AND I'll have some samples up later today, if all goes well. Hugs, Lisa

A Little Christmas

Sunday I had a group of 10 ladies over for my annual Holiday SAS. It is always nice to get together with fellow stampers. I created 3 card designs and they made 4 of each of the designs. They were so pleased to walk out with 12 completed Christmas cards. I was a bit nervous how the whole afternoon was going to go, since it was the first class I've held since dropping my demo ship. They didn't even notice and I think they actually were a bit relieved to not feel the pressure to place an order. I did keep the cards all SU since that is what they are used to. Here's what we did. This one focused on the rich Christmas Cocoa specialty dsp. My sample here shows the snowflakes with a bit of shimmer (thanks to the Shimmer Paints) but the girls just stamped those with versamark. We played with the Shimmer Paints on this next card. This was about as difficult as I got this year, sponging on the white shimmer paint. I really tried hard to keep it simple, I think I did a good job-clean lines, stamping and punching, and a few little ribbon knots or tabs. This one is a close version to a card we did at Cinci Regionals. I added the Petals a Plenty embossing folder on the celery strip and they LOVED this detail. I think those embossing folders, regardless of the brand are one of the greatest paper crafting accessories invented!!! I'm outta here. My house is in shambles, I'm not feeling well, but my new carpeting should be finished up today. I'm scheduling this post, and I hoping to be back up and running later tonight. See you tomorrow! phew!!!!Hugs, Lisa

Merry and Bright

Here it is, my final chance at making it to the finals of the MFT SYTYCS contest. The theme this week was krumping. Ummmm, yeah had no clue what that was all about but if you search Utube you'll be amazed at what those guys (yes, it's mostly men doing these dance moves) can do! Kim told us to use bling and make it pop....so I took her discription and ran with it. Over the last few months I've started to dabble a bit into home decor items. While they are a bit more time consuming (which is why I rarely do them), I am starting to really enjoy making them. I made a holiday framed art piece and LooooooVE it!!!!
I used the retired SU papers, Rockability with the bare tree image from MFT, Grow Love. I made some teeny tiny ornaments with random MFT background stamps and tied them to the tree with silver twine. I even made a little snow pile at the bottom with some MS clear tinsel glitter.
I went with some color blocking for my layout, I just think it is always appealing to the eye. Once again, on this challenge I sooo wished I had a set I don't own. Bling bet would have been perfect here, so what's a girl to do but use what she's got! I die cut some letters (billboard alpha die), used a glitter Thickers, and good 'ol stamps (PTI, Fresh alpha) to create my title. I made it shine even more by adding some random clear rhinestones to those giant white polka dots. Here's one last close up of the tree to show how it pops with dimensionals of course.

Oh, I almost forgot to give you my tip on photographing framed pieces. It is so hard to take a photo once the art work is behind the glass, there's just too much glare. So I used a piece of repositional tape (you can make your own for this purpose by tapping regular tape onto your clothing to take some of the stickiness away), folded it into a loop and stuck it to the back of my art work and attached it to the front of the glass. You still capture the look with the frame, just with out the glare.

Hope you all had a great weekend. It's a busy couple days here and I hope I'm feeling better (I've been fighting a sore throat for a few days now-yuck! Sooooo not the time I need to be feeling poopey!). While I have posts scheduled, I will be off line and unplugged for a few days! We are having new carpet laid and the office is one of thee rooms, yeah! but ugh! I hate being unplugged. I'll be back before you know I'm gone, I'm sure.

Hugs, Lisa

Friends With Flair

I took that last week off from FWF and missed the fun. I made sure I got some Unity stamping in this week. I had the new November Store KOTM from Limelight Papercrafts grace my doorstep on Monday, so here I am. I squeezed these two cards in when I was supposed to be doing other things. Isn't that how it always goes?....The first is my CAS card for the SCS challenge this week-use white and 1 other color (seriously, only 1 color, Jen warned us on our coloring and that black was a color too). I went with these fun trees and all brown! I'm loving all the woodgrain paper in the Nutmeg mini deck. I added a bit of shading with an aqua painter and reinker.

I was surprised I used this fairy image so soon. Honestly, it was my least favorite image from the whole kit, that is until I saw the perfect paper by Jillibean. I decided it would make for another CAS card and I love the silhouette image. I used that heavenly satin ribbon again, ahhhhhh! There you have it a little bit of Unity goodness. see the full list of FWF participants at Angela's blog or on this thread in the Unity forum.

Looking for some {ippity}? Find it here! I should have lots of samples made up next week, since the stamps are shipping today!!!! Hugs, Lisa

Stamp Something and Bellariffic Friday-Post #1

I have a two post Friday for you. I'm actually combining 2 other challenges in this one post, just so I didn't have to make it a 3 post Friday! The Stamp Something Challenge this week was a wonderful sketch by our Sponsor, StretchNBubbles. I didn't use the digi images but how cool is it that Allison puts up a FREE digi every Wednesday on her blog. Gotta love that. Instead, I went with a Stamping Bella image from the Hugga Bugga line. Isn't she just a cutie? I added a bit of Martha Stewart Clear Tinsel glitter to her wings and the smaller heart. Paper is from Cosmo Cricket, yep, you guessed it, Nutmeg! And see that ribbon? OMG!!! if you have not seen it or worked with it, go get some from Mandy. This stuff is pure heaven....it's soft and smooth and ties so well. It's May Arts Silk ribbon and I'm sad to say I only got a few yards of it and it's almost gone already. I know what's going on my next Limelight order!!!! The Bellariffic Friday challenge was a wild card, so we were free to use what we wanted. Thanks for looking. Be sure to see what the DT from Stamp Something did with the fun digi images and come play along for a prize. Upload your cards by next Wednesday on Mr. Linky! Hugs, Lisa

Sweet Little Girls!

I'm in love with the new line of stamps MFT is carrying. I shouldn't of spent any money the other week, but couldn't resist at least a few of these new stamps. Kim has added 5 new stamp sets from the new Pure Innocence line (love that the full facial features are on these cuties). Over in the MFT forum we've been affectionately referring to these girls as *the quints*. I on the other hand had to referred to mine at the twins, since I could only afford 2. And two is better than none, so I'm grateful! Here are the first two cards I made on Monday afternoon after a very happy mail day :)I paired them up with the Cosmo Cricket paper, Nutmeg. Limelight has it in stock!!!!! Check out the specials this week: Happy Veteran's Day on November 11! Enter VETERAN as your promotional code at checkout to receive 11% off of your entire order!

Winter Polar Hugs

I inked up the Polar Love set for last week's So You Think You Can Stamp challenge over at MFT. The theme this week was contemporary-clean lines, fresh and modern. I kept the colors on the neutral side with a pop of color here and there. I'm not feeling all that chatty, so I'll keep it super short today. I'm just impressed I've got this up and posted, lol! Enjoy the day! Hugs, Lisa
